Roll up, roll up (if you can, you skinny Minnie’s!) to all the brave WL warriors still battling on and hanging on in there.

8 months in … welcome to thread 8! 🥰

This thread I pledge:
to do two exercise sessions per week.
(There I’ve said it. Better do it now, hadn’t I).

Goal:
Find an amazing dress to wear for an awards ceremony I am going to in November.

Anyone else got any particular targets?

Big love to you all x

I am terrified of coming off MJ. I’ve been on 10mg for a few months, and still have 4 more 10mg in the fridge as well as a 5 and a 7.5.

if like to lose another stone, and then start to taper, but I have no idea what that looks like. I’m frightened of feeling starving all the time. Has my stomach not shrunk?

I have another 10mg pen being delivered in Dec. I won’t be able to buy another one if I don’t reorder probably end of Jan… this one is coming from Oushk…

WoolerOwl · 18/11/2025 20:49

I'm scared of coming off it too, if that helps. Next week will be my last dose of 5mg. And then I will either do another 5mg pen and try to stretch it out a bit longer, or go down to 2.5mg. I only have about 1kg left to lose. But the freedom of MJ has been brilliant. I can feel a bit of the hunger coming back, but I do have the discipline to not eat too much, at least at the moment! I just can't imagine what it will feel like to actually go it alone.

CoolLimeSheep · 18/11/2025 23:53

Im scared too, hence why am going down mg pen each month and ive been on injections 16 months, i do feel my stomach has shrank inside guess were all a little scared of going back but we've all made awesome changes so I think we will all be fine 🙂

SpiralSister · 19/11/2025 11:41

I don’t think I can come off, at least for now. It’s been more than 30 years of fat and that’s a lot of adjusting for my tired old body to do. I’ve gone down to 5mg now, and am letting myself have a few more treats here and there (a genuine Portuguese custard tart from a specialist bakery the other day - incredible!)

I am maintaining at around 10.4 - 10.7, depending on when I weigh. Feels comfortable for now. The cost is stinging a lot more than the needle, let me tell you!😂

Massive respect to those warriors going or about to go solo. Please keep sharing 💐

MrsHero · 19/11/2025 21:38

I'm so scared to come off... my sweet tooth hasn't subsided enough yet, even if my waistline has!

CoolLimeSheep · 20/11/2025 00:48

In all honesty i still have my crisps never will give them up have all way through! Spoke to gym instructor for advice on maintaining as i really dont want lose anymore have my excess on belly which defo wont go down but happy with it and now got a little excess top of thighs inside which I feel a little insecure about so dont want lose anymore. She said I had to maintain 2000 calories which right now I couldnt imagine at all as I know I dont consume that at all. I do know our brain is worst enemy. You cant give up everything or the cravings will kick in and I guess even tho we've put so much work in we dont really beleive in ourselves at time

usedtobeaylis · 20/11/2025 09:11

I've weighed myself every day this week and I have been 12st 3lb each and every time, no fluctuations. That's just mad! I think that's been nearly four weeks I've stayed that weight but I've never not had fluctuations before. I've checked the scales and they seem to be working fine!

I was so depressed about my parenting I just ate five of those mini iced fruit cake bars in 24 hours.

sweetpickle2 · 20/11/2025 14:33

Hello all!

I had my 40th party at the weekend and it was a blast, and amazingly I loved every single one of the photos! I never thought I'd get here, honestly.

I am now going on holiday to continue the celebrations, so I still haven't jabbed and won't again till I'm back as I just want to relax and enjoy myself. I am already eating more but I don't want to be worrying about side effects etc while I'm celebrating

So inspired by everyone else!

Mariocatgran · 20/11/2025 14:49

Mariocatgran · 20/11/2025 18:35

SpiralSister · 20/11/2025 19:21

Right ho.

SpiralSister · 20/11/2025 19:25

In other, less mad news, my mum died today. I’m completely ok. I do notice I have no desire to stuff my face or neck the wine though, which I definitely would have done pre-MJ.

Might have a Talisker nightcap mind you!

Mounjaronewbie25 · 20/11/2025 20:02

I’m so sorry for your loss @SpiralSister 💐

WoolerOwl · 20/11/2025 23:43

So sorry, @SpiralSister . Hope you’re ok. 🙏🏻

PerditionCatchMySoul · 21/11/2025 07:19

Oh @SpiralSister 🥲 I’m so sorry

I just wanted to say how ridiculous the scales are. I weighed myself as I got up this morning, after I’d had a week, naked: 12 st 8.5
then I had a cup of tea and weighted myself again 30 mins later, naked 12 st 12
then, I had another wee and got dressed in my gym clothes and weighed myself again: 12 st 13 !!

scales in the same place on the floor, what on Earth is the logic there? That just shows doesn’t it, a fluctuation of nearly 5 lbs over the course of 1 hour….

SpiralSister · 21/11/2025 07:19

I am, thank you @WoolerOwl. I feel very heavy at the thought of the admin though.

It was a complicated relationship. But very glad she had a peaceful passing, at home. And a very long life - she was an extremely feisty bird!

sweetpickle2 · 21/11/2025 08:38

Sorry for your loss @SpiralSister - I know what its like to lose someone when you have a complicated relationship, the grief isn't as straightforward somehow but it is still there! Hope you've got lots of support around you.

WoolerOwl · 21/11/2025 09:58

I understand complicated, @SpiralSister . Commiserations, as well as condolences, in that case.

In other news, I am 0.1kg away from goal.

viktoria · 21/11/2025 17:39

For everybody scared to come off Mounjaro... I've done it.

I last jabbed 4 weeks ago and I had been on 10mg

I was close to GW (wanted to get just under 70kg) and am now hovering between 68.8 and 70.5 kg (I weigh at least three times a week)
I haven't experienced a massive change in appetite. Still have smaller portions, I must have got used to eating more salads and vegetables and I continue to do so and make sure I have enough protein and fibre. I continue to drink a lot of water
My big downfall and definite addiction was chocolate. I do eat a tiny bit of that (and def feel like wanting to eat it now) but don't want it nowhere near as before.

Good luck everybody.
