Bit premature but planning on starting with Mounjaro in next week or so.

I’ve struggled with my weight for the majority of my life and despite having periods of being within the realms of ‘healthy’ weights, these have been difficult to get to and v hard to maintain. I’m now keen to sort things out, once and for all before I’m 40. (Given myself a buffer as currently 36…) 😅

SW: 14st 7lb
1st GW: 13st

After three days of lovely suppression I'm feeling hungry again... husband is eating pizza and I'm drooling...

Shitzngiggles · 10/10/2025 18:22

Thank you @cheekysausage123 I think because I was so surprised it worked so well the first week it just feels a bit disappointing to feel hungry again. But realistically I guess there will be ups and downs along the way. And that's true about it being a starter dose.

narcASD · 10/10/2025 19:13

@Sunshinesally77 me! I was so hungry the first week too and didn’t really feel it working at all, I ended up taking my next dose a day earlier as well,

I’m now 12 days in and think it’s working better now, I can’t wait to go up a dose through!

narcASD · 10/10/2025 19:16

I’ve just ordered some disposable diabetic needles to get this “golden dose” the size of the needles - yikes!

I don’t even feel the needle go in on the pens

BountyMultipack · 10/10/2025 21:46

I had a terrible headache today- just finished a litre of water and having a little more now- not looking forward to the too trips all night!

I had some cravings today too especially the chocolate cravings. Husband was having a kitkat chunky with tea and I had to leave the room.

I was looking for the needles last night but they did look thicker. When are you due to do yours?- please let me know. I’m such a woss!

Hello,
I’d love to join in. My first pen arrived this morning. It’s in the fridge at the moment and I’m rather nervous about the injection! Need a little hand hold I think!
I’ve struggled for the last 18 years with weight loss, after my first child. I’m really hoping this will work. I’ve agonised over trying it but decided to finally take the plunge and order.

Juststarting12 · 11/10/2025 14:10

@RubiscoisfantasticI did my first injection yesterday and I was so nervous, it honestly didn’t hurt at all. I took the pen out about 20 minutes before I used it & watched videos as I was prepping it. I was a bit heavy handed and managed to bruise myself so try not to press too hard. So far I’ve just had a little headache but the suppression has been amazing. Good luck!

Honestly you don’t even feel the needle it’s so small nothing to worry about there. I was nervous the 1st time I did my injection as I’d never done anything like that before. Like you I’ve tried all sorts of diets and none of them worked so these weight loss injections were worth a shot. I have a few online friends have done so well on them x

Rubiscoisfantastic · 11/10/2025 17:12

Ah, thanks. I don’t think it’s the actual needle. It’s whether I’ve done it correctly and if I get side effects. I’m sure I’m worrying about nothing. I’m going to watch the videos and do it this evening.

I was also really worried about it and it was completely fine- I just used the instructions which came with it to the letter and it was very clear- it was so painless I actually thought I hadn’t got it in at first 😆

Rubiscoisfantastic · 11/10/2025 18:22

I did it!! 🙌

Sunshinesally77 · 11/10/2025 18:22

Hi all xx has anyone tried to move their jab day at all? I’m only in the first week as started Thursday but thinking I should have done it so that it wears off by weekend a little as I’d like to feel more relaxed and enjoy a glass of wine on a Saturday- can you nudge it forwards at all? Thought I could just inject on Sunday eve but not sure how gradual I should be

jaelato1 · 11/10/2025 19:20

I have read there is a 4 days window to take next jab if you missed or want to move jab day so should be fine @Sunshinesally77

Well done @Rubiscoisfantastic

cheekysausage123 · 11/10/2025 19:22

That’s helpful @jaelato1how are you doing?

I’ve been hungry AF today but despite not eating particularly well, quantities are still less than before. Food noise is present more. 3rd 2.5mg jab tomorrow.

Yep I've previously nudged it by a day over a 4 week period to move it to a better day for me!

PfizerFan · 11/10/2025 19:27

Had a cheeky weigh in this morning - lost six pounds! After 5 days. I know it will be mostly water weight but this never happens on a conventional diet.

whensmynexthol1day · 11/10/2025 19:40

24 hours in and I think suppression has kicked in already! Have had a nasty cold though for a few days so appetite has generally been down but it felt different today. I felt a sense of calm that I don’t normally feel. Was very strange. Food wise had a bit of a dodgy first day in that the kids decided they wanted to go to a local street food place for lunch to have pizza. There weren’t any ‘good’ options so I had chicken kebab meat and chips. Probably ate 1 chicken thighs worth of meat and about 10 skinny chips and was done. Definitely would have demolished the lot previously. Overnight oats this morning and just had an orange and won’t eat again as I’m just not hungry. No unpleasant side effects yet but let’s see what’s to come!

Elliebearblues · 11/10/2025 19:40

MrsMaudwatts · 10/10/2025 10:20

So far so good- no real side effects. I'm taking dulcoease every other day which seems to be keeping constipation at bay. I feel slightly bloated but that's it (I've been so worried about side effects)

Scales down 5lbs already...! Hoping I dont fluctuate back up! Weighing in tomorrow as i started my calorie counting a few days before the jab.

I'm amazed so far. Little appetite. I often feel dizzy/weak because I have forgotten to eat🤯 I do not recognise this feeling/behaviour!

Hope you're all doing well

I’m the same with dulcoease taking it every other day and so far it seems to be working x

FlibbertyGibbitt · 11/10/2025 19:45

I’m joining if I may, have ordered today my first lot of MJ. Fed up of the post menopause tubbiness. Excited to begin!

jaelato1 · 11/10/2025 19:48

@cheekysausage123 kinda meh to be honest. Had my 3rd jab Thursday and I had food noise all through Friday which was weird, Today seem to be better though but I am thinking I might need to move to 5mg soon though. Problem is my next 2.5 prescription just arrived today, now I am regretting not uping to 5mgConfused

jaelato1 · 11/10/2025 19:53

@PfizerFan Amazing!! 🎊

@FlibbertyGibbitt Welcome onboard

cheekysausage123 · 11/10/2025 20:02

Ooh that’s great @PfizerFan good work!

Ack, bless you @jaelato1 that’s tough. I’m not sure what to do in that instance although maybe the 2.5mg will continue to work, could you try upping your protein to see if that helps you feeling fuller for longer? My issues today and yesterday have definitely been worsened by not eating as much protein me thinks. X

OP posts:
jaelato1 · 11/10/2025 20:14

@cheekysausage123 you are right because I didn't consume enough protein yesterday so today I made sure my foods were protein heavy which i know contributed to not having food noise today, protein really is golden with MJ lol xx.
