If they keep those prices I might consider a move, I'll ask you nearer the time though if you still have a discount code as I have enough to keep me til November.

Just out of curiosity, why aren't Medino on Monj? (Or am I just being dopey and can't see for looking?!)

Aren't they? They're quite a small company.
I'm not sure if Medino are on there, because I never look at Monj.
I was always very happy with Medino until this BS blew up.

I was getting a 15mg pen for £175 with my discount codes each month.

Just had a look, and I can't see Medino on Monj either.

I've emailed Monj to let them know.

Ooh and my Wegovy pen has just been delivered from CheqUp.

I'm going to start it in a few days, because I'd just finished my MJ pen anyway.

I'll report back, everyone. I've only got about 16lb to lose now.

I've now got a £50 code for CheqUp if anyone wants it.

Are Chequp any good? I would be grateful for a discount code

Anyway with the 8% discount, a 15mg pen would be about £237.

A 10mg pen would be £193.

(If anyone wants a 10% code for them, send me a PM.)

Thank you @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne. I will DM you after my pens run out.

SecretNameforMN · 28/08/2025 14:53

Right, so I have had my first 2.5 jab of MJ at 1pm today. It's now 3pm and I don't feel anything. If I was going to get a gastro side effect, when would I be feeling it?

SecretNameforMN · 28/08/2025 14:55

Got my first month from Zava. From this thread it seems people are changing suppliers in order to get the best price.

If we change suppliers, do we have to go through the application process all over again, supplying photos of body and scales etc?

SilenceInside · 28/08/2025 15:03

@SecretNameforMN the amount of Mounjaro in your system peaks anywhere from 8 to 72 hours after injecting. Often that’s when any side effects are noticed, if you get any.

You can get dose tracking apps which estimate the amount of medicaiton in your system, which can be useful for tracking against any side effects. Shotsy and Dose Diary are the two I know of, the free versions of both do enough without needing to pay for the premium versions.

SilenceInside · 28/08/2025 15:05

Oh, also, yes when you change supplier you need to fill out their forms and do photos/video weight verification again for them. A pain, but sometimes the discounts are worth it.

Motnight · 28/08/2025 15:05

Well done @SecretNameforMN 😊. As per @SilenceInside I use the free version of Shotsy.

I have never changed suppliers - but fairly certain that if you do you have to provide all the evidence requested again.

Lds1 · 28/08/2025 15:07

@SecretNameforMN yes you'll need to do all the new customers information each time you change suppliers, it's why I have stuck with 1 supplier until now (1 year). I couldn't be bothered with all the hassle of photos. I've only changed now as I'll need a supplier who will eventually support maintainance.

@SecretNameforMN I had very mild side effects on day 3.
Just felt a bit sick. I took a cyclizine and the nausea went away.

I also got constipated by day 5 and took some senna.

I've been lucky. Everything settled down very quickly.

I think in my third month, I got diarrhoea sometimes so I took loperamide. And one loperamide wasn't enough. Not for me it wasn't.

OP posts:
TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 28/08/2025 15:44

@SecretNameforMN I've used six different suppliers so far. 🤣

Yes, they ask for photos etc each time, but it has been worth it financially.

I did stick with Medino for ages though. They were almost the cheapest and I had loads of discount codes for them.

OP posts:
FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 28/08/2025 16:01

I saw your picture with Medino - and have clicked through to thend so fingers crossed I've got it at £209 - but then read to the end of your post after and saw you had a discount code! D'oh!

I don't know if it will come /be proccesed before the 1st as I'm a new member but its worth a try. None of the others would let me get that far.

I somehow doubt they will be that price after 1st September but you never know...

Thankyou :) :)
You say you've got Wegovy coming -I've missed a few steps - are you moving over to Wegovy now? I can't believe you've just got a sone left pretty much- that must feel amazing. I so hope I can still get to that point!!

Are others trying Wegovy? Presumably if we went to Wegovy and didn't get on with it we'd still have to go up the doses on Mounjaro... they havent mentioned starting equivalent doses the other way.

Good luck everyone xx

Autumnflowers2 · 28/08/2025 16:24

Two things to report today
Firstly I bought a new coat and some new jumpers, all in a size 20 ..which seems amazing to me ,as last year I was struggling to get a size 32 coat to zip up .this size 20 coat is a full length duvet coat with a long zip and it doesn't even pull across the stomach 😃.
Then I met a friend for coffee, who was a bit odd ,and basically said I'd lost enough weight ,and why was I not happy with what I had lost and why was I not stopping loosing any now ... basically saying I should be happy to stay this weight .
People are odd
Very bizarre

Autumnflowers2 · 28/08/2025 16:26

I think I'm definitely going to take the advice on the other thread that I got to wait until early October when the prices have settled down, then look for a supplier.i will wait and see who you all recommend on here 😃

OvertiredandConfused · 28/08/2025 17:41

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne you look great!

@SecretNameforMN Fingers crossed you may not have hideous side effects. I've been pretty lucky. A handful of episodes of diarrhoea that needed a couple of doses of loperamide (but no time off work) and occasional nausea. Worst point is the day after injecting so I use the shotsy app to predict and am very careful what I eat that day in particular - extra bland and small portions.

Today's news from me is that I seem to have pushed passed my plateau. Suppression is back and I'm 3.5lbs down in a week.

My private GP prescribed two 12.5mg last week but I now don't want to go up next month. Result in that they've just agreed to prescribe one 10mg pen at the old price! So I've got enough to get to the end of November. Depending how I feel after another month on 10mg I may need advice on getting a lower does from 12.5mg.

Struggling a bit with clothes (in a good way). A pair of jeans that I was surprised even fit me probably won't last the season. Work dresses and trousers from the spring are unwearable. I'm reluctant to spend much on clothes that I'll only be wearing for a few months but I need to look smart at work - I've got a pretty senior role with lots of external meetings. But it's a good problem to have.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 28/08/2025 18:03

Ooh its processed - yay!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 28/08/2025 18:23

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden I ordered Wegovy because it was only £130 for a 2.4mg pen with CheqUp.

I thought I'd try it, because if it works it'll cost a lot less. Also, there's no supply issue with it.

I can go back to MJ if the Wegovy doesn't work for me. I've got one full MJ pen and two more on the way from Chemist 4U.

The Wegovy was delivered today.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 28/08/2025 18:49

Can you go back to your equivalent dose on Mounjaro then without titrating back up? Will be interesting to see how it goes.

Kay2000 · 28/08/2025 18:54

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne I don’t understand why you’re trying Wegovy, when you have 3 pens in stock and only 16lb left to lose? My friend is switching to Wegovy but she’s only a few months in. I’m sticking with MJ, I have three pens in the fridge (Zava delivered my order from 15/8 today, for anyone waiting there is hope!) and hubby says we’ll find the extra money for me, I’m lucky. It still pisses me off that this has happened, it’s taken us from “lose weight slowly, the tortoise won the race” to “OMG I need to shift this weight within the next 6 months” which is very hard for us with a lot to lose. I’m sick and tired of seeing stories in the media with someone complaining about the price rises when they’re already halfway from their “obese” 12 st to 9st. Or scare stories about side effects. Or the comments under the articles from the great British public saying the usual ‘greedy/just need to eat less and move more’ - it’s depressing how many say that.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 28/08/2025 18:57

@Kay2000 Yes yet again its our demographic that's hit so much harder isn't it. I'm struggling with a lot of the narrative and even when I was lurking on the SheMed facebook groups a lot are "oh well lets just do wegovy" / doesn't really matter attitidue and I think the difference between trying to lose a couple of stone and literally quality of life/health/being able to live is HUGE.
