And my scales finally start with 11!

Today I weighed 11st 13lb.

It's taken me 20 weeks to lose the last stone. That's an average of 0.7lb/week.

Total loss in 21 months is 8st 3lb.

When all of you are worrying about the scales remaining static, or your losses slowing down - that's normal, and you must keep the faith. It's unrealistic to expect to keep losing 2lb/week.

After all, I lost 15lb in my first week. If losing weight was meant to be so fast, nobody would ever be fat. IYSWIM.

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne As ever you look amazing. I can't believe your before one is 6stone heavier though! It's funny how our fat is all proportioned differently.

When I look at those pictures I can't figure it out, either.

Mind you, the blouse in the first picture covers my arms and abdomen. If I'd taken a picture of me side on, wearing a jumper, you'd see what I mean. My upper arms were very fat, and so was my backside.

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden that's amazing, well done!

I am realising that my new perfume is cedarwood. I am wearing things which were put to the back with cedarwood wood blocks to deter moths. Could be worse, could have been mothballs.

GnomeDePlume · 21/09/2025 12:04

You are an inspiration @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne !

MummyInTheNecropolis · 21/09/2025 12:34

Well done @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGardenand @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOneI just love reading about everyone’s achievements on here and love that we can all share our excitement at the little changes that others just wouldn’t understand.

it’s my DD’s birthday party today, I’m planning to eat and drink whatever I feel like, as I always do on special occasions. Whatever I do end up eating I know it will be much less than it would’ve been before, I certainly won’t be binging on cake and sausage rolls like the old days! And even if I eat too much, it’s only one afternoon and I’ll be back on track by the evening. Such a change from before, where one sausage roll would lead to 10 more, then an ‘oh I’ve fucked it now, might as well order a pizza for dinner, plus sides, plus dessert, plus extra snacks!’ No wonder I was so fat!

PearlsPearl · 21/09/2025 12:45

Our bodies are all so different. I am only 5.1, so look so different from someone my size but taller. All of my weight is on my bottom half thanks to the lipoedema, and my upper arms are as big as my head from it too, but lower arms and my top half have slimmed round down.

Congrats to @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne and @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden on those new number brackets!!

afaloren · 21/09/2025 12:57

Brilliant news @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden and @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne well done!

Missingducks · 21/09/2025 13:00

Klaxon!¡

And I am 3 stones down ...week 23 so breaking no records but no longer breaking chairs either!

Hopefully will also hit the 20kg down this week.

Onwards and downwards all

mo25 · 21/09/2025 13:31

Very exciting news from me. I am a mere half a stone away from overweight!!

FattyBumBumNoMore · 21/09/2025 13:52

I want to celebrate those losses first - amazing!

i also want to ask if anyone has similar experiences to mine and whether I’m over thinking. I’m into month 8 now, 4stone down and still on 2.5mg throughout. No symptoms but I’ve noticed recently that I can go a couple of days before a poo. There’s no pain or discomfort, more that I just feel ever so slightly bloated and a full feeling (not suppressed, more I need to cleanse my body feeling, can’t describe it!!). I’ve bought some senna today to get things moving, but how long before a poo is too long if you’re not in pain? Apologies for over sharing my BM but only here I feel we can share this stuff 😉

52soon · 21/09/2025 13:58

I hit 2 stone loss on 1/9 in the last 3 weeks I’ve gained and lost the same 1lb and am still the same as I was on 1/9. I’m on 7.5 and due to start 3rd 7.5 pen on Wednesday. I’m starting to feel disillusioned after 22 weeks so today I have jabbed an extra 2.5 mg from a 5mg pen that I had unopened in fridge, I will try this for a month and request a10mg for next pen. I log calorics daily on an app and eat up to 1200 per day I’m only 5’1 so not much scope to go higher and generally lose 1lb per week.

The 15’s are calling my name, I just can’t get over the hill. Due an appointment with Diabetes nurse next month and hoping my levels are down not had them checked since I started in April.

PearlsPearl · 21/09/2025 14:09

@FattyBumBumNoMore my bowels grind to a halt on mj, I go about once a week 🫣 no pain or bloating or anything though, all fine, so it doesn’t bother me really.

However I know it’s not good for me, so I’ve now got movicol from the GP and will start taking that every day when I get home from my holidays to try and get things going more often.

I am so bad at drinking water too which doesn’t help. But I am trying SO hard recently, and eating dried apricots and prunes every day.

