Huge well done to @MummyInTheNecropolis @Motnight @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne !!!

Weigh day here too and I have a very big milestone to report. I’ve somehow lost 4.5lb this week (I don’t know how; I’ve been ill and not been to the gym and felt like I ate loads to make myself feel better!) and have dropped UNDER 100KG for the first time. 🥳🥳🥳

I weigh in kilo and convert to both pounds and stone for my records as DH prefers the scale set to metric (and I don’t care which it is) and I’ve been waiting to see that number start with a 9 for such a long time!!!

Absolutely delighted.

Well done @afaloren! Isn't it amazing how things like making it into another stone / kg bracket can make us so happy?

Motnight · 19/09/2025 08:04

I've weighed and gone down into another stone bracket. Really happy. 3 more lbs to a 7 stone loss.

@Elephantscantjump - assuming you have been on 2.5 mg since you started 9 weeks ago? I would personally go up to 5 mg but obviously not in your position. You are doing really well.

Thats a fantastic loss 👏🏻

Thank you! Yes been on 2.5 for 9 weeks and really pleased, ive probably got used to seeing the weight coming off each week so when its a bit slower it makes me second guess.

I'll weigh in Sunday and see if it was a blip, side effects wise I want to try and stay on a small a dose as possible as gastro problems have been really miserable although manageable.

Fffreeeeezing · 19/09/2025 09:43

Wow, well done everyone!

Can't help but be envious of all you lot nearer to the end than me but comparison is the thief of joy and all that.

Week 27 for me and a 2lb loss bringing me to a total of 5st 3lb or 33.1 kg for you metric people which is my achievement of the week, being under 130kg (just!)

I'm really feeling it's slow going at the moment and a bit of a struggle and I need to change something, I just don't know what! I'm still aiming for 1600 kcal a day (my TDEE is 2332 so 1600 is fine yeah?) but usually come in slightly lower but always over 1400 and I track everything. Unless someone thinks different, I don't think cutting my calories down any lower is a great idea?
I get weight loss slows down (this is obviously not my first rodeo) but at 20st 6 it feels a bit soon for that and it's been 2lb off (in total) in the last 3 weigh ins despite being 100% consistent with food 🤷🏼‍♀️

I know I need to trust the process it just feels the process is too slow for me at the moment!

Didn't really have any NSV's this week, unless we count more compliments than I've had cumulatively in my whole lifetime about my new hair cut/colour, let's pretend it looks good because of my thinner face 🤣

PearlsPearl · 19/09/2025 09:51

Amazing @afaloren what a wonderful feeling it must have been to see that 9 💖

I have a walking pad too @Lobsterteapot I try and get outside with the dogs but on miserable days I’ll go on it. With an episode of Gilmore Girls.

GnomeDePlume · 19/09/2025 10:28

Some amazing weight losses, well done!

Something I have noticed today, sleeves are getting longer. Obviously this is because my shoulders, arms etc are slimmer. But it feels weird, a top I made with sleeves to the elbow now has sleeves below the elbow. The sleeve is brushing my forearm and annoying me!

SilenceInside · 19/09/2025 10:35

Week 63 weigh in for me today.

SW: 139kg (21st 12 lbs)
CW: 76.2kg (12st 0lbs), was 78kg (12st 3lbs)
GW: 73kg (11st 7lbs) sixth interim goal

Current pen: 10mg, 19 weeks on this dose.

Very happy with a 1.8kg or just a whisker under 4 pounds down this week. I am now bang on 12st and looking forward to seeing the 11 stone bracket next week. I have not been at this low a weight for about 20 years. The week before I decided to order Mounjaro I weighed 22 stone exactly, which is part of what tipped me over into deciding to try WLI. I was 21st 12lbs when I did my first injection. So, today I have lost 10st since my absolute highest weight, and 9st 12lbs of that on Mounjaro. Seems quite unreal!

I also had a blood test earlier in the week, as part of my annual BP medication check up, and got the results back yesterday. All in the normal ranges, same as last year, but it's good to know that my liver function, cholesterol and HBA1C are still all as they should be.

OMG me too! I wore a hoodie last night on my dog walk, and was convinced I'd picked up my sons by mistake because the sleeves were over my hands 🤣

Missingducks · 19/09/2025 11:30

Excuse my language but Fuck Me! Have just done the kg to stones conversion and I am just one lb off losing 3 stones!!! Numbers are not my forte as you can tell.

Fantastic!! I'm old school and don't use kg, and it's such a buzz when you hit the next stone bracket. Obviously the weight loss is the same however you measure it, but my fizzy brain thinks stone milestones sound more impressive 😊

KillerMounjaro · 19/09/2025 12:22

Well done everyone - so many milestones today!

Most people’s are much bigger than mine, but I am excited to move down into a new stone bracket today.

SW 21st 11
CW 18st 13

So hopefully in a couple of days I will have lost 3 stone!

I love this thread - you’ve all done so well that it just convinces me that I will be able to do it this time. I can’t see why not.

I’ve read lots of good tips here about eg constipation, which has been a problem but kiwis and magnesium seem to have improved things a lot.

My interim goal is to get to 17st 9lb, which will take my BMI under 40 - doesn’t seem too long away hopefully.

