The cheapest for 15mg Mounjaro on the Monj site seem to be around 270 with no discount - Cured and Medicine Market Place both are doing that price. Cured seem to be doing a £15 off any order at the moment which makes it 255 for first and subsequent orders. That would seem to be a pretty reasonable price, @Autumnflowers2for 15mg.

Thankyou ..that is actually less than I have already been paying .I'd be very happy with those prices

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 27/09/2025 18:31

@Autumnflowers2 both the codes I gave you were for MJ or for Wegovy. They sell them both.

You can choose to buy Mounjaro or Wegovy. It's up to you.

I’ve just check the Cured site and the price for 15mg Mounjaro is definitely 270 and the £15 discount code from the Monj site works as well, bringing it to £255.

26 jars of blackberry jam made!

I don't eat a lot of it and almost never as jam but I do like a sweet salad dressing so add this to it.

Amazing! I am useless at making jam as it never sets, whatever I do! What is the steam juicer thing you mentioned?

I am doing a rubbish job of keeping up with this thread! Have moved up to 7.5mg this week - felt very rough yesterday but OK today. Down to 112.9kg today: when I get to 112.2kg I will be under 40 BMI which is really exciting. All being well should make it this week. It makes me laugh to think of being thrilled to be “only" Obese Class II.

All the chat about longer needles is interesting. Last week was my first time using a syringe to get the 5th dose, and thus a longer needle than usual. Not sure it made any difference to effectiveness, but I didn’t get an itchy reaction at the injection site, which otherwise I always seem to get.

Lds1 · 27/09/2025 20:56

Back from holiday, undecided if I'll weigh tomorrow or wait til Thursday to give myself chance to even out a bit.

I've always used zava they have been good for me over the last year, I have a 25% discount code if anyone wants it

Iwouldratherbesinging · 27/09/2025 21:08

35000 steps today around London, I’m absolutely shattered! Spent a lot of today feeling dizzy though, I’d been drinking, had a Costa porridge for breakfast, shared a Ruben sandwich from borough market at lunchtime so I had been eating and drinking. Did crave something sweet though around 3pm so I wonder if it could be blood sugar levels? Made hubby buy a cake so I could have a bite but dizziness continued on and off.

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden my arms are the same, I did develop a saggy under chin area but over time that seems to have sorted itself out. I read somewhere that skin can take 18 months or so to right itself

Fffreeeeezing · 27/09/2025 21:39

I’ve had the weird experience (NSV?!) of someone not recognising me today! From a distance granted 🤣 I was walking my dog across a field and a fellow dogwalker who I haven’t seen since spring was staring at me from the other side of the field as they recognised my dog but couldn’t figure out who was walking her! First thing she said when I reached her was OMG you’ve lost weight, how did you do it? If I don’t see her again for a few months again her mind will be blown!

The suppression today is oddly high, didn’t fancy anything for dinner but having only had a bowl of fruit and yogurt all day, thought I’d best eat something, just had scrambled eggs on toast and still have 600 calories left 😬

TragicMuse · 27/09/2025 22:29

I’m back from a day in London. Cocktails, dim sum and theatre!

I think I did ok - some dim sum, enough, which carried my through from 12 till about 9.30pm. Then I had a couple of ryvita and avocado.

Not as many steps as you @Iwouldratherbesinging!!

We saw Ncuti Gatwa in Born With Teeth. God it was good! He has absolute star power. And he’s entirely more beautiful than any man has a right to be!!

Missingducks · 28/09/2025 07:29

I have been with BUPA for 6 months. Initial fee £99 to get accepted and prescribed by GP. Monthly call with coach to check progress. I don't mention 5th dose. Price dropped from £250 to £190 for 5mg and now £217 for 7.5mg. Just had six months GP call (not charged) and approved to continue. I do have a spare pen in fridge because they don't know bonus dose may have been taken. Haven't needed to use their lifeline support but it's there. They use a distribution company and it always arrives well packed and still cold. No extra delivery cost.

I don't make recommendations for others but my experience with them has been positive and I genuinely believe they are more about the health than the sale.

Lds1 · 28/09/2025 09:27

I weighed it's a miracle I'm the same weight as last Sunday when I left for holiday! If I buck up my ideas I could reach 10 stone loss this week 🤞🏼 I'll go back to weighing on Thursdays.

Sw 142.8 / 22 stone, 6 lb and 13.1 oz
CW 79.6kg / 12 stone, 7 lb and 7.8 oz
Total loss 63.2kg / 9 stone, 13 lb and 5.3 oz
BMI 50.8 now 28.3
To get to healthy 9.5kg / 1 stone, 6 lb and 15.1 oz

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 28/09/2025 09:38

That sounds a good experience. And where as they were expensive they now seem quite reasonable! Did you just order every 5 weeks ish or do you order 4 weeks and save the pens for a later date?

@Iwouldratherbesinging Wow that is an incredible number of steps!! I am in awe!! I can see under my chin is looking crinkly but it isn't swinging like my arms can - I'm glad yours sorted itself out. Its good to know that even if it doesn't go away in 18months its likely to improve.

