Welcome to thread 14!

Link to our last thread here:

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we enter Autumn knowing that ALL of our Winter coats will do up 🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!

I’m on W47 D2 and on w2 of my second titrating down pen of 5.0mg

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 7.0lbs
GW 9st 0lb

Total loss so far 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0)

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

A total of 2stone 12lbs off over 52 weeks, shame I couldnt make it 3 stone but I am back to losing at an aversge of 0.8lb/week. At least another 6 months to go since I have another 1stone 10lb before I am in the healthy zone.

Starting to fit into some large 12s including a summer dress I last squeezed into on holiday in 2004 ( a romantic holiday in Italy with the man who became my husband). Another 7lbs and it will fit well despite my shape changing. It looks a bit old fashioned but I feel sentimental about it which isn't like me at all.

I've met up with people recently that I haven't seen for many months and it is clear my weight loss is noticeable. Lots of 'you look well' and a glance up and down, and one lovely friend who is about as blunt as I am said 'you've lost loads of weight, well done!' She is the sweetest person and said it so admiringly I couldn't possibly be offended!

Thanks @novjaro I'm trying to stay in the 'everything happens for a reason ' camp. Positive pants firmly on.

Speaking of pants, job woes very much softened by the purchase of a pair of size 10 jeans this afternoon. Never did I ever imagine I'd be buying size 10 jeans when I ordered my first jab!! They're not even stretchy ones!!

Mounjaropen · 15/11/2025 16:42

Thank you all for the kind wishes! I’m in an Abercrombie &Fitch gold sequined minidress. It was £21.99 in the sale 💪 If is a size S. 😂 it is the petite length which is a bit short so I look a bit mutton/ Kim K as I’ve paired with a pair of black velvet Balenciaga knife heels and matching clutch but frankly it’s my birthday so I’ll wear what I want. And I’m thin now don’t you know 🤣 We’re off vintage champagne tasting in London this evening so no boxing (which was not on my birthday bingo card 😉) have spent the day cooking in advance of my girlfriends coming for Sunday roast tomorrow. I’ve even laid the table before coming out as I suspect I won’t fancy doing it tomorrow 💪 😂

Happy weekend skinny bitches. I've been a bit awol as I heard 2 weeks ago that they're 'restructuring' my team and 3 of us will be made redundant 😭 So I've been hiding, frantically prepping to re-interview and trying not to comfort eat too much.

I am very much in a plateau with my weight just now but my size 12 jeans are suddenly hanging off me, so I'm sure the scales will catch up soon (if I can keep the comfort eating under control)

I did think you’d been MIA. So sorry to read this. I’m a big believer in Everything happens for a reason and what’s meant for you does not pass you by. Thinking of you because it is an immensely stressful time, especially if you have to go through the process even though you keep your job. Whoever decided that this was the best way to do redundancies needs to give their head a wobble. Keep buggering on 💐💐💐

I got to the end of week 52 yesterday, so I make that my Mounjaroversary. Today was jab 53. I have one new 15mg pen left, and have been ordering lower and lower doses each time to start titrating down (there's a 5mg on the way). I've still got between 7-14lbs to go to give myself a maintenance safety cushion but I am very, very chuffed with myself. Started at 16st 4lbs and I am now hovering around 10st, which was my goalish weight. Consistently fitting into size 12 clothes and the occasional size 10, have gone shopping mad in my own wardrobe, am now having to cull some size 14 clothes because they are too big, and I feel like I am swooshing about the place looking and feeling fabulous. Loose skin etc. be damned!

Wow! This is awesome. Huge congratulations to you 🙌💪

Happy birthday @Mounjaropen!

And happy Monjaroversary everyone.

I've jabbed today (maintenance so spacing out jabs as long as I can handle, 14 days or more, til this pen runs out). It was definitely needed.

Last 5 days or so, I've been eating normal decent food, e.g. chicken with homemade veg sauce, or steak salad, but huuuge portions. Literally 400g chicken in one prolonged sitting without blinking. Or batch cooking but eating most of it. Also, chocolate bars every day. Double portion of Korean takeaway in a sitting. Appetite is certainly back and it worries me.

I also mentioned that MJ greatly improved my mental health and seeing as I've not jabbed for around 3 weeks, I feel low and emotional. It's been a struggle. Let's see if my mood improves after jabbing. I keep forgetting that MJ is a shortcut to me feeling better and consistent - literally keep forgetting that a wonder drug to fix my mental health in an instant exists!

I've jabbed and also got my fridge full of all kinds of good, wholesome stuff. Shall be reporting back. But I believe I'll keep jabbing through the winter to push through and keep enforcing my new lifestyle.

If I have to keep taking it to feel good physically and mentally, then so be it.