I’m finding using Shotsy really good to keep a record and I feel with that even a loss of less than a whole pound is recorded, when I didn’t really count that on paper!

I’ve done 16 jabs and I started on 1st June - still on 5mg and hope to stay on 5 for a while yet.

Lds1 · 19/09/2025 12:34

@KillerMounjaro progress is still progress no matter how small compared to others, this who are further on here started somewhere 🙂 we celebrate all the wins!

MummyInTheNecropolis · 19/09/2025 12:51

Thank you all, it’s so nice to be able to tell people who get it! Flowers

mamabeeboo · 19/09/2025 13:59

Just posting to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the NSV and the SV that we are seeing!!

@afaloren under 100kg?!?! Are you freekin kidding me?? That's INSANE.
In my head, that's my interium goal of 'I'm actually doing it'. So I'm so so pleased with you. Give me 9kg and I'll meet you there 🤗

mamabeeboo · 19/09/2025 14:05

@Billybingbong @GnomeDePlume
I find sizing very strange and interesting tbh. For example, how someone who is taller can be in a smaller dress size than someone shorter than them. Obviously it all works out, but one of those things that gives me a headache haha

My tshirts and leggings are getting very long now, but I'm doubling them up as workout clothes so I am trying to still get the last bit of use out of them.

I was following a thread on reddit with interest where people talk about the strangest places they have lost weight - including dropping shoe sizes, tightening the strap on their baseball cap as they lost fat from their head(?) and losing fat from their inner ear??!?!?

(How can you measure your inner ear, I hear you cry - well, apparently their headphones kept falling out!)😆

TragicMuse · 19/09/2025 14:54

Oh and the whistling in the ear from some Eustachian tube thing! I have it constantly and have to reassure myself it’s not high blood pressure!!

The shoes thing, absolutely! I am going to wear a pair tonight which have a little strap. It was tight when I bought them last year, it isn’t now!!

I am going out to dinner tonight. The menu has calorie counts and I KNOW I will be over my daily allowance, but I’m at peace with it. It needn’t be famine all the time…

afaloren · 19/09/2025 15:47

Enjoy your meal out @TragicMuse as you say it’s not about depriving yourself all the time!

As I was under the weather this week I asked DH to pick me up some fresh chicken soup in a pot. DH accidentally picked up chicken risotto instead but do you know, it’s delicious. Cully & Sully is the brand. Quite low in calories and fat considering it’s risotto! And none of the faff. Thought somebody here might enjoy it.

Billybingbong · 19/09/2025 15:49

Oh my, the ears thing could explain why my ear buds aren't as noise cancelling as usual. I thought they were faulty, it didn't cross my mind that my ears might have shrunk!!

Also, rather random, but I've swapped the chain on my pendant for a shorter one, because it was starting to sit too low and drop between my boobies.

We're meeting up with relatives tomorrow who I last saw a year ago, it will be interesting to see if anyone comments.

TragicMuse · 19/09/2025 16:20

Oh yes to the necklace length too! I just can’t with tightness around my neck. Polos are a nightmare! Tried a necklace last night which had somehow shrunk and it’s comfortable! So I’m wearing it.

Mounjaro 10st (or more) to lose Thread 8
SilenceInside · 19/09/2025 16:29

The necklace thing! I had actually got to the point where I couldn't wear my favourite necklace that I used to wear daily. It was tight, which given that the chain is 45cm long means that was my neck circumference was about the same 😮

I can now wear it and it hangs properly below my collarbone, so I have lost several cms off that circumference. Probably explains why my snoring is miles better and doesn't keep people awake any more!

PinkArt · 19/09/2025 18:13

GnomeDePlume · 18/09/2025 20:49

A strange thing today.

I have a blood clotting disorder so have to take warfarin and have regular blood tests. In the last few weeks my INR (measuring the 'stickiness' of my blood) has been steadily decreasing meaning I am having to take more warfarin. Today I was phoned up from the warfarin clinic with a strong suggestion that I should start injecting anticoagulants. Managed to negotiate this down to a big increase of my warfarin and another blood test next week to see if this has worked.

But it is another strange mounjaro effect. Counter intuitive to my mind. My thyroid medication dosage has reduced as my weight has come down.

Is it worth discussing a different anticoagulant with them, if they're interacting? I noticed that warfarin is on the no list with Medexpress, for Mounjaro prescriptions, but rivaroxaban isn't.

WafflingDreamer · 19/09/2025 18:36

@GnomeDePlume there is a slightly increased risk of DVT and PE whilst taking mounjaro. I'm not sure what the research showed but it would make sense it may effect your INR

SecretNameforMN · 19/09/2025 21:37

I've chosen not to take any more jabs. Does this mean i must leave the group? I am 20 stone overweight and determined to lose at least 10.

SilenceInside · 19/09/2025 21:39

@SecretNameforMN speaking for myself, absolutely not! You’re welcome to stay imo, we all have different journeys. If you find it helpful to post here than carry on.

Thank you, unfortunately rivaroxaban is not suitable for my blood disorder as there isnt an antidote for it. I have an excitable immune system (!). Warfarin gives flexibility depending on how my immune system is playing.

My mounjaro is prescribed by the diabetes nurse and my blood disorder is monitored.
