Weigh in and jab day.

SW 137kg BMI 53.5
CW 102.5kg BMI 40
GW 63kg BMI 24.6

16 stone 2lbs in old money, 5 stone 6lbs down. 25% down on SW.

I was looking at myself in the mirror the other day, turned and just for a moment saw a glimpse of a slimmer person. Only a glimpse mind. I turned back to face on and it was gone.

No one other than close family has commented on my weightloss. I think it is because at the moment I am still big. It will be a long time before I am out of that category.

Time seems to have frozen the scales these last couple of weeks and apart from the odd fluctuation up they are being really stubborn to come down, finally dropped 1lb this morning. My suppression has been dreadful though and I've been wanting to eat everything. I injected yesterday morning and have had some suppression again suddenly so hopefully I'll be back on track.

I ordered my wegovy pen from chequp this morning, thanks to @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne £50 off it cost me £114. I went straight for the highest dose as I'm on 15mg MJ, I ordered it at about 8am got a notification saying they needed ID, a photo and proof of prescription. The photo was a bit annoying as it has to be done instantly you can't upload a picture so I had to try to balance my phone somewhere. However I submitted them all by about 9:30 and the order was all approved by 9:42!! As a heads up it is a subscription however you don't pay anything extra, you can adjust your payment date from 2-8 weeks after your last payment and it seems very easy to pause or cancel your subscription.

mamabeeboo · 25/09/2025 10:17

SW:144kg
CW:109kg
GW: 75kg (??)

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm looking forward to the next stage of this weightloss, where every stone, every kg will make an impact on what I look like and clothes fit etc. It's keeping up my motivation.

I do YouTube workouts, just a question - does anyone get emotional when exercising? Sometimes when the PT encourages us and says things like "don't hold yourself back, don't quit, you can do this" etc, I feel quite emotional and have actually gotten a little teary because I take the encouragement so personally and I feel like the 'dont quit' encouragement is much bigger than just just the workout in front of me.

It might just be me 😜

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 25/09/2025 10:44

@WafflingDreamer OMG yes, the photo for CheqUp was so difficult for me to take, too.

Ive just received this delightful email from my boss. We've worked together a very long time, and she knows the struggles I've had with my weight over the years, so this has really touched me. She's so lovely, the kind of boss everybody deserves 💕

@Billybingbong that's a lovely message to get from someone you know and who knows you so well. A real affirmation.

TragicMuse · 25/09/2025 12:42

Oh how lovely! Well done!

Motnight · 25/09/2025 12:42

@Billybingbong what a perfect, thoughtful and fab message to receive.

After 23 days at 16st1lb yesterday my scales said 15st13.8 back to 16st0.0 this morning but the scales are moving again, jabbed 7.5mg yesterday and will jab another 2.5mg Sunday. Blood test booked for 2/10 and will then request a 10mg pen. Anyone with diabetes know if you’re levels reduce will they increase dose? NHS prescribed at moment.

PearlsPearl · 25/09/2025 15:48

Just popping in to say hi while we have WiFi, and to show you this pic of little old me… 20 mins up a hill. Me! Doing this! So happy.

Every single step up this steep path has been hard won over the last year and every hard moment during it has been totally worth it.

Weigh day for me today and I've now lost exactly 8 stone which is 30% off my start weight.

I'm especially pleased as I was on holiday for a lot of September but managed to still lose whilst I was away (self-catering).

I may however need to curb my vinted addiction....at least until I get around to listing more clothes as it doesn't count when I use the money I make from selling to buy stuff!

SilenceInside · 25/09/2025 16:03

@PearlsPearl that is wonderful NSV and a lovely picture!

@Janie934 congratulations on your Scale Victory - 8st and 30% is amazing!

Well done to everyone else weighing in today, whether you've lost, sts or gained.

Doggymummar · 25/09/2025 16:23

I'm back to weighing daily, monthly didn't give me enough of a buzz. 158lb today thats a new low. The thing is I now have choices of what to wear other than one t shirt that fits and some stretched out leggings. I volunteer for a charity as a fundraiser, its just a monthly lunch and it's tomorrow. Normally I would have no choice and just wear a black dress now I dont know what to wear, even tailored trousers look, nice. It takes me ages to get dressed now.

TragicMuse · 25/09/2025 16:36

I have been beaten by sweets today! No idea why. And it’s day after jab so I should be riding high on my little pillow of security.

Ah well.

Great losses all, well done @Janie934

And happy clothes-deciding @Doggymummar

Probably nothing you don't already know but when things like that have happened to me I try to remember that a 1 day blip won't matter in the long run....but only if it stays as a 1 day blip rather than becoming an everyday blip. So accept that today you are enjoying the sweets and tomorrow start fresh.

Also I pretty much only buy funsize or treatsize chocs/sweets. That way if I overindulge I'm still having way less calories than I would have done previously (I'm v excited for Halloween simply because I'll have more options for small treats to stock up on)

Autumnflowers2 · 25/09/2025 16:49

So I'm what 3 weeks in to using longer needles and half a stone down ..since using longer needles ..8 and half stone off altogether
But I'm getting side effects that I don't like .
I wake up in a morning to swim at 7 ,and my stomach is still feeling full from dinner ..
Plus I'm getting a bit of stomach ache too..I feel delicate 🤕 .
I've cut down the portion at dinner ,and some days have a bowl of a light soup at lunch ..but most days I'm OMAD .
One more stone and I'm at my wedding day weight..which I wore a size 18 dress for .
A hundred percent...mj wasn't fully working for me ,untill I started using longer needles

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 25/09/2025 16:51

@GnomeDePlume - oooh nearly not morbid!!! I was quite excited. And have you checked if you're "on the page" for NHS yet??

@Billybingbong What a lovely email ❤️.
@PearlsPearl Wow well done! And you look amazing!
@Janie934 8 stone!!! Wow!!

just went to use my medino voucher and they've put the prices up 😳. So even with the voucher it's not worth it doh! Sneaky.

I'm still holding out buying clothes til my stomachs reduced a further as its still so round. And we really are struggling a bit. I probably do need to try wegovy if it's as easy to switch back if it doesn't work - I hadn't realised that was the case until @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne post. My surgery does log all my drugs so they might be curious but otherwise I so need to save money!

Well done ..me to ..it's a huge loss isn't it

It's made such a huge difference to my life and how I feel about myself.

I've found I'm not only buying new clothes in smaller sizes but also accessories, make up, hair stuff. Im also getting monthly manicures. All because I feel more confident and I general.

To get to a BMI in the middle of the healthy range I'd probably need to lose the same again. I probably won't get there before I stop as Im hoping to start fertility treatment and its a trade off between time and BMI. But for the first time in my adult life I can see how I could get there.

My feet are down a whole size ..I've a few pairs of new trainers..I've not decided what to do with yet .
I probably need to loose another 4 stone ..and that would take me to a size 14 ..
But depends on how my skin goes ..I'm happy to stop at a size 16
Your doing brilliantly @Janie934 xx

And it's moments like that which remind us all why we're doing this. Bloody well done, you should be so proud of yourself. And the view looks amazing too!!
