Sorry @narcASD- I totally get the disappointment! But remember we need to consolidate our weight loss. When I was grumpy last week, everyone reminded me our bodies need slow and steady to be able to sustain the weight loss.

@cheekysausage123aw thank you, I guess as I’m so overweight I thought I’d lose every week, but your right maybe my body needs time to catch up. Thanks for reporting my thread, I’ve done the same 😀

@Elliebearblues I get the disappointment! I lost nothing this week, it’s frustrating as I’ve been within my calorie allowance and yesterday went for a 45 minute power walk in the rain, also did 3 30 minute workouts during the week.

I suppose I can’t really moan as I havnt been very active or done any gym workouts due to this awful cough, so any loss is better than none x

Remember what you said to me - slow and steady it will stay off!

You’re so right! Slow and steady x

Lovesabadboy · 15/11/2025 00:31

Last Sunday was jab 5 for me - still staying on 2.5mg as the suppression is still great.
I started on 12 October and weighed myself on 13 November (It was my birthday so thought I had better weigh in before going out for lunch!) and I have now lost a total of 9lbs in one day over a month.
Not the most whizzy of weight-loss, but I am hoping that, as you all say, slow and steady will help it stay off.
I will do another weigh in before jab 6 on Sunday, but don't hold out much hope for any more off in just 3 days!!

StrongLikeMamma · 15/11/2025 07:38

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 13/11/2025 16:06

I’m currently finding that suppression wears off a lot on day 5 so might also count clicks and does on day 5 or 6 to get more jabs within the 30 days….

but still got golden dose to do from 2.5 pen yet.

Thanks for the new thread @jaelato1

I’m finding suppression is so strong at the start of the week that it’s hard to meet my protein goals. I’m now jabbing Monday nights which is fine, as it lets me relax a bit at the weekend.,
I actually would happily lose a bit slower - and maintain muscle.
I’m so wiped out the first few days, the gym feels impossible.
So, sticking with 2.5 for my second pen.
Will be interesting to see what the difference is.

Don’t beat yourself up lovely, between ill toddler and everything else this week, I’ve done zero exercise apart from one class on Monday, you can moan, we’re here for all of it!

Good plan @StrongLikeMammaI’m also staying on 5mg for a 2nd month as keen not to lose muscle and get strong suppression for the first 4/5 days after jab

Your doing great, I’m glad the supression is good for you on 2.5mg it’ll be cheaper for you in the long run, I had to move up to 5mg to get supression just did my 3rd 5mg jab now. It’s taken me 9 weeks to lose 12lbs but it’s slow and steady and considering I’ve hardly done any exercises or weight training the last month I should be happy with that. Hopefully I can get back into the gym when I’ve got rid of this awful cough x

Shitzngiggles · 15/11/2025 12:24

Thanks @jaelato1 for the new thread.

I've decided to also stay on 5mg for a second month. Although I've started getting hunger pangs I can stave them off with fruit. The most important thing for me is I'm still not getting the cravings, that was my biggest downfall, I'd reach for the biscuits before, now I make healthier choices.

I didn't lose this week but I've still lost 16lbs in 6 weeks so no complaints. I weighed myself on Thursday but I do feel as though I have lost something so might weigh myself tomorrow. I did manage to get a ring off a few days ago that I've not been able to remove for about a year or so that was a good NSV.

Have you been OK on the 5mg? I keep reading how the side effects really kick in when you go up a dose.
You are right that it will be cheaper for me overall, so I am hoping that 2.5 keeps working for me!
I am amazed how much the drug is influencing my food choices and stopping my snacking. I guess some of that is also down to knowing that I am paying a lot of money for this, so HAVE to make it work 😆
When I think about it, I actually haven't done very much exercise beyond walking a lot more, doing one Zumba class a week and a couple of 20 minute weight-training videos on You Tube a week. I can't afford a gym membership on top of the jabs, so have to improvise!

The first weekend I took the 5mg about 7hrs later I did have stomach cramps which lasted into the next day, then on the Sunday I had sulfer burps and diarrhoea which lasted the day. Not very nice but I kinda guessed I may have some side effects when moving up a dose. Last weekend wasn’t to bad but I did have diarrhoea a few times on the Sunday and touch wood this weekend after my 3rd jab of 5mg has been ok. My stomach has been cramping a bit but that started before the jab, I suffer with IBS and I got a feeling the mushrooms I had Wed/thur didn’t agree with me x

Rubiscoisfantastic · 15/11/2025 18:16

Just checking in. Haven’t been on for a while.

Jab six for me today and I’ve hit the stone mark, so very happy. Still taking 2.5mg. Not getting full appetite suppression but that’s how I prefer it.

Well done to all of you for preserving. It will all be worth it in the end!

jaelato1 · 15/11/2025 20:33

@Rubiscoisfantastic @Lovesabadboy @narcASD Well done on the losses

Officially in week 8 and still on 2.5mg as I am also still getting good suppression with willpower to resist unhealthy foods by day 6. Going to weigh in tomorrow but not expecting huge loss.

Second 3.75mg jab tomorrow morning! Suppression definitely longer on this... it lasted all week. Lost four pounds this week too! Think that's partly due to post time of the month de-bloating though.

Do ypu do 3.75 from the 5 pen? I have had jab 3 of 2.5, placed order for 5mg which has arrived (medexpress do reordering after 2 weeks) but I still have complete appetite suppression amd 0 food noise, struggling to eat a normal size meal so I may struggle on 5mg. I have slight nausea since the 3rd jab which is frustrating. Obviously this may all reduce in next 2 weeks.

Yes - i got a 5mg pen and do 45 clicks instead of the usual 60. Pen will last longer too! So you dont need to go straight up to 5mg if 2.5mg still working (of course, this isnt the "recommended" way of doing things so depends how comfortable you are with that).

Moosey898 · 16/11/2025 07:48

Hi everyone - just weighed in after my.5th week and delighted to have lost a total.of 6.6kg or 14.5lbs, which puts me in a new stone bracket!

If I lose the same again I'll be at my lowest adult weight which would be incredible. Hoping to get there by the end of the year at a push!

I'm still on 2.5 but I'm injecting every 5 or 6 days currently as the last day has zero suppression now, but I don't feel I need to go up to 5mg yet. Will see how things go after the next couple of weeks. I have decided to extend through December (before stopping to begin Fertility treatment) as I would love to hit that low weight first!

If you’re extending the pen life - do you need to keep it in the fridge the whole time?

VioletandMauve · 16/11/2025 08:31

So after 4 weeks on 2.5mg I’ve lost another 2lbs this week making a total of 10.5lbs!! Over the moon with this. Am staying on 2.5 as it’s working really well for me so don’t feel the need to move up any more at the moment.

Ah ok. Took mine out for first jab as read somewhere that the jab it stings if it’s cold. Is this not true?

Hellooo again thanks for the new thread and the heads up! I am staying on 2.5 and did jab 8 this morning. My 166lb plateau has stopped, I am now 163lbs which is a relief! I am a size 16 instead of an 18 Grin. Total loss so far is 13lbs so almost a stone in 8 weeks.

That’s amazing! I’m a 16-18 also and have found the pj bottoms that were too tight to wear before now fit. I’m 2lbs off a stone now has taken a while about 10 weeks so far, but I havnt been tracking calories and to be honest the last month not really active either as I’ve had stomach bug and then this horrid cough. Hopefully I’ll start to improve and get back into exercise x
