@wherearetheturrets my weight always goes down in the middle of the week then bobs back up at the weekend on jab day so could something similar be going on with you if you’ve recorded on a different day to usual? I’m about 2lb lighter today than I was on Sunday - but half of that will go back on again by my next official weigh in!

Quite possibly :) I’ve also just finished my period so that might have something to do with it too.

one of the things I’ve loved about my experience of mounjaro is that these blips just don’t hurt me the way they did before. I see a couple of pounds on and I feel confident that it’s temporary and will come back off soon enough. I can’t stay on it forever because we just cannot afford to, but if I could I absolutely would because I think this is the most at peace I have ever felt about my body, my eating habits, my weight etc. it’s been a real pleasure to experience and I’ll be sad to see it go!

I feel exactly the same. 😊

I was thinking in a similar way today. I’m weaning off and I’ve been hungry today and getting a bit of food noise. I was thinking how sad I was to be leaving this period of peace and security behind. But I don’t want to commit to being on Mounjaro forever. Who knows what long term solutions might be out there for us though.

I’ve not posted in ages. I kind of lost it for a bit, still not completely coping with losing my dog. However I am now officially a healthy bmi and 6lbs from goal. I don’t think I will make it by Christmas but could be close so I am hoping January.

I have 1.5 7.5mg pens left so just to decide whether I get one more then taper down.

Squiffy01 · 27/11/2025 18:51

Weigh day for me and a whole 100g off.

I went for a blood test on Monday and results are back that I have slightly raises potassium and they want to re check them, was supposed to be tomorrow but I have to work so booked in for Tuesday. Hopefully nothing to worry about.

Maintenance wk 11 - weigh and jab day

SW: 13st 7lb
GW: 10st 7lb
CW: 10st

Last jabbed 3.75mg 2 wks ago

hi everyone. I appear to have lost 3lb overnight and have hit an all time low. I’m sure this will be short lived though as I’m out for a curry tonight and a Thanksgiving meal with American friend on sat! I was going to jab today but actually have decided I don’t want to be sitting at the table in a restaurant picking at my food so going to wait until Sunday to jab. I’ve been on 3.75mg every 2nd wk for a while now and definitely start to feeling hunger and return of food noise during the second week - but I’m weighing daily and that seems to be keeping me accountable. I was going to say that I don’t really feel like I’m able to eat much more in maintenance than I was when losing but I guess I am actually still losing so there probably is scope to increase my calories a bit.

Right - I’m off for a run in the 40 mile an hour wind… hope I don’t blow away!!! Have a good day everyone!

SeaDippingandLattes · 28/11/2025 07:41

Guys I have bloody D and V again - with the awful sulphur burps. Still going strong since Tuesday evening when I made pasta with sundried tomatoes and chucked the oil in to make a sauce 🤢 fucking hell I feel dreadful. Please tell me someone else has had the same that lasted for as long as this and it can go back to normal again? I have one 10mg jab left in the fridge but to be honest I’m not sure I can bring myself to use the stuff anymore…rather be a bit fat.

Squiffy01 · 28/11/2025 08:14

@SeaDippingandLattes are you sure you don’t have a D&V bug?

@SeaDippingandLattes are you sure you don’t have a D&V bug?

Was coming on to say the same. @SeaDippingandLattes sorry you are ill but I put those things in my pasta sauce too without any side effects. xx

SeaDippingandLattes · 28/11/2025 12:38

Oh that’s good to hear! I was worried because I have used the jab for longer than a month and it was the golden dose but I’m hoping it’s a D and V bug. Would I still have awful sulphur burps with a bug? It feels very similar to when I had symptoms a few months ago but by this point I was keeping food down a bit more and it was most D then V but the vomiting and loud burps is fucking grim. Feel sorry for other people in the house 😂

WinterOnItsWayOut · 29/11/2025 11:03

Well done all for keeping going 🙌. I’ve been slowly coming down (with lots of ups and down from social events), averaging about 1/2 lb a week for the last couple of months.

Now weigh 10.2 and BMI is 23.7 which I’m v happy with although seeing a 9 on the scales would be amazing (was last visible, albeit briefly!, in 2012)

I’m going to have lots of free time now from work changes so want to focus on toning and some strength training as older women are advised to do. Fingers crossed I can actually get motivated on this point 🤣

SeaDippingandLattes · 30/11/2025 06:19

Hi guys

Im afraid I’m out of the game. Ended up in hospital for a few hours yesterday with dehydration and low blood pressure. They suspect that I’m one of a subset of people that are ‘more sensitive to mounjaro’ and have been advised to stop taking it. Silver lining is I’ve lost 8 pounds this week 😂 but I’m aware most will be water weight. I wonder if oushk will buy back that bloody expensive 10mg pen in my fridge 😂

Has anyone here come off the MJ and managed to sustain the weight loss or moved to any of the ‘natural spacedust type GLP1 claimants’?

Hope everyone else having a better weekend than me x

Uninvitedleaf · 30/11/2025 08:27

@SeaDippingandLattes so sad to hear that 😕. I hope it resolves quickly for you. Sure you’ve already thought this but at least it sounds like there should be no long term ill effects which is good.

