Hope everyone is well today! Please keep the losses and the chat and the NSV coming, this is my favourite thread to read everyday and it's so inspiring and wonderful to have a team of virtual ladies cheering everyone on!

I celebrated my birthday earlier this week, which was on jab day 7 (so planned nicely!). I had a wonderful rainbow cake from M&S - oh my word it was so so sweet. My tastebuds have definitely reset.

We also went out for dinner on my birthday and I bought a few treats for myself, a little storebaked flapjack and some wotsits and prosecco just to enjoy the day.

I didn't want to track anything and feel restricted, however I was very mindful of what I ate all day, almost like a mental note.

I LOST TWO POUNDS this week despite having all this - I genuinely cannot believe it.

For the first time it's made me think, I actually can do this long term, because I can have my treats and the scales aren't punishing me for it.

SW:144kg
CW:107.5kg

Absolutely buzzing and just shy off the 6 stone mark now.

Fffreeeeezing · 10/10/2025 11:00

So today is usually my WI and jab day but every week I wish it was on a Saturday, so this week that's what I'm going to do (and going forward obvs)

I have actually weighed today and stayed exactly the same but I'm not going to record that one and do an 'official' one tomorrow. I do my PT session on a Thursday and some weeks (including this one) I am so sore on Fridays that I swear I'm weighing heavier with the muscle inflammation etc. I could be wrong but regardless, Saturdays makes much more sense for me so that's what I am going to do!

Fingers crossed I see a 19 at the start of my weight tomorrow, I am so done with the 20's

Injected my first 12.5mg. And another week begins. It feels like forever that I've been on 109kg. I'd love to start the new year in double digits 🤭

Hope it works for you @mamabeeboo, I'm also stalled and it's dragging me down a little. I'm keeping the faith though!

newtothegreen · 10/10/2025 11:57

The news about SVs and NSVs are so brilliant to read and very inspiring. What a lovely thread, I’m so grateful for it as it’s a bit of a lovely world out there in the online WLI which is a little dominated by people who only have a bit to lose.
Here though I feel like I am normal, there are people living the same experiences as me and who have lived them and now have a different experience because the Mounjaro has given them the boost they desperately needed.
So well done everyone, everyone is doing so brilliantly and it is really very inspiring!

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 10/10/2025 12:02

Jab day today (not until tonight) and weigh in day tomorrow for me. Not expecting a huge loss this week as I've not been well and so haven't eaten as well as I normally do. That said, I've definitely felt the benefits of the MJ - before this would have set off a spiral of comfort eating but that hasn't happened this time - I've had more carbs/sugar and less veg/protein but still stayed within my calories (albeit with less of a deficit than normal). I also had a chocolate this morning from a tea trolley brought around by some colleagues and while I enjoyed it, it didn't trigger a craving for more and I didn't feel guilty for having it, which is really positive, it makes me feel like this must be how slim people feel!

EverybodysALebowski · 10/10/2025 12:50

Today's excitement: ordering new underwear in a smaller size. Got a bra in a smaller size earlier this week because realised all mine are now getting too roomy. Trousers are also getting looser, enough so they feel baggy by the end of the day, so also added a new smaller pair to the mix. Exciting but expensive - new bras especially. A good reason to lose slowly!

Also have the losing-my-sweet-tooth issue that @mamabeeboo mentions above. I saw an amazing looking chocolate cherry tart from Waitrose on offer and splurged. It's so sweet even a sliver is too much. Pre MJ me would have probably eaten half of it at a sitting.

Have switched to split dosing, doing 2.5 two times per week, 3.5 days apart, instead of 5 once a week. It's working well for me, and it seems to have relieved the mild but annoying nausea I was having the morning after jabbing when doing once per week.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 10/10/2025 13:39

Many congratulations to all of you!
There are so many pieces of good news on this thread, I can barely keep up.
It's brilliant to read them all, and to see everyone's pictures.

The scales are really teasing me today 100.1kg, so close to seeing 99!

SilenceInside · 10/10/2025 14:26

Week 66 weigh in. The week seems to have rolled around super quickly this time. And I think I have miscounted weeks at some point, as I thought this was week 65 but my spreadsheet says 66...

SW: 139kg (21st 12 lbs)
CW: 75.1kg (11st 11lbs), was 75.4kg (11st 12lbs)
GW: 73kg (11st 7lbs) sixth interim goal

Current pen: 10mg, 22 weeks on this dose. A 1lb loss this week, I will definitely not complain about a loss, any loss, at this stage. Happy to consolidate being in the 11st bracket. BMI is now 27.25.

