Hi I’m still here & still really enjoying reading everyone’s progress / stalls & updates, it’s so helpful!

My progress is still very slow & steady but I’m in a good place with it. I realised recently that I now look pretty much how I see myself in my mind’s eye if that makes sense? I’ve always felt I was curvy & chubby but for a few years before starting Mounjaro I was shocked & upset seeing my reflection as I had gone way past chubby.

I'm now a size 14-16 & weigh 12 stone exactly, this is down from size 22 weighing 16.6. I know I still a way to go but don’t really have a goal (I suppose the top end of healthy weight might be achievable &/or a good goal but I think I’ll know when I get there).

I love that I feel more inconspicuous now & I enjoy choosing clothes in regular shops. I now have too many clothes 😁

Just popping on with an update post stopping MJ almost 5 months ago for anyone interested (would also be nice to hear others experiences 😊) & also to catch up on progress of those still on MJ

Key stats:
4 April 2025 - 12.12 (BMI 30.3/BF 44%)
TW: 10.5 -2.5 stone (BMI 24.2)
6 Mar 2026 - 9.12 (-3.0 stone - BMI 23.1/BF 33%)
22 July 2026 - 10.3 (-2st 9lbs - BMI 23.8/BF 36%)

I was doing lots of exercise in March when I came off and since have reduced the intensity but still been running and a bit of swimming hence BF increase, although would like to bring this down a bit…

I am happy at 10.3 as I think below 10 I lose my boobs so ok with the slight weight gain. I’ve also been on a couple of holidays (looking at you France with your delicious bread, cheese and wine 😖) so may come down a bit.

Overall no major increase in appetite although it is more conscious to manage diet and drink water when I think I’m hungry initially. I am still doing 16:8 fasting and only eat between 11 and 7 which helps - once I start eating it’s hard to stop 🙈

I have considered the weight loss pills but then think I’m managing ok so far but it might just make life a bit easier and less thinking/control…. Anyone else trying these for long term management and perhaps other heath benefits? I think it’s only Wegovy though which I have no experience of and part of me doesn’t want to be reliant on drugs for life 🤷‍♀️

All the best to those still on the loss trajectory and hope you get to goal 🫶

I had stalled for months about half way to goal so ive gone for a reset. Will restart hopefully next week.

I had stalled for months about half way to goal so ive gone for a reset. Will restart hopefully next week.

I’m finally starting back Friday after a cancer diagnosis and treatment. I had to stop taking it in Jan ahead of surgery and only feel confident post radiation treatment to start now. I lost all my weight April to Aug - then plateaued until Jan. Sadly I have put the whole lot back on since then basically because I couldn’t move much and I ate like a mad demon due to stress. I don’t believe my hunger came back any worse but I am reflecting on the quite challenging side effects I endured with MJ but I am very deeply depressed about my weight and shape now and I am remembering how high as a kite I was this time last year with my new body - so looking forward to starting again. I do worry (anecdotes from another thread) that restarting isnt as impactful - but I might do Slimming World at the same time. Hope you have all found your journey to goal and or maintainance easy.

SunnySpellsAhead · 29/07/2026 13:42

Good luck Trinko & Rhaenys with the reset and restart, and everyone else still on this journey.

I haven't checked in lately because frankly, it feels like I'm not dieting at the moment. My body has decided it wants to take the summer off I think!

Came across this when googling:
"The 72-Week Plateau: On average, patients on tirzepatide hit a definitive weight plateau by week 72 (around 16.5 months)." So, for those of us still continuing, this is us now.

I've only lost a pound overall since June possibly, weight is bouncing up and down by 3lb or so, but have to say I'm feeling pretty relaxed about it all, and actually, if this is maintenance it's giving me a bit of hope that I might manage it. Mostly eating pretty well BUT with added treats which I need to knock on the head. I'm still BMI 26.2 but it feels healthy. No matter, I would still like a reset of my own to get to 'normal' weight so I've just increased slightly to kick start it 🤞

Be great to hear how everyone else is getting on.

RhaenysRocks · 29/07/2026 15:39

I hopefully will get my new 2.5 pen by the end of this week so looking forward to restarting. About 7lb has crept back on since I stopped which is a bit worrying but maybe by the time I reach goal the tablet forms will be well embedded and there will be some good anecdotal evidence for ongoing maintenance.

Squiffy01 · 05/08/2026 21:48

@SunnySpellsAhead that is very interesting to read as I have not lost anything for months. Gain a little and lose that on repeat for what feels like ages now.

Musermum · 06/08/2026 09:02

I'm the same. BMI now 28.2 (much better than 42!!), and I only weigh about every 6 weeks now and there's usually 1 or 2 pounds off but I do feel a wee bit stuck. I'm learning to respond to hunger cues though which is helpful. I now order the 15 and take 7.5 over 2 months. I was on 10 for a good few months and felt hungry so counterintuitively I dropped. It seems to be working better. Nice to hear updates from everyone... It's been a journey!!

RhaenysRocks · 06/08/2026 09:31

Restarted 2.5 on Saturday and instantly felt better. Have dropped 4lb that i put on in the previous month. I do worry that it shows I need to stay on it but will definitely investigate the cheaper pill option once I've hopefully shifted another 2 st. Ought to be 3 really as I'm short but I havent been 9st anything since my early 20s and I'm 50 now so would be happy with low 10s. Glad it seems to have kicked back.in though.

Trinko · 28/08/2026 07:09

I’ve finally restarted as well. Didn’t have any feelings after the first jab but after the 2nd one this week the physical suppression and mental indifference is definitely back - so I am delighted. Down a Kg. Hope to be back to ‘skinny’ as soon as - which was a lovely mental feeling. I was still BMI 27 at my lightest last year - but that was a size 10 and I looked healthy and glowing and had decided that was good enough for me as I didn’t want my face to collapse at the age of 58. Planning to maybe keep on 2.5 this time - rushed up thru the doses each month last time as I was impatient for fat loss and assumed higher dose would get me there quicker. I had lots of horrible side effects which I tolerated unnecessarily because I kept upping the doses - so hopefully this time will be better.

WinterOnItsWayOut · 28/08/2026 10:40

@RhaenysRocksand @Trinkogood luck with the restart - I was on 2.5 all the way through last time. I stopped in March (1.5 for last 4 weeks) and maintained pretty well until July. However have put on 9lbs and need to curb it!

I have ordered some Wegovy and sent pics - I am just in healthy BMI so we’ll see what happens. I’m hoping that as I have previously been on MJ that they will accept it 🤞

Uninvitedleaf · 28/08/2026 13:34

Hi everyone! I’m still plodding on - I want to lose another 10lb or so before titrating down as that would get me to BMI 25 but I don’t really care how long that takes. However I’ve lost next to nothing for the last 4-6 weeks on 7.5mg so I decided last weekend that it’s ridiculous to be taking that much and not losing, I either need to give in and go to 10mg or decide this will do me and start weaning myself off. So went to 10mg last Sunday to see how that goes. If anything I’ve been hungrier this week which is weird.

Uninvitedleaf I bet it will take a bit of time for your body to catch on!
I’m taking 4-5mg a week because I’m marathon training, running 20+ miles a week and eating everything in sight! It’s keeping my appetite under control and helping with muscle soreness.
Good to hear from you, hopefully everyone else is doing well too