I had the bug - I was worried it was the MJ but then a few other people from the gym had it too. It’s going round the country. Was bloody horrible, I was also constipated at the same time 😩. I found pepto bismal helped. Big hug though, it’s truly awful. Look after yourself and stay hydrated.

I’m so sorry to hear this. 🥺 Hope you feel better when it’s out of your system. How long did you take it for out of interest?

Pepperwaggytail · 30/11/2025 08:45

Morning peeps! Happy Sunday!
So I’ve fessed up to a couple of people IRL that I’m on the MJ😂
One is a really good friend who has struggled for years with her weight. She said “Wow you look amazing - how did you lose all that weight?” I said “Right, Im going to tell you the truth…” I think she might start taking it. She’s thought about it for ages.
I also told my youngest son who’s staying with us this week- there are three pens in the fridge so I thought I needed to explain! He said “Just don’t go silly and get too thin” He said his dad (we are divorced) was thinking about going on it.
There are so many super thin celebrities about at the moment, it’s pretty obvious they are all on it! It’s like the 90s all over again!

SeaDippingandLattes · 30/11/2025 09:01

@Pepperwaggytail since April this year and 4 stone 7 pounds down. The GP that I saw looked at the bloods I had done during the week and said that they indicated no damage to pancreas, gallbladder or liver etc (I went a bit yellow for a few hours yesterday so they were a bit worried initially). He palpated my abdomen and said that he would be able to feel if those areas were enlarged or inflamed and said it all felt normal so that’s good. I’ll book in with main GP this afternoon week to go through bloods properly though as there must be a reason for all the hair loss and dizziness.

congrats on your weight loss x

just re read the message - if you meant how long did I take that particular pen for it was about 7 weeks. I fessed up to the GP who said the extra 3 weeks shouldn’t have caused the issue as had been keeping in the fridge and using the sterile wipes properly etc. x

SeaDippingandLattes · 30/11/2025 09:02

@Uninvitedleaf fingers crossed - GP said pancreas and gallbladder etc look ok. Just need to properly go through the bloods and can figure out why my hair is falling out so much.
hope you are having a nice weekend x

Squiffy01 · 30/11/2025 09:15

@SeaDippingandLattes wouldn’t dehydration be because you haven’t been drinking enough more so than something the medication is doing to your body?
I’ve also had lots of hair loss and a bit of dizziness didn’t even cross my mind to go see the GP. Let us know what yours says maybe I should go see mine 🤣

SeaDippingandLattes · 30/11/2025 10:27

@Squiffy01 have had severe sickness and diorreah since Tuesday evening. Have been trying to drink frequently between bouts of being in the bathroom but I’m dehydrated because how aggressive/frequent the D and V has been. It’s been awful.

As an aside the dizziness ramped up over last couple of months, as has the significant hair loss so thought it best to get bloods done just in case so that I take action of anything that comes out of this (eg take iron if I’m now anaemic etc). GP did say the hair loss for me could also be stress. Will let you know what comes out of the results in case it’s helpful for you x

Oh I’m so sorry to hear this. There are a couple of people over on the maintenance thread who are maintaining without drugs. My plan is to come off eventually but I’m doing a slow taper. You should definitely join the maintenance thread for support and keeping your head in the game - once you’re feeling better of course. Sending hugs.

@Pepperwaggytail i also fessed up to one of my best friends… she’s on Mounjaro now too - although she’s struggling a bit and I feel guilty now like it’s my fault for recommending it to her!!

I’m in a soft play at the moment. I’ve just eaten my breakfast (muesli and Greek yog with apple) About to head home and drop off kids. Then I’ve got a 15k run planned. Really looking forward to it - I reckon I’ll get my audiobook finished!! I’m going to jab this evening - didn’t want to risk it pre run in case of…. Issues!!!

Have a great Sunday everyone xx

Uninvitedleaf · 30/11/2025 10:51

So yet again I didn’t quite make it officially into the 10st something bracket this week, although I was below 11st on the scales on Weds/Thursday as usual it’s bounced back up a little bit for the weekend. My recorded weight today is 11st 0.6lb. I can’t even round it down 😂😂. That also makes my BMI 30.2 if I calculate it in imperial, although I was irritated enough to try it in metric as well where it comes out as 29.9!!

I’ll get there next week for sure 💪.

I’m back to losing a nice steady 1-1.5lb per week since upping my dose to 6.25mg so that’s working well for me (long may it continue) and I have lost 2st 8lb in total which is 19% of my starting weight. Even had a rare few drinks this week as it was the local Christmas shopping evening where there is always free flowing Prosecco and mince pies, plus a curry on Friday night. So feeling really good overall and confident I can manage Christmas without too much derailment.

Edited

I wonder if the dizziness is just due to blood sugar fluctuations and the weight loss? If I go dizzy I usually know the scales will drop a bit. Hopefully you will be able to carry on with MJ if you want to? You’ve lost loads of weight! Over double what I’ve lost, so no wonder your body is reacting with hair loss (menopause also causes hair loss if you are in that age bracket) x

PhantomErik · 30/11/2025 19:46

I’ve stayed the same again this week. I’m starting 12.5mg tonight as been on 10mg for 12 weeks with very little movement although still downwards so I’m happy with it.

Lost 3 stone 1lb in total since the start 😊
