Bit premature but planning on starting with Mounjaro in next week or so.

I’ve struggled with my weight for the majority of my life and despite having periods of being within the realms of ‘healthy’ weights, these have been difficult to get to and v hard to maintain. I’m now keen to sort things out, once and for all before I’m 40. (Given myself a buffer as currently 36…) 😅

Ah sorry @SilenceInside yes, my post was aimed at @Clumsykitten and think @Moosey898’s was for me!

Doh yes it was!

Calyx72 · 10/10/2025 10:09

Sorry for those feeling anxiety, that sounds frightening but I am sure it will pass, fingers crossed.

Savoury breakfast will be my next try! I thought I would try weetabix but as I was heading to work I put 2 in a wee Mason jar with almond milk, drop of maple syrup, and a tablespoon of psyllium husk but it was rubber by the time I got to work Envy

Hi all! I'm technically a re-starter. Was on Mounjaro in March/April but then fell pregnant so stopped (had lost 8.2kg in 8 weeks). Sadly lost our little girl at 22 weeks pregnant due to an infection, so now am back losing the pregnancy weight to get back down to required BMI for IVF....again!

So upsetting and annoying to be back at square one but I know MJ worked really well for me earlier this year so I'm hoping it will again, I got such great headspace from it. I'm on blood thinners still since my hospital stay but from Tuesday I'll be able to start MJ again!

I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you.

Keep going!

Hi everyone. I’m taking my first jab today. I’m 70kg and want to be 56kg. Over the last 20 years I’ve managed to get to 59/60 kg several times but always put it back on again. I managed to go to 64 and back up to 70 again in 4 months this year! I’m a bit all or nothing - can be really strict for ages but as soon as I reach a goal (typically for a holiday) I start to feel like I can eat anything I like and go a bit mad!
so determined to change this cycle. May mean I’m on some sort of dose for life- but let’s see!
im not getting my jab until 5pm tonight which is annoying. Can I gradually over time bring that time forwards so that I am eventually taking in the morning? Friday evenings are always super hectic

Hi, yes you can change the day or time of your jab, just do it this evening when you get it and then next week change it to the Friday morning that’s totally fine.
Good luck with your journey x

whensmynexthol1day · 10/10/2025 10:17

Thank you @Elliebearblues!

MrsMaudwatts · 10/10/2025 10:20

So far so good- no real side effects. I'm taking dulcoease every other day which seems to be keeping constipation at bay. I feel slightly bloated but that's it (I've been so worried about side effects)

Scales down 5lbs already...! Hoping I dont fluctuate back up! Weighing in tomorrow as i started my calorie counting a few days before the jab.

I'm amazed so far. Little appetite. I often feel dizzy/weak because I have forgotten to eat🤯 I do not recognise this feeling/behaviour!

Hope you're all doing well

Gah! Don't know why I keep posting title times!

I forgot- i do have a negative side effect I think - my sleep is TERRIBLE.

The two times I've injected (late evening) I've barely slept a wink and then it's on off for the rest of the week so I am really feeling that. I'm assuming it's mounjaro related dince its followed a pretty clear pattern.. might not be. Anyone else?

My sleep is definitely different as my Dreams are very vivid or scary (!) - maybe take it in the morning next time and see if that helps?

We're very close in start date(1day!) I'm just a few hours in and not feeling any different yet apart from. A tiny bit of indigestion feeling. I'm also a bit anxious which is putting me off eating anything even though I'm hungry 😂 excited we can share as we go along

I totaly get when you say the anxiety is putting you off food! Even that surprised me since anxiety would make me eat more previously!

Yes, its so good to be able to share this with others who are starting at a similar time

Juststarting12 · 10/10/2025 09:54

I’ve just taken my first jab, I was shaking like a leaf but it really was painless. I do tend to get myself worked up over things and think ahead to the following hours / days and possible side effects 🙈
@BlueFeverI am doing the same as you, use this for 2-3 months, have a break (I think they say 8 weeks?) and then start TTC. Wishing you lots of luck

I felt the same before my jab. I was really stressed and kept googling the best place to jab. Also, exactly where in thigh I need to jab. When I finally did it, I felt so relived!

IlovePostitnotes · 10/10/2025 11:37

Hello everyone, I've literally just done my first jab. Not sure how I feel.

SW:79 kg
GW: 63kg.
Good luck Oct starters!

jaelato1 · 10/10/2025 11:44

Warm welcome to all new October joiners

@MrsMaudwatts well done on your loss

Juststarting12 · 10/10/2025 14:55

@BountyMultipacki did it in my stomach and watched the video over & over, I still can’t believe I actually did it.
How was it in the thigh?

Juststarting12 · 10/10/2025 14:58

I’ve just noticed I’ve got a pretty dark bruise already & only did the first injection at 9.30 this morning. Does anyone else bruise so quickly / easily from them?

I only did it in thigh since I read somewhere that someone felt less side effects on the thigh. I don't even remember where i read this, but it stuck with me so i thought id try it in the thigh.
I may try stomach next week and then even try upper arm, to see what suits me and if I feel a difference.

I did get a slight bruise the next day (yesterday) but its gone down in colour now.

I tend to bruise on my thigh but not my stomach x

Wishing you lots of luck too! I read you only need 4 weeks of not taking it before TTC

Juststarting12 · 10/10/2025 16:41

@BlueFeverthank you, I didn’t know that.

@Elliebearblues@BountyMultipacki think I was a bit heavy handed, I read that you shouldn’t push too hard and I think I did that with the rush to get it done and some nerves. I’ll try & be gentle next week

whensmynexthol1day · 10/10/2025 17:19

Just done my first jab. I’m an ivf veteran so thought it wouldn’t be too difficult in comparison but it all seemed pretty tricky with all the different clicking and then not so easy to push down with the clicks whilst in your stomach. I’m sure it will get easier over time!

Shitzngiggles · 10/10/2025 17:39

W2 D2.
The first week suppression worked really well, but today I've been feeling hungry on and off all day. Is it normal to fluctuate like this? It was so nice not to feel hungry all the time and I really dont want to go back to that.

Sunshinesally77 · 10/10/2025 17:58

I’m on day two and feeling nothing- if anything hungrier than ever !! Anyone else get this and then it kicks In Properly? I’m nervous I’ll be the person it doesn’t work on !

cheekysausage123 · 10/10/2025 18:14

I’m hungry today too @Shitzngiggles on week two, due to inject again on Sunday. Telling myself it’s normal as the 2.5mg dose of MJ is only to get you used to the meds really.

Are you on MJ @Sunshinesally77? I’ve read that suppression can take a few days for some individuals, and for some it does require higher doses, hard to know at this point though, fingers tightly crossed for you.

Hello! Yes that’s right I’m on MJ probably being impatient !!

Moosey898 · 10/10/2025 18:15

@Sunshinesally77 for some people the 2.5 doesn't really feel like anything, but when you go up to the 5 it really kicks in! Hopefully you'll be feeling it soon.
