Bit premature but planning on starting with Mounjaro in next week or so.

I’ve struggled with my weight for the majority of my life and despite having periods of being within the realms of ‘healthy’ weights, these have been difficult to get to and v hard to maintain. I’m now keen to sort things out, once and for all before I’m 40. (Given myself a buffer as currently 36…) 😅

Well my first Mounjaro pen arrived today, but I’m holding off using it until Sunday as I’ve got a clear day then, although I am tempted to use it beforehand! Loving reading everyone’s success stories, am hoping to be one of them soon!

If mine arrives in time I’m thinking I’ll start on Monday.

Aaah just got a call to say my first dose is on the way! It had been delayed because they had emailed me to ask for photo ID and i’d missed it.
All sorted now. Should have it in the next couple of days.
Am feeling excited ☺️

so exciting x

Hello everyone,
Nice to see you all finding some success in October. I did my first injection on Saturday evening. I haven’t really had any side effects, which is great. This is the first day I have felt a little nauseous, possibly after going out for a meal yesterday evening.
I snuck on the scales today, and seem to have lost a couple of pounds. 🙌
This has been an absolute revelation. Willpower seems to have finally made an appearance.

That’s great to hear, fingers crossed you don’t suffer many side affects.

Into the third week and lost another 5lbs! I know I need to up the calories to slow down the rate I'm losing at. Still no side effects, in fact apart from a cold I feel the best I've felt in years. It really is a miracle drug.

That’s fab to hear.

Sorry to hear you’re feeling so awful Elliebearblues. Look after yourself.

No symptoms of anything for me- no suppression, hungry as normal, no signs of any loss but thankfully also no illness. Quite looking forward to jab number 2….a little suppression or satiety would be nice!

Thanks hopefully it’ll pass soon, I look forward to my jabs too strangely enough.

narcASD · 17/10/2025 19:15

get well soon ladies, @Moosey898thats interesting that you say your not calorie counting, mentally I think it would stop me obsessing! I am a walking calorie tracker anyway but I worry ill not trust myself and eat too much, if that makes sense?

@IlovePostitnotesit sounds like you have a lot on at the moment so just focus on eating as healthy as possible and looking after yourself, the weight will come off, you probably have a load of cortisol in your body from stress

narcASD · 17/10/2025 19:16

Thought I’d post my virtuous dinner 🤪

Urgh, coming to the end of week 2 and the last couple of days have been a struggle. Back to feeling hungry, desperate to snack, smaller meals no longer filling me up. Will probably have to go up to 5mg soon... scared of side effects :(

whensmynexthol1day · 18/10/2025 08:15

First week done and lost 2.5kg since first injection but 3.5kg since weight verification (had another versions of suppression from a horrible cold before I started!) so pretty pleased with that. Nearly all seems to have come of my face which is partly good as I have my jawline back after looking pretty puffy and bloated but also not so good in that the dark circles under my eyes have been horrific! Might have to get the make up out a bit more…

have had a horrific week work wise which has contributed to some insomnia which no doubt has made the eyes worse. And has been a bit hard to unpick whether my super wired jittery feeling that I’ve had since Tuesday is the stress or hunger. The good thing is though that whilst my brain seems to have been saying I’m hungry I haven’t walked to the pantry once to think about what I’m going to eat. A week like that would normally have sent me straight to the wine too but haven’t even contemplated it. So all of that is a win I hope! Things will calm down from Wednesday next week so hopefully I’ll have a good run of understanding whether 2.5mg is providing enough suppression or whether I need to move up to 5

Rubiscoisfantastic · 18/10/2025 11:33

At the end of my first week and 5lbs down. Just incredible. I have never lost that amount in my life. I was able to eat like a normal person and not think about food - just so delighted!

DakotaFanny · 18/10/2025 13:30

Well done both of you!!

Could you maybe go to 3.75? No it’s not a full 5mg dose straight away? like you I was worried about side effects going up to 5mg so went to 3.75mg. This weekend has been awful for me feeling so unwell, not sure if its a bug or the jab.

Was thinking of doing that! Sorry youre feeling so unwell. Was that right after 3.75mg?

I did the jab Monday as usual and since yesterday I had diarrhoea and sickness. I’m debating whether to go back down Monday

Argh, hope you're feeling better soon :(

Moosey898 · 18/10/2025 22:26

I'm trying not to weigh in until Monday morning so it's been a full week but I am struggling to hold out! I feel like I've eaten a fair amount less so hopefully the scales will reflect that....

VioletandMauve · 19/10/2025 08:15

Just taken my first dose. Excited and scared at the same time! I have 3 weight tracker apps on the go 😂

FlibbertyGibbitt · 19/10/2025 09:52

I’m on day 4 now. I cannot believe how I’m not tempted to pick at all the biscuits etc in the cupboard! Taking lots of vitamins , collagen , pumpkin oil etc

Well done everyone , enjoy your Sunday 🥳

jaelato1 · 19/10/2025 10:55

3rd week and 2.5lb loss. I'll take it 😁

@VioletandMauvehope it all goes well for you

Calyx72 · 19/10/2025 12:42

Hi all welcome new starters!
I was debating whether to do jab 4 today or wait a week because I have had nausea due to Covid this past week. My nausea has settled mostly so I jabbed with my husband this morning. My covid symptoms (latterly mainly the nausea, sinus pain and headache) feel quite a lot better this morning thank heaven.

I have lost 7lb in my first 3 weeks to date.

cheekysausage123 · 19/10/2025 13:55

Sorry been AWOL and not replying much, due my 4th injection today but have got the cold from hell, Covid test is negative but feel ropey, not sure whether to go ahead with my jab or not, might wait until tomorrow.

Good luck @VioletandMauve and well done @jaelato1@FlibbertyGibbitt

Hope you feel well soon @cheekysausage123.
How are you getting on? What will you do after your 4th dose? Will you go up or stay on the same dose?
I’ve taken my 3rd jab this morning. The first two days I will always feel really yuck, but once that passes I’m ok.
