Sorry but that sounds a bit too worthy!

Damn it! I want it to work 😬. Skincare and jewellery it is then!

Finally weighed after my blip of the last 12 days or so - I have put on less than half a pound.

GnomeDePlume · 09/10/2025 11:03

@TragicMuse haberdashery is a good thought, thank you. Plus it is a lovely word!

Iwouldratherbesinging · 09/10/2025 11:28

So today marks one whole year on Mounjaro, it’s one of the best decisions I have ever made and has honestly changed my life. I have so much more confidence and energy.
The only down side for me, but totally worth it, is a year of trying to keep on top of constipation, I’ve been really lucky with side effects. Loose skin is a pain, but I’d rather have that than the weight, I don’t need to learn to love it, just to not hate it.

SW - 21st 7lbs (approx, I stopped weighing)
SW on Mounjaro - 19st 2.9lbs
CW - 11st 11lbs
I’ve lost a total of 7st 5lbs in the year on MJ and around 9 stone 10lbs since approximately January 2024.
My bust has gone from 56 inches to 41 inches, waist from 47 to 32 and hips from 58 to 42. I’ve still got a way to go but I know it’s doable.

I still really mourn for the younger me though, there are so many things I held myself back from, school was miserable, home life was miserable, being a morbidly obese mum was miserable. I stopped contact with my narcissistic and violent mother, but there is a tiny part of me that would love her to see me now. I’m now living my life fully and will continue to do so with no inhibitions!
I’m also very grateful to all of you here, it’s been a hell of a journey from the 10 stone or more to lose thread one!

What do people use for reward when food doesnt hit the mark?

I had a small reward from work, a gift voucher for Waitrose/John Lewis. In the past we would have blown it on a couple of really good steaks and some very expensive wine. Now, I dont know what to do with it. I'm sure I will think of something but I keep looking at things and thinking 'how much!'

Clothes 100%
I love a sale ,a bargain I buy stuff in a size down and enjoy the thrill when I finally fit in it

SilenceInside · 09/10/2025 11:52

@Iwouldratherbesinging what an amazing update! Congratulations on your one year on Mounjaro, and on your whole weight loss progress to date.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 09/10/2025 12:12

Look at you @Iwouldratherbesinging

We're the same weight now!

Just fantastic @WafflingDreamer and @Iwouldratherbesinging. Thanks so much for sharing your journeys, it’s a long old way for all of us on this board.

I’m another one voting for skincare as a reward/treat, I’ve started following Caroline Hirons quite intently. Turning 40 and losing 6+ stone has not been a kind combo for my skin. I’m with you @WafflingDreamer on a renewed enthusiasm for body lotion/oils. It was too much like trying to paint the Humber Bridge before 😂

PearlsPearl · 09/10/2025 12:49

Wow, @Iwouldratherbesinging what an amazing achievement! You look fantastic and have done so so well 💖

I feel sad for my younger self too- so many years wasted on being so big and full of self loathing. Here’s to the future 💫

Autumnflowers2 · 09/10/2025 13:08

I've lost a couple of pounds this week to .heading towards a 9 stone loss now .
Getting lots of compliments in my swimming costume today.
I've stopped the OMAD for now ...I'm having a sandwich every day for lunch ,and really enjoying having bread again..
Bit nervous about starting wavyego in two weeks.
I'm so near to the weight I got married at ( one more stone ) I can almost smell it .

Lovinglifeand · 09/10/2025 16:43

@Iwouldratherbesinging
Huge congratulations on your fabulous weight loss! You look amazing. I can't wait to be saying the same thing in a year's time (I hope)

Iwouldratherbesinging · 09/10/2025 17:07

Thanks guys! I still have to pinch myself to remind me that it’s real and I’m not going to awake from some wonderful dream.

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne fellow scale twins!

Missingducks · 09/10/2025 17:24

@Iwouldratherbesinging wowsers you have given me a nudge for today

mamabeeboo · 09/10/2025 19:07

Injected my first 12.5mg. And another week begins. It feels like forever that I've been on 109kg. I'd love to start the new year in double digits 🤭

Fffreeeeezing · 09/10/2025 20:48

My blood tests came back and everything came back great and my HbA1c has gone from prediabetic (44) in June to normal (40) now - hurrah!

