I was just wondering where it had been confirmed that the 7.2mg has been approved. I have read that Novo Nordisk had submitted the application but hadn’t seen any outcome for that as yet.

I was just wondering where it had been confirmed that the 7.2mg has been approved. I have read that Novo Nordisk had submitted the application but hadn’t seen any outcome for that as yet.

I saw it on one of the online pharmacies this morning.

Here's a quote from Click:

"Current estimates suggest the 7.2mg dose could become available in the UK sometime in late 2025 or early 2026, but this timeline depends on the speed of the regulatory review process and manufacturing capacity"

OP posts:
TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 23/09/2025 11:04

And what's the betting that Wegovy 7.2mg comes with a hefty price tag?

OP posts:
SilenceInside · 23/09/2025 11:17

I think late 2025 might be a bit optimistic as a timeline. The application for approval is with the EMA, which might approve it in the next month or so. That would make it possible to be supplied in the EU, but in the UK they would then need to make an application to the MHRA which would take at least another 2 or 3 months to be approved. So that would put it into mid 2026 I think in terms of being available to patients.

Given that it's 3 times the strength of the current highest dose, I would think the price would be pretty high too. Hopefully not three times the price of 2.4mg as that seems to range from £170 to about £300!

Hello losers!

I have been into the under-the-bed bags again! Yesterday I was thinking about Popsy dresses. Then I thought ‘hang on, you can make those you absolute loon’. Then I thought ‘where’s my black and green dress?’ And today I hauled it out! By a lucky fluke it was right at the front of the biggest bag.

I made this dress 10 years ago and it was in rotation for a good few years before I outgrew it. But today it fits as well as it ever did. Hurrah!

I’m so pleased. I’m so proud of myself.

Lds1 · 23/09/2025 13:30

I've bought a few long sleeve t-shirts for winter with a fleece lining as I'm always cold all in a medium. Also bought new PJ's as mine are all XL and falling down. The should be enough basics for winter.

TragicMuse · 23/09/2025 14:13

I might need new nightwear…

Today I am within 1.5lbs of what I weighed 13 years ago…that feels pretty good

Fffreeeeezing · 23/09/2025 15:42

Any tips for where to find good thermal/fleece lined clothes? To say I'm cold would be an understatement 🙄 I've got those super thick heat holder socks on and I still can't feel my feet (and its allegedly 16 deg out there, this is only going to get worse) I couldn't sleep last night as I was so bloody cold.
I really should stop saying I get no MJ side effects, being perpetually cold is mine! It's definitely not the lack of padding yet 🤣

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 23/09/2025 15:46

@Fffreeeeezing Damart and Ambrose Wilson both do lined undergarments.

Ive just noticed ive not been cold for weeks now. Interesting. I got my thermals from uniqlo in the past. Cheap and effective. I must have sold them on Vinted too as I dont have any for this year.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 23/09/2025 16:43

Actually @Fffreeeeezing it would be worth your looking on Vinted.

Morning all. Wasn’t sure whether to share as we’re all on our own journey, the tortoise beats the hare and all that but maybe it’ll give some hope to those early on with as much to lose as I had.

It’s 6 months to the day since my first MJ ‘jab’. I have moved up in half doses to recently starting 10mg. I use a 15mg pen for this and count clicks to keep the cost somewhat down. I’m 5’8 and on the cusp of peri-menopause at 40. My start weight which I’ve never shared anywhere or with anyone else was 24st 9.5lbs with a BMI of 52.6. This morning I’m 18st 8.5 with a BMI ‘back on the chart’ of 39.6. I’m so happy I could cry.

I’m not quite halfway to healthy weight (11st 10 for my height so 6st 12.5lbs to go) but it actually feels like I might for the first time ever make it. Even when I lost lots of weight 15 years ago I never quite got to overweight rather than obese. I know my journey has been quick so far- I’m guided by appetite rather than calories as I find it triggering but focus on high protein, nutrient dense foods and still enjoy a drink at the weekend- though gin and lemonade rather than lager these days. Expecting it to slow any day, as getting a bit alarmed about potential muscle loss.

Next step is to think about exercise, I’m enjoying walking more but definitely need to up my game.

Thank you for sharing, I started at a similar weight to you and am still fairly early in my journey so this is really inspiring for me.
keep up the good work and keep posting!

Billybingbong · 23/09/2025 20:48

Ffs, almost six months in, with no problems at all, ive suddenly been hit with awful side effects. Nausea, sulphur burps, bloating, urgh. And the supression is off the scale. I can't eat a thing, and even drinking water makes me feel all bloated and uncomfortable. I'm necking the pepto bismol, but nothing much else!

