Progress Report on Wegovy.

Day 5.

Still feeling well, no side-effects.

Good suppression of appetite and food noise is....... well, quiet. 🤣

I wasn't expecting it to be as effective as MJ but it has been, for me, so far.

I'll weigh myself in two days...........

I am very glad it's working, because it's so much cheaper than MJ, and CheqUp give very good discounts.

Week 25, and 3lb off, 4st 6lb in total. I'm tantalisingly close to 4 1/2st and the next stone bracket, hopefully next week, just in time for my 6 month monjiversary. Ive had multiple comments this week, so it looks like the difference is really starting to show (for real, and not just in my head ☺️!). Its a lovely feeling, and I am starting to feel a little bit proud of myself.

SW 22st 8lb
CW 18st 2lb
GW 11st 4lb

Have a great week everyone, onwards & downwards 💕

Amazing!! Well done 👏👏

MummyInTheNecropolis · 26/09/2025 19:17

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne and @SilenceInside you both look incredible! Congrats!

A weird thing I’ve had lately - everyone around me has been lovely and supportive and very congratulatory on my weight loss but recently a couple of friends/acquaintances have asked if I’m going to start dating now. I’ve been mostly single for the last decade (couple of short lived romances in that time). It’s made me feel a bit weird - do they think the only reason I was single was because I was fat? Am I somehow more loveable now that I’ve lost weight? Do they think the reason I’m losing weight is to snare a man?

I’m perfectly happy single, not really interested in dating and although I’m not against the idea of meeting someone one day, it’s definitely not a priority for me!

52soon · 26/09/2025 19:42

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne and @SilenceInside how fabulous you both look, I can’t ever imagine getting there but the amazing people on this thread are showing it is possible with patience and hard work. Thank you for your inspiration.

despite my user name I am actually 56 and I purchased some just below the knee boots (admittedly still plus size) today, I have never been able to get them around my calves before, I will be wearing with thick tights and dresses instead of my usual leggings and dresses. By next autumn I will hopefully be in normal size boots.

mamabeeboo · 26/09/2025 10:22

@newtothegreen @Autumnflowers2 great on finding the longer needles! I use 8mm, and I'm still figuring out if there's a difference.

Just a polite word of caution for using Amazon as a needle source (same for golden dose) - they aren't vetted and we don't know the cleanliness or policies they are upholding. Can I suggest using needles from a registered pharmacy. Many of the pharmacies we purchase the pens from also have needle stock.

Here's a link to the ones I use
Chemist4u needles

Thank you so much x

ABBA voyage blew my mind last night! Has anyone been? The lines between the physical and digital were definitely blurred, it was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it, as a side note, no squeezing into chairs or encroaching other people’s spaces, and the ease of walking over 27,000 steps. Here’s me in my very modest, no sequins Abba M&S size 16 dress. Ahhh - update, WiFi not letting me upload, will do it later.
have a happy weekend everyone

Iwouldratherbesinging · 27/09/2025 08:07

@Doggymummar ahhh, look at you, you’re beautiful in all images, both before and after! Amazing 🤩

Billybingbong · 27/09/2025 08:47

@Doggymummar wow, you look like a completely different person, amazing.

@Iwouldratherbesinging I do quite fancy ABBA voyage, it sounds like a blast. Im glad you enjoyed it. I love a good show. We've got Take That tickets for their circus tour next year, I can't wait

PearlsPearl · 27/09/2025 08:52

Blackberry jelly making today. Nobody in the family like bits in their jam so I'm using the steam juicer. Such a boon! I used to make the jelly using a jelly bag but always ended up with the kitchen looking like I had tried to dismember a corpse with a teaspoon.

Blackberry jelly is our go-to if we want to add some fruity sweetness to something: anything from salad dressings to sponges to gravy. We grow the blackberries on our allotment. Started with around 9kg of blackberries and now have around 4.5 litres of juice

Total loss: 62lbs

Lovinglifeand · 27/09/2025 13:22

Mum2Fergus
Your progression and weight losses are fantastic. Congratulations for all the hard work you've done. I was wondering whether your Mounjaro supplier was happy to keep prescribing 2.5mg for 3 pens? I am thinking about keeping to 2.5mg for a third pen but my chemist was very unhappy with me having a 2.5mg second pen and wanted me to move up to 5mg. I don't know if I want another argument. Did you find the third pen 2.5mg pen was just as good or do you wish you'd moved up to the 5mg earlier?

Billybingbong · 27/09/2025 13:32

I'm just back from a 6 mile walk with DH and the dogs. It was quite a challenge, very hilly in places, but I managed it without collapsing in a heap. Best thing when I got home though. My teenage son (boy of few words but many grunts!), gave me a fist bump and told me he was proud of me 🥰. And THAT is the number one reason I'm doing this, to make my kids proud 💕

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 27/09/2025 13:38

My teenage son (boy of few words but many grunts!)

I had two of those. They're grown men now. They're a good deal better at communicating these days.

🤣

OMG That is seriously exciting!!! @SilenceInside Are you going to mark this in some way? Treat? Trip? 10 stone!!! That is incredible!!!

@Billybingbong Well done! You're doing amazing and that's a fab loss! I found that the first few months were very much a quiet journey - not much to see and just being patient and then like you people started noticing and I could see in my before and after phtoos there was a real difference.

And similarly the thread goes fast and I'd love to let everyone know how much their victories make me happy and how much I value this thread. It so helps hearing people's struggles to becuase it makes it a safe place to share and feel less alone as well as finding people with common difficulties.

Doctors - yes one of the reasons I want to be 25bmi or under is literally so that I can go about other things and it not be the weight. Or even some of the thigns that could be weight to be eased (like asthma, recovery after chest infections).

Amazing photos ❤️.

I'm quite low today. I have work hanging over me and I procrastinate doing it so I don't even enjoy the time I'm not doing it. I do wish I ahd a more contained job as I want to enjoy evenings/weekends without getting into this "what have I done to my life" spiral. Its mainly work and AuDHD thought spiral related. And being overwhelmed. But I have wondered if MJ isn't helping. I'm so tired and low at the moment. And just not getting through the things that would help me be on top of teaching/admin.

I jabbed 8.3 yesterday and think in a week or two the lower level should settle.

Oh and - I video my exercises for my online training group and realised just how flappy and droopy my arm fat is. I've tried to take a screenshot of it so not a good photo and I know I wouldn't normally be at this angle... But it's already huge. And I have nearly 5 stone left to lose. I have known from the beginning I'd likely have loose skin and to work on acceptance and see it as a badge. But I hadn't realised it would be this bad. It literally can swing. And feels separate to my arm if that makes sense.

BTW own-brand Ozempic will start to be rolled out in a few months.

It's possibly going to to only £20/month.

I'm very interested in this.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 27/09/2025 14:06

Just found a "better" picture of the arm droop. It's like more than my arm width. But I guess it's better than it being full of fat. It must have been so much wider. And I'm getting to do the exercises. And I won't usually be stood like this!

Wow now that is exciting!!!

I've still not worked out what I'm doing MJ wise as I was so happy on it until the last few weeks and I'm so nervous of different side effects. I think I would have to wait til at least easter and possibly June before I could change over. But then maybe by then I'd be closer to my goal and happier to move...