You look amazing @Iwouldratherbesinging

That’s brilliant news @Fffreeeeezing I’m so pleased for you.

Good luck @mamabeeboo I hope the 12.5 gives you that extra nudge that you need.

I’ve just weighed in and I am officially no longer obese as of today! Never thought I’d be so happy to be overweight but honestly I could cry. BMI was 53.1 when I started and is now 29.5!

Happy Friday everyone. I have just weighed and officially lost 100 lbs 😵‍💫

Iwouldratherbesinging · 10/10/2025 07:36

How did the job interview go @PearlsPearl?
yay to no longer obese @MummyInTheNecropolis and 100lbs is brilliant @Motnight
just adding to what others have said @GnomeDePlume, skincare is definitely my go to treat these days…

Onenotsosmallstep · 10/10/2025 08:38

What a start to Friday @Motnight and @MummyInTheNecropolis. Both those achievements are just amazing, you must be so proud.

Doggymummar · 10/10/2025 08:38

All these victories make me so proud of us. @Iwouldratherbesinging you look amazing. So many talented wonderful women in this group. Well done 👍 ✅

GlowGetter · 10/10/2025 09:17

Wowzers - some amazing results reported giving hope and inspiration to those of us following on. Keep up the good work everyone!

PearlsPearl · 10/10/2025 09:32

Some amazing victories! Overweight instead of obese must feel so satisfying @MummyInTheNecropolis and @Motnight 100lb is amazing! That’s my next goal.

Thanks so much for asking about the interview, @Iwouldratherbesinging I got it! Which is a massive relief. Starts after half term so I’ve got 2 weeks to get back into work mode in my mind. It’s a school job so will be nice to have the holidays off again.

I had a little NSV yesterday which gave me a boost before the interview, I have my favourite shoes (red mary Janes- very cute) but haven’t worn them for a good year. I’ve never been able to put them on by myself before as I can’t bend over. DW does them. Well yesterday I put them on totally effortlessly. Bending over is fine now! So glad to have much less belly in the way of everything. And I cut my nails standing up with a foot on the toilet standing up which I don’t think I’ve done in a hundred years. I usually have to just sit on the bed.

I also accept now I’m probably an 18 on top. All the vinted clothes I bought in 20 are too big! Going to resell them now and buy more. I’ve wanted a Lucy and Yak leopard fleece for so long, finally saw one in a 20-22 and snapped it up and it’s too big on me, looks a bit daft. So I’m very happy to resell it and buy a 18. Who even am I?! Lucy and Yak are opening a store in Edinburgh soon which im
very excited about.

Pot of cake in hand, cos life is for living 💖

Well done @PearlsPearl on your job interview! Love the pot of cake too!

Billybingbong · 10/10/2025 10:23

Huge congratulations on the new job @PearlsPearl 🎉👏🎊

Well done everyone on your losses & nsv's this week, it is such a joy sharing your journeys.

Week 27, and my first maintain. I've lost consistently every week for the last six months, so it had to happen at some point I suppose, but I must admit I'm a little bit cross that my losing streak has been broken. Oh well, here's hoping for a whoosh next week to compensate 😊

SW 22st 8lb
CW 18st 1lb
GW 11st 4lb

Have a great week everyone, keep on losing 😍

mamabeeboo · 10/10/2025 10:38

@Iwouldratherbesinging the pics look incredible!!!

@GnomeDePlume I'm not a fan of skin care items - I'm a nail gal 😃So I get some different colours or gel wraps to celebrate anything or to feel feminine. But it's definitely a struggle to come out of the rut of not using food as the reward. I'd previously get the Gu desserts or a very highly calorific drink from Starbucks with all the whip. And general when I am out, I'd be drawn to a Greggs or Costa or something....for what I don't know. I have no business being in there!! The mindset shift is real.
