Well done everyone for KOKO and the increasing exercise. I agree @Pepperwaggytailabout running being easier and I’m enjoying the odd sporadic 5k run now and then. 50k is v impressive 😮 . I won’t be doing this as my knees are a bit dodgy but good luck!

In case anyone is wondering how post MJ is working out - I’ve been off it for 6 weeks (unsure how much might still be in my system 🤷‍♀️) and have managed to maintain at 9.12/13 despite 2 holidays where, whilst I didn’t go mad food wise, there was def more of it + more alcohol so I’m pleased with that.

i do intermittent fasting (eat between 11am and 7pm) and pretty low carb naturally plus 10-15k steps a day and this seems to be working for now. Long may it continue 🤞🤞

I do have to force myself to remember the 💦 which I think is v important to continue.

@Pepperwaggytail I’m thinking about doing an ultra too!!!! I’ve got a marathon in September and then thinking about stepping up to a 50k trail race in early November. Apparently ultras are much nicer because everyone takes walking breaks and it’s all about the snacks!! Mine is actually net downhill though - yours sounds amazing.

It’s now been 9 days since my last 1.25mg jab and I’m not feeling like I want to jab again. I might wait until Sunday which would be two weeks or I might just not jab and see what happens. My weight is up 2lb but I think that’s a hangover from my 20 miler on Sunday - I’m not feeling crazy hunger and food was normal yesterday… I think I’m just going to see what happens. I’m getting a bit of ick around jabbing now - it’s hard to explain but just a bit of an aversion to doing it. I’ve still got pens in the fridge so we’ll see…

Happy one year Anniversary everyone!
Gosh I’d forgotten that it had been that long, just feels like a part of life now to not eat a share bag of chocolate to myself 3 x a week! but just shows how far we’ve come! Well done to all ❤️

@Pepperwaggytail that’s amazing! I tried c25k in 2025 but had to give up because of pain in my heel but actually I think I was just too heavy for my frame so you’ve inspired me to take it up again!

Pepperwaggytail · 21/04/2026 22:04

I love that ultras are all about snacks and the walking sections! 😂 I need to remind myself that I last ran properly 17 years ago 😳 I might be lighter but these legs are a little older and I’ve been stiff and sore since Sunday. My appetite has also increased..

I need to get some kind of training plan and not scare myself!

xx

Happy Mounjaversary everyone, great to hear all the updates. @Trinko sorry to hear you've been so unwell, sending my best wishes to you.

Here's my update: one year ago I was 17st 5lb and today I am 13st 12lb. So I've lost 3 and a half stone, which is around 20 per cent of my body weight. I look and feel like a different person and am now a size 14 or 16, down from a rather tight size 20.

I'm 5'10 so very tall, and I'm aiming to get down to 12st, maybe a bit lower depending on how I feel. I don't mind how long it takes; I know I'll get there eventually. I'm currently on 10mg and it's working well.

I've had a really daft but very pleasing NSV today: it's a lovely sunny day and I'm wearing a cotton dress. Previously I'd have worn bicycle shorts under it to stop my thighs chafing. Today I discovered that I have no need of the anti-chafing shorts because my thighs don't touch! I actually have a thigh gap, woo-hoo!

McGingerNut · 22/04/2026 22:35

Congratulations @SusanSometimes that's a fabulous result in a year. I share your delight in not having to wear anti-chafing shorts, enjoy!

Vipingviper · 23/04/2026 06:36

@McGingerNut @SusanSometimes let’s be honest no chafing during the summer months is the ultimate goal isn’t it! So proud of you both! Well done

Vipingviper · 23/04/2026 06:38

Sorry that sounded so condescending, but honestly I read your messages and had a genuine smile! I know the chafing too well and had actually stopped buying dresses to wear out in the summer because of it

SusanSometimes · 23/04/2026 10:19

@Vipingviper you didn't sound condescending at all, don't worry!

McGingerNut · 23/04/2026 17:12

Totally agree. Grin

Pepperwaggytail · 25/04/2026 06:52

I’m also enjoying no chaffing this year! 😎

SaddlebagSal · 25/04/2026 14:27

Sadly I’ve always been generously proportioned in the thigh and bum department. My thighs have touched ever since puberty, I’m obviously just shaped that way. Even as a slimmer student my jeans wore out at the seams at the tops of my legs before the knees or anywhere else.

with that and the fact I’m thinner but flabby now, I won’t be dispensing with the anti chafing shorts any time soon (or at all). And shorts still ride up to my crotch when I walk. Is annoying but I have a selection of skorts I wear in summer that do instead. And “chub rub” underwear wasn’t a thing when I was younger so I’m grateful for that choice now.

SunnySpellsAhead · 26/04/2026 11:05

Nice to read the updates, well done to us all, and to the slow burners just keep on, we'll get there eventually.

My rate has slowed right down now to 0.8lb wk avg, although only lost 0.4lb in the last fortnight. I've been losing focus and eating a few hundred more calories than I should (I still track and weigh daily though) but kind of ok with it. I'm only a stone away from being 'normal' weight now at 10st 9lb and feeling pretty healthy.

Also, went a bit mad on Vinted and didn't check sizes properly so all sorts have been arriving from a size 6 to a 12, yet they all fit (some a bit too snugly) which is crazy but has been a real boost. The flesh is a bit less super soft and doughy than when I was losing faster, wrinkly in places but I'll worry about that in a year's time if it's still about. Just plan to keep on with things for now with a bit more effort for the summer holidays ahead. The first year of going abroad with a skinny slimmer, healthy body, it's quite exciting. And yes, I'll still be taking the chub rub shorts, just in case!

O.M.G.
Two amazing NSV's happened this evening. I just want to share. I hope it's ok to do so here.
DH and I were in our local pub earlier this evening.
We are fairly rural and a mum and young daughter arrived on their horses.