I hope people don't mind the personal indulgence, but I wanted to post another progress picture. This time of me wearing a lovely dress that I got extremely cheap from Vinted (where else?! £10!), which I think suits me and is something that I would have loved to have worn but would never previously have felt able to. It's a size 14, which still blows my mind. The lighting in my bedroom is terrible too, just realised the picture is quite dark! It's not a sensitive image, I just dislike seeing myself on the photo feed at the top of the thread...

Why do I look at other threads? "I started at 11.12" and would like to lose a stone. A STONE! Kill me now.

@SilenceInside that dress shape was made for you and those legs!

Autumnflowers2 · 10/10/2025 15:26

I had to stop going on any weight loss thread except this one .
I weight 11 stone ,I'm so fat omg 😟 😳
Your feeling good about your recent loss ,and bam back to square one feeling crap

I feel your pain @mamabeeboo!

I start 12.5mg on Sunday. I'm desperate to get to the next stone bracket. I'm currently 16st 1/2lb. I was 16st 1lb on 1st October. So frustrating. But the last couple of weeks of September were good.

SilenceInside · 10/10/2025 16:06

@PearlsPearl congratulations on getting the job btw, that is fab.

I’ve said it before I’m sure, but I could still start WLI now as my BMI is 27 and I have high BP which would mean most places would accept me as a new starter. I think that most people would look at me now and not think that I would qualify for WLI at all. I read those kinds of threads but stop myself from commenting. I try to assume that they are very short, and/or have a weight related health condition or qualify on ethnicity grounds. If you’re 5ft tall and weigh 11st 12 then your BMI is 32.4 which is definitley obese. But I do know exactly what you mean about those kinds of comments!

Well exactly!
I totally agree with you on that!

This is the only thread for me.

Can I join in please? I am a fair bit through my journey, but losing a bit of pace lately and noticing bad habits slipping back in

SW: 156.6kg April 2024
CW: 92kg Oct 2025 - current total weight loss 64.6kg

Goal weight? Actually not sure. The next one I'm aiming for is to take my BMI out of obese and into overweight, so that's 83.5kg.

I'm probably the lightest I've been since I was at high school, I feel so much better in myself, having to buy new clothes as I've worked my way through all the ones I'd gotten too fat for over the years, its a good feeling

GnomeDePlume · 10/10/2025 16:43

@SilenceInside that dress looks great on you.

The thing I really like about mounjaro/wegovy and this thread is that we are all doing it our own way. Whether it's split dosing, single dosing, long needles or short, calorie counting or OMAD. We are all doing it our own way and no one is telling anyone they are doing it wrong.

There's advice or opinions if you want them but nobody gets upset if you go another way.

Welcome @IsThisLifeNow. This is an amazing thread for people at any stage in their journey!

Onenotsosmallstep · 10/10/2025 21:17

Oh @SilenceInside you remain and will continue to be my inspiration. You look stunning! I wondered, if it’s not too intrusive, how old you are? I know you mentioned mixed thoughts about how you might feel about loose skin the other day.

SilenceInside · 10/10/2025 21:42

@Onenotsosmallstep ah, thank you, you are too kind. I don’t mind saying how old I am, apparently I am 48, although I still think I’m 24!

SilenceInside · 10/10/2025 21:47

I was also wondering if anyone who knows about clothes or dressmaking would be able to tell me what the shape/cut of the dress is? I think I’d call it a sheath dress but I’m not sure if that’s quite right.

Oh gosh absolutely yes
Sometimes I do OMAD , especially if I need a boost
Some days I have lunch and dinner,,never have done breakfast
Some days I use long needles, some days short ones
No one ever says anything negative,it's all support all the the way xxx

I think you are quite right and it is a sheath dress. And it looks amazing on you.

Wk33 weigh in this morning (wk1 on 7.5mgs) … 1lb off. No side effects from the move to 7.5mg which is good. Slightly disappointed at just 1lb loss if I’m honest (hoped for a wee whoosh!) and still feel that suppression could be better…but hey, it’s just week 1 of the new dose.

I’ve lost 23% of my starting weight and averaging 1.9lbs loss per week over the 33 weeks.

SW (15 Feb 25): 19st 9lbs / BMI 44.4 (obese class 3)
CW: 15st 1lb / BMI 34.1 (obese class 1)
GW: healthy BMI (between 18.5 and 24.9 (8.3st-11st) for my height) - 4st 1lb to go to get to top of healthy range.

Wks 1-4 (2.5mg): -17lbs
Wks 5-8 (2.5mg): -6lbs
Wks 9-12 (2.5mg): -11lbs
Wks 13-16 (5mg): -7lbs
Wks 17-20 (5mg): -4lbs
Wks 21-24 (5mg): -7lbs
Wks 25-28 (5mg): -7lbs
Wks 29-32 (5mg): -4lbs
Wk33 (7.5mg): -1lb

Total loss: 64lbs
