Woo hoo @Southwest12 🎉

I'm on a plane for the first time since I've been "skinnier" and there's loads of spare seat belt and seat! I think I can safely get rid of the secret seatbelt extender I used to carry with me.

This is superb! I am so looking forward to meeting the concept of “spare seatbelt”.

I have been feeling rotten today. I don’t think it’s MJ related - I think I’ve had a virus or something it has left me with some super nasty sore and itchy skin - I’m slathered in Aveeno and hoping for a less itchy night tonight.

PearlsPearl · 29/09/2025 19:56

@Southwest12 amazing feeling! Happy for you!

Billybingbong · 29/09/2025 20:19

@Southwest12 brilliant, I love reading about all these victories.

@PearlsPearl how are you getting on with your new dose? I hope the se's are long gone.

@FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping I hope you're feeling better soon.

Ive had a lovely, but rather frustrating NSV today. I've pulled out six (yes, six, please don't judge me 😳) winter coats from my wardrobe. All bought on a whim over the last few years, and most never worn, because none of them have ever fastened up comfortably. Well every single one of them is now too bloody big! I'm keeping one of them to use for dog walking, and the rest are all going on Vinted. Hopefully I can make enough to buy one that actually fits me 🙄

PearlsPearl · 29/09/2025 20:56

That made me smile @Billybingbong how great that they're too big! I put mine on vinted yesterday and sold it, as I bought a new size 20 one from Tesco last week while I was on holiday (the highlands are freezing!).

Day 1 and so far so good, everyone keep your fingers and toes crossed for me!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 29/09/2025 21:09

Ha ha I've also sold a new coat on Vinted today.
It was a size 14 which I'd bought for when I'd lost weight.

Except I kind of missed the boat with it, and it's too big now.

I never actually wore it.
🤣

Similarly I zipped up a gilet at the weekend for the first time ever ... Flipping heck people - gilets don't just keep your back warm and provide pockets for poo bags, they can warm your whole core!! Skinny people may always have known this.

Doggymummar · 30/09/2025 08:41

I have a usb heated gilet, thats next level warm.

TragicMuse · 30/09/2025 08:51

I wore a coat this morning that I ADORE! It’s turquoise, wool, has amazing pockets…I remember it being really warm and cosy.

I was going to sell it till I noticed it has been a little munched by the moth - it has a few very small bald patches! - so I didn’t list it. And now it fits! I’ve got a few lbs to go before it does up loosely but I don’t need to button it just yet! And I could, it would just be a bit snug!

And I’m wearing a jumper dress I bought last year which was too clingy then, despite being a 24, and is now absolutely fine!

I now need to sell my coats which are too big!!

For this winter I am keeping all my old coats so that I can wear all the clothes I own underneath.

Lds1 · 30/09/2025 13:39

I can't believe you all have so many coats! They were another thing I always struggled to find in sizes that allowed me to comfortably fasten and wear layers underneath. I only had 1 coat at a time coz they were stressful to buy.

I now still only have 1 coat but it's one from a outdoor shop so it has a layer in that zips in and out so it will work for different temperatures. Maybe I'll find the joy in coats eventually!

TragicMuse · 30/09/2025 15:31

Im finding the pull to sugar is quite a bit harder to resist at the moment! So I’m considering titrating up a bit.

Current pen is 7.5mg, next one is a 10mg. I normally use the 5th dose. So I could potentially get 2 at around 8.5mg from the pen I have…

Does that sound ridiculous?

I suppose I could just jump to 10, but something is feeling like that’s really intense. That IS ridiculous, I know!

PositiveAttitude · 30/09/2025 20:13

Having a wobble here. I am always hungry on the 6th and 7th day after jab, but this week I am on day 6 and I have been so bad.
I watched a YouTube video that explained that MJ actually has a 5 day half life, so should be taken every 5th day to reduce the peaks and troughs, but it was kept to a weekly dose to be easier for people to manage.
I am seriously thinking of going back down to 5mg but doing that every 5 days instead of the weekly 7.5mg that I am on currently. (As explained in the video, reducing the dose but 5 days between gives a more even affect. )

Has anyone else tried this?

Whatever, I am going to jab in the morning instead of waiting to bedtime tomorrow, when I normally do it. I can't have another day like today.

Lds1 · 30/09/2025 20:36

I've been having to use more will power recently, I've put it down to being out of routine last week. We'll see what Thursday brings.

@TragicMuse I've usually had the 4 doses then had extra on the 5th dose, but having 2 larger doses wouldn't be a problem, assuming you've already had 4 weeks at 7.5

I quite often jab every five days.
It depends how I feel.

Thanks @Lds1! I’ve been doing 7.5 for 3 or 4 pens now…

Iwouldratherbesinging · 01/10/2025 07:27

was ironing at lunchtime yesterday and marvelled at how my clothes no longer drown the ironing board, ironing is also so much quicker with smaller clothes!

@PositiveAttitude I regularly jab every 6 days on 15mg, I’m also planning to trial jabbing 7.5mg every 5 days once I’ve got another stone off.

@TragicMuse doesn't sound ridiculous at all, sounds like a sensible step

TragicMuse · 01/10/2025 08:03

Week 31, 7.5mg

SW 19st 4lbs (Jan 2025, pre-MJ)
SW on MJ 18st 11.5lbs (1 Mar 2025)
CW 14st 9.5lbs
Loss this week 1lb
Total loss 64.5lbs

Interim GW (set by Nutracheck!) 13st 10lbs

TragicMuse · 01/10/2025 09:32

I was a bit disappointed with ‘only’ 1lb off but then I remembered the dim sum of Saturday!

I hadn’t thought about shortening the jab interval, I might look at that, thanks for mentioning it.

GnomeDePlume · 01/10/2025 09:52

Some small NSVs:

I am wearing a top I bought a few years ago but only wore a few times as it was uncomfortably tight. Now fits just fine.

DS's birthday yesterday so takeaway for dinner. In times past I would have had fish and chips. Last night I had shish chicken kebab with salad, no sauce plus a few of DH's chips. I did have some flat bread. Ate all the salad but less than half of the meat which I can have for lunch today. It was delicious with non of the heavy 'I've eaten too much' hangover today.

So I've lost track of how many weeks I've been using a longer needle..
Definitely I feel more in control of my food choices..but I don't think it's having a massive impact on the scales .. currently it's the same pound going on and off .
I feel a bit stuck in a rut ..
so with that in mind and the price increase,I've bought a wavygo pen ,to see if that makes a difference
I don't start the new pen for 3 weeks..but I will see how the first month on wavyego goes ,as to weather I stick with it or go back on monjroro..
I did venture on to some starting wavyego threads ...but they are talking about how awful it is being their starting weight..when that's what I'm trying to get to .
Tbh
I'm feeling very frustrated again ..
Just need to give myself a bit of a talking to I think

Autumnflowers2 · 01/10/2025 13:14

Assuming..if I stay on wavyego it's ok to stay on his thread ???

Autumnflowers2 · 01/10/2025 13:15

This ,not his