Wow @Lds1 Yay for a good post-holiday weigh in. But also you are a hairs breadth away from a 10 stone loss there aren't you! I have a similar starting number to you and goal amount (but I'm at 15 st 8!) and its so nice to see those of you already in "overweight" territory.

I took 8.3 on Friday and thought it would solve all my problems but have still been plagued by sulphur burps, gurgly stomach, and cramping. I even googled gastritis as its been getting to me (it isn't). I've been on windeze, gaviscon and resorted to pepto last night when my daughter wouldn't sit near me... I try to save pepto for student facing days.

I found Mounjarohub does a free "concentration in your blood" calculator and it looks like it might take another week to reduce a bit. But I'm wondering now if that will be enough. Or it could just be that my stomach has been so all over the place the last 6 weeks it takes a while to settle. I'm still waking up at night.

On the plus side. I weighed this morning at 98.8 (My graph has been all over the place the last couple of weeks - I imagine linked with the gi fun). I've been playing with the NHS calculator and at 98.2 it drops below bmi 35 (and into Obesity 1 although it doesn't say that bit).

So another goal is in sight :) I just need to sleep. Get on top of work... and start eating more... and for my stomach to stop messing around!

Doggymummar · 28/09/2025 10:08

And my photo I used to get the jabs
I doforget what a massive difference it is.

Doggymummar · 28/09/2025 10:23

I saw my sil yesterday for the first time in about two years and she was jumping around oh my god you look amazing etc, so that was good. She also told me her other brother, the one that's not my other half, is on the jabs too, he puts a lot on insta and has been doing a lot of running or jeffing as it's called apparently. He's not mentioned the jabs to his followers which is a bit naughty I think to let them think it's all diet and exercise? Not sure how I feel about that, maybe he tells them if they ask, maybe it's no one's business.Im .just pleased he's getting healthier. I've had to buy smaller jeans again. Love I can fit in mens jeans again, I much prefer
Buying by waist size than clothes size for a precise fit. My levis 32 are too big so got some diesel and Hugo boss 31s which are perfect and should last a bit longer. Thank god for Preloved sites as they were £3 a pair!

PearlsPearl · 28/09/2025 10:49

Weighed in after 2 weeks on holiday. 3 weeks off the jab. And only gained 2lb!!

I'm so happy with myself. Just shows I have made proper changes to my lifestyle and even off the jabs haven't gone mad.

Jabbing tonight again. 1.25 it'll be for a few weeks. I honestly don't know what I'll do if I have the same reaction but just need to wait and see now.

FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping · 28/09/2025 11:57

@Lds1 what an amazing loss! Absolutely inspirational stuff.

@PearlsPearl brilliant to have managed so well without the jabs, even on holiday! I hope you don’t have too much bother with the side effects going forward.

Lds1 · 28/09/2025 12:03

Thanks guys, hopefully be back to a loss this week.

I'll maybe post a photo when i get to the 10st point. Although mentioned before the photos I used when I started were bra and pants so they aren't getting shared 😂

Iwouldratherbesinging · 28/09/2025 13:25

@Lds1 wowzers, that’s amazing! Well done @PearlsPearl, let’s hope you don’t get the awful reaction again 🤞🏻
on our way home now for a well earned rest, my legs still ache from all the walking but no dizziness today thankfully, here’s my very boring ABBA outfit but it’s a size 16 so it was amazing for me!

Just a heads up for everyone as I’ve just had my first “consequence” from the August shortages/stockpiling mess.

I’ve used Medicine Marketplace for months and had worked my way up to 12.5mg, buying a pen at the start of July and again at the end of the month. When the price rise announcement came, I thought I’d buy a couple of extras, but MM didn’t have any stock of the top two strengths so I bought a 10mg, and then another, intending to count clicks to get to 12.5 equivalent if necessary, or if stock came back, to use them to titrate down in the future. I also bought a 15mg pen with a different pharmacy towards the end of August, using a photo of one of the 12.5mg boxes as my proof.

I placed an order with MM on Monday for 15mg, and they emailed back to say they would only let me have 12.5mg as the last pens I bought from them was 10mg. I replied explaining why I’d bought 10s after having had 12.5s, and that I’d counted clicks to make up to 12.5 mg equivalent because they didn’t have the stock of what I needed. The pharmacist said they couldn’t recommend that practice, and so he wouldn’t prescribe 15mg. I’ve now sent a photo of the 15mg box from the other pharmacy from August, and I’m hoping Medicine Marketplace will now dispense the 15mg. Fingers crossed.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 28/09/2025 14:16

If you need to buy 12.5 just this month can you do that and count clicks /top up from a spare pen and then just get 15 next month?

afaloren · 28/09/2025 14:23

The NSV I’ve been desperately looking forward to: my wedding ring fits! I couldn’t be happier. Just in time for our fifteen-year anniversary. At last, my arm is complete again.

RonMJ · 28/09/2025 14:23

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden I could work around it with lower dose pens, but it works out more expensive as I now do need to move up to 15 (been on 12.5 since June).

Aw, that’s a lovely NSV and great timing. Congratulations on both achievements!