Thank you, my appetite was back with a vengeance but I noticed today that when I don’t have time to eat, I’m not hungry so my goal now is to just keep busy. 💪

Keep going, at least you’ve got the supermodel to play with 😂

Oooh, maybe I should keep them - especially my absolutely lovely red cord wide leg trousers. They’re just really baggy on the arse now, which is such a shame as I spent ages trying to squeeze into them. I used to wear them if I could remotely close the button, even when I could scarcely breathe. I thought they looked great. Blush I’m actually mortified at how I used to look.

My sentiments exactly. I’m looking back at my camera roll thinking ‘what was I actually thinking? !’

Can you get the trousers altered?

Quick update.

Jabbed 24h ago. Instant impact. My mood is totally lifted, like I'm a different person. Any underlying anxiety or overthinking wiped from my brain.

And the hunger is gone too. Magic.

jay55 · 16/11/2025 08:02

@LindtCurvesshows there is such a strong need for a long term maintenance dose of this magic.
For the cravings, depression, addiction and inflammation. It’s a medical marvel.

Ive a relative who could use the help it’s given some of you on then booze front, but they’re not fat enough to get a prescription.

Thanks for all the thoughts, it’s the fourth family loss in three years and so difficult to manage when still dealing with the estate etc of the last one.

LindtCurves · 16/11/2025 08:55

@jay55 My condolences, I'm so sorry for your loss. We're all thinking of you so hope this group makes a difference in a small way during this difficult time.

Did you personally experience any positive unexpected side effects other than weight loss?

I do hear that some people suffer with low mood on MJ, and it's a listed side effect. I wonder if what the 'magic' somehow addresses is compulsive thoughts. Food noise is a type of compulsive thought. The type of mental health I tend to struggle with is obsessing over something, e.g. overthinking and getting sad a particular problem instead of taking action, or negative thoughts about relationships. And MJ seems to kill those off. I'd love to find out more about why this might be, and if other people have the same experience.

Despite eating more calories some days last week (large portions of chicken, steak etc), I haven't gained (1/2 pound isn't a gain in mye eyes, it's the weight of a glass of water 😉)

That's 6 weeks without gaining, with no particular effort made not to gain, apart from a 7.5mg jab every 14-21 days.

Anniversary is 2 weeks away, let's see if I can keep this up!

back on MJ and have dropped 2kg.

i need to catch up on everyone, but huge congratulations to all for your 1 year anniversary results.

i was in the US for work last week, a year ago I put on half a stone in 2 weeks so I am relieved to have not repeated that.

I am batch cooking soup for my lunches this weekend and boiled eggs for snacks

Happy birthday @Mounjaropen 🥳🥂

Mounjaropen · 17/11/2025 08:18

Good morning friends in my phone!

So my birthday celebrations are now over for another year…😭 time to shave off the birthday pounds…i’ m actually quite excited about doing this as I’m expecting my new Pvolve equipment- the body and booty bands plus their sculpt 9 drink which is an alternative to protein powder that has only 5 calories per drink when made up. Unfortunately it’s not yet available in the UK and would be prohibitively expensive to order by itself from the US regularly but as i don’t use protein powder I’m interested to see the effect (if any).

I’m on a big vinted listing trip this morning. Might also try Ebay again given the sizing debacle. I’ve realised that posting a photo of you wearing the item definitely increases the likelihood of selling so going to be dressing up for the rest of the morning using bull dog clips to pull items in from the rear 😂

DH is away for two nights so just me and the dog…two nights of unbroken sleep from the Olympic level snorer will be utter bliss 😂

Have a good week whether losing, maintaining or simply dealing with life 💪🏻

lovely to hear from you! Well done on losing the 2kgs 🙌I’ve definitely noticed my hunger levels increasing as I drop down, managing that definitely takes planning and prep. I can’t believe that Tesco sold 10m ‘protein pots’ last year. Basically 2 boiled eggs.. how hard is it to boil eggs at home and put them in a small Tupperware? I also say this as someone who is eyeing up Victoria Beckham’s new foundation at £104 a pop..so I guess we all choose where to spend our cash 😂

I’m waaaaay happier this past year. Nothing to do with being thinner (although it is rather lovely to rediscover old wardrobe faves) I had a particularly difficult few years with loss and dealing with a toxic sibling - and I was so angry and despairing all of the time. I still had stuff to deal with this past year but I seemed to have not let it get me down. I also prioritised myself this year. Instead of spending time firing off emails all of the time being angry, I’ve got on the treadmill, reflected and decided if it was necessary to rise to the bait each time. This change of tactics has caused confusion with the protagonists to my advantage. And for sure my mental health is much improved. So yes, I think MJ has definitely improved my mood too.

So sorry to hear of your loss. We had a torrid time when all of our parents passed away in a 12month period. As all of them had dementia of one form or another it was the end of a long period of mourning.. dementia in reality means you grieve for someone whilst they are still alive as well as after they pass away. I hope you are looking after yourself and send strength to you and your family 💐