I asked if I could say hello to the horses and the mum asked if I rode. I said no, but I had loved riding about 50 years ago! She asked if I wanted to ride on the daughters horse as she wanted the horse to get used to being ridden by an adult rather than just children (not sure what difference that makes) AND THEN SHE SAID……. she is looking for a petite small built adult to ride the horse regularly, and that I was certainly slim and petite!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly, I nearly burst!!
Anyway - I rode the horse round the car park and she asked for my number to ride the horse again!
I still can't believe how she described me!!! small, and petite!!!

She definitely wouldn't have let me ride the horse if I still weighed 15 stone!!
I'm so happy!

Im so chuffed for you! Enjoy the moment! It just goes to show how differently other people see us!

I still get few hunger langs bug I do t have that active aversion I had early on. Still need to drop 2-3 stone ideallyso vaguely wondering about having a break, save the money then restart to get that boost. BMI is hovering at 30 so.id be ok access wise. Any thoughts?

I’d look at your exercise, stay on the meds if possible and try to increase your metabolism, also make sure you are eating enough food.
I found that I dropped down to 2.5mg for a couple of months, didn’t lose, but didn’t gain either! And then went up 3.5 and lost again.

Walking is great for weight loss, you could also consider fasting for part of each day. Also eating as clean as possible - nothing ultra processed and/or produced in a factory (if you have time to make food from scratch).

I’d say start with clean eating and walking and give it three months, if you’ve not lost during that time then increase your dose slightly.

I feel for you, it’s tough, but your body might be at a set point and needs to get used to being there. Good luck x

I’ve been listening to a Zoe podcast about GLP1s. I’ve not heard all of it, but wanted to share it while I remember!

Happy Sunday lovelies!

Hi all good to see so many of us still keeping going - although sorry that your stall is still persisting @RhaenysRocks. It is frustrating. I’m down a whole 0.5lb this week so hoping this might be the start of getting past mine and shifting at least some of my last stone.

I listened to something recently that talked about how once you get down to 20-25% loss your body really starts seriously fighting it and can slow your metabolism down a lot (more than just the reduced TDEE would predict). There was a suggestion to take a “diet break” for a couple of weeks to reset it so I’ve been doing a bit more eating what I fancy rather than counting everything religiously. I’m not sure the large ice cream I had yesterday afternoon was quite what they had in mind but I enjoyed it and no guilt! I’m also remembering that 24% loss (which I think is about where I am) is unbelievably impressive so even if this ends up being as far as I get it is still incredible.

Love your NSV @blanketsnuggler! My guilty secret is that I love being able to fit into the centre seats on the local public transport here as they are notoriously narrow and uncomfortable, but not if you’re tiny like what I obviously am now. I’d never admit that to anyone in real life 🤣.

How are you getting on @Trinko? Been thinking about you and your restart.

Thanks @Uninvitedleaf . I am trying to get a bit more active now the weather has perked up..first sea swim this year done so hopefully that will get things moving. Having a generally healthy eating push in the house as DS needs it so thinking about it a bit more too. Im not bored of it but was really hoping to be 10 something by now and im still stuck at 11.9

Uninvitedleaf · 04/05/2026 15:25

I’d really really like to see a 9 on the scales - but stuck firmly in 10st something for now. I’m doing a lot more in the garden and I finish work (taking early retirement) in about a month so I am telling myself that will give me more time for the gym. I’m fairly sure I’ll find some other excuses not to go when it gets to it though - I really am not one of the world’s natural exercise junkies. I’m in awe of you all with your swimming and your ultra running!

Morning all. Still no loss on the scales but couple of NSVs..bought walking.g trousers at the weekend in a 14 and they're great. Always before the pockets gaped horribly and if they fit round my middle they were far too big everywhere else. Climbed an entry level Wainwright including g a scramble up a bit. Also had a photo from a similar walk two years ago and can really really see tje difference. Whilst my plateau is frustrating, im.still miles on from where I was. Hope everyone else is headed into summer feeling good.

PhantomErik · 13/05/2026 17:03

Hi I’m still here & still slowly making progress.

SW 16.6
CW 12.4

It’s very slow going but I think my body shape has changed recently as clothes are fitting differently. Jeans are baggy around the thighs & bum & bras are feeling a bit big. Also my collar bones are visible which makes up for the slightly saggy neck - can’t have it all I suppose 😁

wherearetheturrets · 23/05/2026 06:17

Been quite some time since I last posted, and I can see the threads gotten quiet.

I think I stopped checking in because I felt some shame maybe? I started to lower my dose a few months back. I was on 12.5 at my highest and reached my 10 stone goal. I think I then did 2 months of 10 and I’ve just finished a month of 7.5. I’ve got 1 7.5 pen and 1 5 pen in my fridge. But since I started lowering my dose my food noise has just come right back and I have very little willpower or whatever it is that causes me to have this compulsion and feel like I can’t/don’t want to fight it. I’ve regained almost a stone and I just feel so disappointed in myself. I’d try going back up doses but I was coming off because we can’t afford it anymore so that’s just not an option. I’ve just never known how to do this, I’ve never known how to stop myself bingeing and then mounjaro just made it happen and it wasn’t hard and I wasn’t consumed with the thoughts and the shame and it was so wonderful and now it’s gone. I’m pretty sure it’s just straight up dopamine seeking for me (I strongly believe I have undiagnosed adhd due to this and many other signs), but I try to incorporate other dopamine boosting activities and it doesn’t make it stop.

Ugh, I’m not too sure what I’m hoping to get from posting, I just wanted to get my thoughts out and in a place where people will understand my feelings. I hope everybody is happy and doing well and enjoying this lovely weather we’re having.