Ironically, I was going to move up to 7.5 last week, but was worried about the side effects, so jabbed 6.25 instead. Big mistake, I'm going back to 5mg next week!!!

I love being able to see my collar bone! Also sometimes sit just running my hand up and down my side, amazed that I can feel my ribs 🤣. And when I lie down my pelvic bone sticks out - who knew I had so many bones?! 😂

I do the same. I can even feel my thigh bone now.

NotsosunnyShropshire · 23/09/2025 21:17

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 20/09/2025 14:11

@afaloren How exciting!! I'm close behind you - all week I've been hoping to see that "9". I'm 100.3kg this morning!!

I noticed one of my dresses I'd not worn since before summer was a LOT longer... Then realised it was because it could drop down rather than round!

Ive got the next size down chain too. This made me so happy when I did as I was often conscious od buying a chain with the pendent and knowing it would be too tight! We must have less neck??

@Kay2000 So lovely to hear your updates. You've done amazingly! And I rememver well realising when I could "reach" better on the shower etc (I think I shared one of my "shower musings" at the time!) People who have never been our level of obese would never really get it.

I don't calorie count. (It makes me miserable and actually is counterproductive for me - the opposite of a good relationship with food- I need to focus on types of foods rather than calories). And I won't be longer term. "Ive made lots of lifestyle changes" but it all has to be sustainable for me long term and diets/calorie counting won't be for me. I have a fab relationship with food now but all the changes I've made are changes I've tired to make before but couldn't without the MJ. I have accepted I will need a glp-1 of some description longer term.

I was reflecting earlier just how different my life is to 8months ago. It's literally lifechanging in so many ways. I've still got 5stone to go but I'm over halfway ans I think each stage going forwards now will be more visible gains, and the "goal numbers" (under 100kg, under 35bmi, etc) are all closer together.

I'm still not sure if my exhaustion is the higher doses of mounjaro, or shock to my body of losing 6stone, or nutrients I'm not getting or actual stress/menopause. I would like to titrate down the doses and wish I'd been one of those continuously losing on a low dose - but that could well be this time next year.

My victories...

  • I was 100.3 yesterday.... Sooooo close to being under 100kg!
  • My fitness programme. I am loving it. Just did a workout yesterday with 4kg weights (not a lot in gym world but moving on from the little weights I had) and thought yes I'm doing this... It's so lovely to be in a body that is able to enjoy moving and enjoy this without the effort and exhaustion it brought when I tried at 22stone.

I’m 100.1kg this morning. After a very frustrating stall of a few weeks, I’m really happy that I may be in the 9’s next week.

This is my lowest weight for maybe 15 years. Maybe a few more even.

I bought some fleecy lined leggings in Primark at the weekend - and in a medium I hasten to add!! But they do all sizes, I also bought a couple of pairs of jogging bottoms which I haven’t ever done before, they were nice and fleecy inside too. I’ve also treated myself to a heated blanket, working from home in a north facing room (that used to be a garage) isn’t pleasant 🥶 Dunelm has some lovely snuggly fleecy wear in at the moment.

Iwouldratherbesinging · 23/09/2025 22:21

@Onenotsosmallstep you’ve done so well, you must be elated! That back on the chart feeling is great isn’t it! I’m the same as you and are guided by appetite rather than calories, they make me miserable and I don’t want to be on a calorie controlled ‘diet’. I’m coming up to a year on MJ now and my weekly losses haven’t slowed down by much, I’ve gone from averaging 2.2 lbs a week for around 8 months to 1.7lbs a week the last couple of months.

@TragicMuse I’m so jealous of your dress making skills… I love the patterns on the Popsy dresses but the waists all sit too low on me so I can’t wear them.

I lay in bed counting my ribs last night…. 🤣

TragicMuse · 23/09/2025 22:37

I am also long waisted @Iwouldratherbesinging which is a new revelation of the last couple of years. I’m still not the best at fitting but I’m going to work on that in the next year or so…

Autumnflowers2 · 23/09/2025 22:58

I'm having some side effects to at the minute, making me slightly anxious.
I know mj is meant to slow the food down ..and I'm probably not helping myself doing OMAD
But are we meant to feel just as full over 12 hours after a small meal .?
It's difficult to sleep with very full tum ..it might even be a bit of stomach ache along with full.
Im not sure if it's better or worse than my stomach rumbling all the time as it used to do

SilenceInside · 23/09/2025 23:09

@Autumnflowers2 I wonder if it could be trapped wind, if you are feeling uncomfortably full still? I have had that a few times, and taken some OTC treatments for it which helped.

@Billybingbong sorry to hear you’ve been hit by side effects, they are absolutely rubbish. Hope it passes quickly for you.
