Bit premature but planning on starting with Mounjaro in next week or so.

I’ve struggled with my weight for the majority of my life and despite having periods of being within the realms of ‘healthy’ weights, these have been difficult to get to and v hard to maintain. I’m now keen to sort things out, once and for all before I’m 40. (Given myself a buffer as currently 36…) 😅

It’s horrible isn’t it @cheekysausage123I hope you are feeling much better very soon. I just had 2 paracetamol 4 times a day and took electrolytes (Phizz) in my water. Didn’t worry about trying to eat until the nausea went away. Had a banana every day. Sending best wishes x

Elliebearblues · 19/10/2025 14:19

Day3 of still feeling ropey. Still have a bit of Diarrhoea but not as bad as the last 2 days, been sticking to toast and I managed to have some oven chips and a piece of bread and butter last night . I’ve had a piece of toast so far today can’t really face much, I have had a hydration sachet in my water though. I’m just not sure what to eat. Any help would be great thanks x

Just taken my first dose. Excited and scared at the same time! I have 3 weight tracker apps on the go 😂

Oooh what apps are you using?

I’m using GlucoPal, Shotsy and DoseDiary. Just trialling them all for a week, I think Shotsy is my favourite.

So today is day 2 and last night I had really strong heart palpitations from about 11pm which woke me up. Bit scary really. Funnily enough I went back to sleep but kept waking occasionally with them. I’ve still got them slightly this morning.

Other than that, the food suppression kicked in quite quickly and apart from that and some indigestion I’ve been ok.

But the heart palpitations have worried me a bit - has anyone else had them?

Moosey898 · 20/10/2025 07:59

Weighed in today and absolutely thrilled to be 4.4lbs down (2kg). Granted I was coming off my period so it's likely a lb or so higher than it would otherwise be but a great start! On to week 2. 3 more kgs to go until my first mini goal!

Clumsykitten · 20/10/2025 08:21

I had a big meal yesterday and still feel full this morning. Really sick feeling last night. Is that normal on mounjaro?

DakotaFanny · 20/10/2025 10:20

First week loss was 1.6kg which I’m chuffed to bits with- especially considering I had no obvious signs that it was working… I did do loads of exercise last week and was definitely more mindful of what I was eating so thank you Mounjaro!!

Yes I had them I had them about 2 weeks after the first jabs, really scary and I felt sick and dizzy with them, I actually did a separate post on them as I wanted to know if it had happened to anyone else and it had. I also went to the GP who didn’t know what was causing it - bloody useless but did say not to worry they didn’t think it was heart related but sent me for a ECG to rule anything else. Thankfully they’ve calmed down now after a few weeks and I think as I know it’s a side effect I’m not as anxious about it happening

Yes totally nornal as the food will sit in your stomach for longer making you feel full and queasy sometimes

I have felt like that after eating a larger meal. I’m probably eating what would be considered a small/normal portion now.

Ah that’s good to know that it’s a side effect, I’m going to see if it happens regularly, as in every evening or only after I take the jab, as this happened on the first night.

I thought it was just me as I hadn’t read anything about palpitations so thank you for the reply!

No problem at all, it can be so scary and I was really worried as it had never happened to me before. Definitely keep an eye on it and maybe see if there’s a pattern .. have a look through the threads for the anxiety one that may help put your mind at rest

When is everyone ordering their next months worth? I'm due to have my 3rd jab this Thursday so I'm assuming that would be the ideal time to order.

Yes I’d order now to make sure you receive it in time. If you need a referral code pm me xx

I ordered my next dose just after my 3rd jab. I am with Curate and they take 48 hrs to approve and another 48hrs to dispatch so overall 5 working days from order to arrival.

Clumsykitten · 20/10/2025 21:25

How does the next order thing work? Do people shop around each time they put in an order or to make use of the referral code?

jaelato1 · 20/10/2025 22:12

@Clumsykitten I stick to same pharmacy on prescription basis...can't be arsed filling out consultation forms every time. Some people do that to get best offer but i think that works for people on the lower dose.

IlovePostitnotes · 20/10/2025 22:35

I'll be ordering my next prescription on Friday (dose 3). Are people going up to 5mg or sticking at 2.5mg?

I’m really wondering about this too. I’ve read a lot of stuff/ seen videos of people saying they stuck to 2.5 because they were losing and wanted to do it as ‘naturally’ as possible (didn’t want to quieten food noise totally etc). But I’ve also seen lots of the opposite- get it off as quickly as possible from a financial point of view etc.

I really don’t know! I’ve still got very few signs that I’m taking Manjouro- maybe a tiny bit quicker to say I’ve had enough to eat? - so in some ways I’m keen to get to 5mg. But equally, if I have another good loss at the end of week 2 I might stay where I am for now because I feel it will be easier to maintain afterwards if I haven’t taken much???

Very interested in other people’s opinions here.

jaelato1 · 21/10/2025 07:31

I dont think I want to move to 5mg unless the lower dose (2.5, 3 and 3.75mg) stopped working because as @DakotaFanny said, I think it's easier to maintain on lower dose

narcASD · 21/10/2025 07:33

Morning all, yesterday I had a biscuit binge! First time I’ve overeaten since I started taking jab. I’ve lost 1st 2lbs so far, this is my 4th week, my 5mg jab is due to arrive Thursday in time for Saturday, @DakotaFanny I’m moving up as I haven’t had any side effects and want to get to 13st by Christmas, if 5 works then I may stay on that dose for an extra month. My initial plan was to use it for 3-4 months while I reset my thinking and habits around food. I can’t really afford to stay on it longer but the money I’ve saved in takeaways & junk food has paid for the jab.

I really need to work on nighttime eating / mini binges for sweet foods. I wasn’t really hungry but ate 7 cookies at midnight!

Starting weight 15st 6lb
current weight. 14st 4

jaelato1 · 21/10/2025 09:13

@narcASD I have found washing my teeth and going to bed early helps with binging, i was also a late night binger but not any more.

Good question! I have just ordered my next jab and have stuck with 2.5 mounjara. I have been losing 2 to 4lbs per week with minimal side effects so I am happy to stick with whats working.

Elizabeth49 · 21/10/2025 09:27

Week 3 update:
This week I lost -3lbs.
This brings my total loss over 3 weeks to -9lbs.
I have decided to stick with 2.5mg for next month.
