Bit premature but planning on starting with Mounjaro in next week or so.

I’ve struggled with my weight for the majority of my life and despite having periods of being within the realms of ‘healthy’ weights, these have been difficult to get to and v hard to maintain. I’m now keen to sort things out, once and for all before I’m 40. (Given myself a buffer as currently 36…) 😅

SW: 14st 7lb
1st GW: 13st

Here for support, tips and anything else helpful along the way. 🫣

It is a new supplier as cheaper. I was puzzled by needing to see the previous box, it took about 10 photos to satisfy them.

I’m guess they want to know what amount you were already on… so for example you’re not jumping from a 2.5 - 10mg - seems sensible.

Amazing reading all these wonderful losses 👏
Week 6 completed for me and I am 15.5lbs lighter. I maintained in week 5 but hoping to lose another stone by Christmas 🙏

Brilliant- well done 👏

That makes sense - unfortunately sometimes it just doesn't give the strong suppression to everyone. I hope the 5 dose helps.

This week for me has been a huge win - despite not losing anything (day 1 of my period and having got back from a trip away yesterday) my BMI is now under 30 so I qualify for IVF funding 🙌🏼 going to do another month to keep getting the weight down and hopefully help the chances of success, and then take December off, ready to start IVF in Jan!

Oh that’s lovely news @Moosey898- good luck! 💛

I'm so pleased!
SW 14.10
CW 13.8
GW 11 (might keep going - will see how I feel. Healthy weight is 9.6 I think)

Really hoping to be 12 something by Christmas!

3 weeks in and I’ve lost 8.5lbs. Over the moon is an understatement! I’ve got 3 stone in total to lose (2.5 now!) so I’m very happy with that start.

Slow and steady wins the race 😊

Well done @VioletandMauveand @MrsMaudwatts 🎉🙌

PfizerFan · 10/11/2025 09:04

Hows everyone doing?
I've lost a stone in 5 weeks, hurrah!

Went up to 3.75mg yesterday morning and felt so full by the evening I could barely eat dinner!

cheekysausage123 · 10/11/2025 09:45

Fab work both! @VioletandMauve@MrsMaudwatts

3rd dose of 5mg here as of yesterday, lots of suppression today but still had a protein yogurt as don’t fancy the gym without eating anything.

Reading about how we are losing weight and gaining health is a brilliant way to start the week. Wishing everyone more success this week and weeks ahead x

Agreed @jaelato1 it’s a real investment in our future selves!

Weigh day after 5 weeks in.
SW 129.3 kg
CW 117.3 kg
TW 100 kg
Lost another 2kg this week woohoo!
This is going all too well! I ordered a 5mg pen but might short dose as I've had no side effects at all on 2.5mg and have lost 12kg in 5 weeks so don't want to mess things up by going onto a higher dose too soon.

Calyx72 · 10/11/2025 14:18

I am plateaued again, back at 166lbs, I am weighing and counting calories staying at 1200 or under. On 2.5mg and having good suppression, not feeling hungry. I am not exercising and I think that must be why I am not losing 😆. I work full time and am am doing an MSc as well and I don’t have the will to do weights or the time to do steps argh Confused

jaelato1 · 10/11/2025 16:09

@Meandmypooch Fantastic, well done!

@Calyx72 I dont think it's because of not doing exercise, when i plateaued in week 5, it was because I consumed foods that were high in carbs even though I ate 1000 -1200 kcal daily. If you you think you ate clean then i'll say maybe include intermittent fasting to your daily routine to break the plateau.

WegoGirl · 10/11/2025 18:57

Exercise makes a massive difference for me. My Fitbit estimates calories burnt each day and if I go for a long walk at the weekend it has me burning double the calories for a lazy day sat at a desk. I can’t fit a long walk in everyday but can once a week and some smaller bursts in between. It makes it so much easier to diet if you have a few extra hundred calories each day.

How long is a long walk?

WegoGirl · 10/11/2025 19:17

Long for me is about 10 miles!

jaelato1 · 10/11/2025 19:32

@WegoGirlI also walk a minimum of 7miles 6 days a week and I don't add the calories burnt to my daily 1000-1200 kcal and I still plateaued.
I guess it differs from person to person but as they say weight loss is 80-90% dependent on what and how much we eat.

narcASD · 10/11/2025 20:03

@Calyx72 sometimes I find that having an odd day where you go over your calories can kick start your metabolism, how much weight do you have to lose?
have you measured yourself? It’s not always scale victories, keep going it will come off.

Thanks everyone. I’ve got about 2 stone to lose. I am only 5’2” and the TDEE minus 500 cals is 1100 calories but I don’t think it’s sensible to go under 1200 so I am happy to lose slower because I am only 400 calories under my TDEE daily.

I do find my work tunic less constricting and my wedding ring is looser 😁

narcASD · 10/11/2025 21:07

That’s great @Calyx72I’ve not been able to wear my wedding ring for years due to fat fingers!
Youve not got a huge amount to lose so it may take a bit longer, maybe up your protein & fibre too.

feeling a bit sick today, not had a big appetite since I started taking 5mg with a top up, which I’ve not needed to do again so far.

Breakfast was cereal & chai seed water (like drinking frogs spawn), I couldn’t face another bowl of yogurt!
Lunch a protein bar, few nuts and 2 apples
Dinner lentil & butternut squash soup with sourdough.
I still have one can of full sugar coke a day, used to be 3-4, I don’t drink so it’s hard to stop it!

Clumsykitten · 10/11/2025 21:38

I’m really impressed with all the stories on this, and I have realised I feel a bit weird about writing a target weight… I haven’t been BMI under 25 for such a long time, it’s hard to imagine getting there.

StrongLikeMamma · 11/11/2025 07:24

@narcASDreally looking forward to being able to wear my wedding/engagement rings too! ☺️

Jabbed last night and for the third time after jabbing I has a really disturbing nightmare. Anyone else getting this?

Elizabeth49 · 11/11/2025 08:54

Good morning. I hit my 1 stone loss this morning after 6 weeks of jabbing. Only another 3 to go.

What pharmacies are you all using to get your jabs and what support does your pharmacy offer (if any). I have been using Curate who are cheap but there is no online support. I have heard Junipet offer online support

Congratulations!!🥳🙌

I’ve just been buying from the cheapest, registered pharmacies not looked for support so far. Have used IQ Dr and Bolt.