I was never regular (sorry if TMI), but definitely worse of since starting MJ. That said, I’m eating significantly less than I was before, so there is less to process…could that be your challenge too?

I need to drink more admittedly but I eat a ton of raspberries every week so they keep things moving every 3-4 days.

Oh wow! I've made it! There's a "99" on my scales this morning 🥳🎉. It may be followed by a ". 9" but that's beside the point! I'm under 100kg 😊

Well done, I dont do kilos but I remember how happy I was to be under 200lb

I take senna always if I don't go once a day. That was my normal before MJ so I figure that's what my body ought to do.
I'd never leave it any longer.

And if that caused diarrhoea, I'd take loperamide.
🤣

The 'normal' spectrum is 3 times a day to 3 times a week, so quite a wide range.

FattyBumBumNoMore · 21/09/2025 14:52

Oh I can see I’m not alone, thanks for sharing!! That’s actually made me feel a bit better. I’m good with water, always drink minimum of 2l and trying to be low carb so that really impacts my fruit intake sadly. I think I’ll try the senna and see how that works overnight 😉
I put on 1lb overnight and I swear that lb is all sitting in my bowel 😂

I think your comment about having less to process is so true. That really struck me when I started out.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 21/09/2025 15:30

I think I'm eating less fibre - with less carby food and soemtiems got the cba with cooking veg if I'm not hungry.

Its funny I think it was around 7.5 I started getting the runs after my doses. But I'm now back to being a bit blocked up!

Also. If I have pepto bismol for burps/nausea it blocks you up.. (which I age this week - where I dosed slightly too much instead of slightly under - doh.) I wish I was someone who didn't get the side effects!

I think I might take a movicol now...!

Billybingbong · 21/09/2025 16:55

@Blondeshavemorefun yes, they noticed. It was all very polite, the usual "you're looking well" comments until I didn't finish my plate, and declined the dessert, and my gob on a stick delightful cousin then shouted across the table "oi, Billy, you're not on them skinny jabs are you? Haha, didn't you know that's cheating!!". I didn't even grace the stupid witch with a reply, I just rolled my eyes and said a silent thank you that it will probs be another year before I have to see her again.

On a happy note, my scales this morning tell me I've now lost an elephants penis (IYKYK), I've been desperate to reach that milestone 🤣🤣

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/09/2025 20:31

Whoop for the elephants penis. Much converted

🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘

Hope you said no. I’m just eating mess via calorie counting

Your cousin does sound delightful, @Billybingbong! I have a similar aunt. Pretty certain that she knows that I am in MJ, asks me every time I see her, I smile sweetly and say just eating less and moving more (both of which are true). Don't understand why people think that it is their business frankly!

Well done on the elephant's penis. It's my favourite weight loss goal!

I had a NSV at the weekend. Went out for dinner with a friend. Slid into a couch space I normally wouldn't dare try and sit in. The guy at the table next to me had a huge rucksack that he put next to him, and was half on my lap. Before I would have thought that was what I deserved for being so fat, this time I asked him to move his bag. He seemed bewildered and said there was no room nearer him, and I said if you take it off my lap and put it on yours that would work 🤣 And he did. His girlfriend looked mortified.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 22/09/2025 07:54

I saw my dad and his recent wife yesterday. They're very approving and aks how I've done it - I just said "all the things". I don't really want to talk about it with them. If my mum finds out though I know theyll find out and I might tell her. They're all very difficult.

My dad and wife and loaded, entitled, superior and like looking down on my husband and I - (life didn't worn out so well for us) and just talk about her children all the time. "We were so worried about X and her new job". My dad's never even asked about mine and I'm struggling). Grrrr.

They also did that head tilt "so you feel better with it off"... Which is so hard to answer cos of course I do but it's that tons of "now you're finally acceptable isn't it easier..." arggggggg.

I did say I wasn't going to openly tell people but I also wasn't going to lie. But these people are tricky.

I think I brushed if off without wanting to talk about it. They weigh less than me...

TragicMuse · 22/09/2025 08:33

I have what feels like a small NSV. I’ve had a lovely weekend away. We walked a fair bit, I didn’t need to stop for little rests. I kept up and wasn’t out of breath. Now, I’m not fit. Not at all. But I kept up and that was good. I also ate what I wanted and we had some drinks. Not loads because my friend isn’t much of a drinker. But overall I have maintained. I really thought I’d have put 1-2lbs on again.

So I’m chuffed to bits!
