What are your weekend plans? I’ve got a fairly normal/quiet one which is good after the chaos of last weekend! We’re all quite exhausted this week.

Autumnflowers2 · 12/09/2025 05:18

Half way through Second week of using a longer needle to jab deeper .
Weight loss is moving again, after the stall of August.
Feeling full longer after meals ,when usually I was starving all the time .. literally from day one my stomach has rumbled day and night .
Now I do feel full.
I ate my OMAD yesterday at 5 pm .
It's 5 am and I still feel full
Amazing feeling..never had that before
It's a full content feeling in my stomach..really never had that on mj before.
I actually think mj has not been working properly for me ,the whole 10 months ,I've relied on willpower a lot ..but it did stop the head hunger which is why I stayed on it ,as head hunger for me was worse to cope with than hunger .
So now I feel mj is working in two ways ,where previously it only worked in one way .
So that's the update..hope I've not jinxed things and it all goes back to normal now ..

Over to BIL tomorrow for dinner tomorrow night. That will be interesting as I last saw them 5 and a bit stone ago. Not sure if they will comment, they are lovely people and may consider it rude to say anything.

Yes, I am. I left 12 days between my last 2 doses, and 10 days before that. I still felt the same suppression and still lost weight. I know it isn’t recommended, and will mean I end up using my own way beyond the 30 days but I’m ok with that, I need to find a way to keep it affordable.

I am as well but only by a day. I'm on 15 mg. Wondering whether to experiment with micro dosing too.

That will be interesting @GnomeDePlume. Whatever happens I hope that you don't feel uncomfortable as a result!

I have lost nearly 7 stone and the number of people who have directly commented on my weight loss apart from very close family can be counted on one hand!

Glad you're feeling a bit better @PearlsPearl.

My hubbie, me and my oldest son all have birthdays in September (mine on Sunday!) so all of us (3 adult-ish kids) are heading to Chester tonight, for a rock pub karaoke night! Should be hilarious.

Annoyingly have gained 2lbs overnight. Such is the rollercoaster.

afaloren · 12/09/2025 08:57

1lb off this week which I’m amazed by considering the weekend I had. Very pleased, especially as this brings me to 🥁 🥁 🥁 NINE STONE DOWN from my heaviest weight. I am just two pounds away from another milestone which I hope I’ll hit in the next couple of weeks. Onwards and downwards!

I'm really interested in what you're saying @Autumnflowers2 about the longer needle.

I honestly don't think it's made a difference to me, but obviously we're all different, and I'm really glad it's helping you.

They also saw me lose more than this on Lighter Life then gain it all back so will possibly just think 'here she goes again'!

They are genuinely lovely people and blessed with tact and diplomacy so there will be no feeling uncomfortable.

Week 62 weigh in.

SW: 139kg (21st 12 lbs)
CW: 78kg (12st 3lbs), was 79.1kg (12st 6lbs)
GW: 73kg (11st 7lbs) sixth interim goal

Current pen: 10mg, 18 weeks on this dose.

So it's been a couple of weeks since I last properly did a weigh in, and I have stayed the same at 78kg. It's been 4 weeks at this weight, which counts as a plateau now I guess. I'm not surprised and I'm not too disappointed about it, but I know I need to get myself into gear and kick some weight loss butt this week if I want to see the scales shift down again. I will be tracking calories this week, which I don't normally do, but I think that now my BMI is down to 28, I need to be much more focussed on what I'm doing as there is less room for error. My TDEE is about 1900 cals now, so I need to be at 1400 or less for weight loss. When I started, my TDEE was around 2300 which meant it was not difficult to be in a calorie deficit without really thinking much about it.

I'm also going to increase my steps, and make sure I do at least 3 runs this week. I still want to do a park run, so need to be regularly running 5km in a reasonable time.

Fffreeeeezing · 12/09/2025 11:15

Week 26 WI today so my 6mth MJversary!

Slightly disappointed by a 2lb loss which is the 2lb I gained last week, it felt like it would be more.
So at the 6month mark I am 5st 1lb down.
BMI started off at 59.7 and is now 47.9.
Aiming for a 100lb loss (29lb to go) by Christmas which seems possible.

Maybe by Christmas I might have actually found some clothes to buy that I actually like, I can't find ANYTHING I like, have tried M&S, John Lewis, Next, Sainsburys, Tesco and nothing, seems I'm really picky (or the offerings genuinely are too frilly/fussy/dirgy coloured/ugly!) It's not an emergency yet though so I'll keep searching! When I'm done I'm going to find a stylist and buy a whole new wardrobe, maybe a trip to London, my town has a Seasalt, Fatface and White Stuff, and that is it and I'm not enamoured with any of them, I live in a County that along with no motorways has no decent shops....... maybe those 2 things are connected 🤔

TragicMuse · 12/09/2025 11:23

I’m finding you all very inspiring! I’m feeling good, but seeing those ahead of me really encourages me!!

I have so much to do this weekend** but I really want to sort out some clothes.

The jeans I bought a few weeks ago which were snug but fine? Too big! My wardrobe and drawers are packed with things I can’t wear because they don’t fit. Meanwhile I have bags everywhere with things I can wear or am close to fitting but can’t put away, and I really want to see my bedroom floor again. Not that it’s pretty carpet or anything, I just keep losing my slippers under heaps of things And it’s cluttering my floor. And my brain.

**lots of reading, in prep for being ‘in conversation with’ at a literary festival in a few weeks. I have 4 writers to do, it’s a lot of reading!!

GnomeDePlume · 12/09/2025 11:30

@Fffreeeeezing it was not finding clothes I liked which got me into sewing.

I'm also someone who doesn't like frills etc. I am dreading the thought that when I reach goal weight that I will have some sort of styling type thing and discover
that I look my best styled as Danny La Rue in drag.

If I was even remotely creative enough to make clothes I would but to say I am cackhanded is being kind!

I haven't worked myself up to 5k yet , bbut it's coming! 😌

52soon · 12/09/2025 17:31

Just finished my 5th pen (only got one extra dose by hard twist) loss is slow and steady 2st down but my shape is changing. I’ve just got my winter clothes down from loft a lot of 22-24 are hanging off me so they’ve gone in charity bag the rest are all looser than last year but still look ok, I’ve added 3 new size 20 F&F blouses and a size 20 pair of black trousers I ordered last year for my mum that were too long for her and didn’t go anywhere near me but I didn’t send back, they now fit me perfectly and all my other black trousers look like clown trousers.
I can’t bring myself to get rid of the summer clothes that are too big, they’ve gone back in the loft, in case I have to come off jab and end up back where I started. I take for diabetes so hopefully I can stay on jab for a good while yet, I’ve not had bloods done since started jabs so will be interesting to see next month what my levels are.

Mum2Fergus · 13/09/2025 09:39

SW (15 Feb 25): 19st 9lbs / BMI 44.4 (obese class 3)
CW: 15st 6lbs / BMI 34.9 (obese class 1)
GW: healthy BMI (between 18.5 and 24.9 (8.3st-11st) for my height) - 4st 6lbs to go to get to top of healthy range.

Wk29 weigh in this morning (wk17 on 5mgs) … stayed same. Ok with that…but definitely moving up a dose at next order. Food noise starting to creep in and definitely snacking more than I was - so time to shift it up.

I’ve lost 21% of my starting weight and averaging 2lbs loss per week over the 29 weeks.

Wks 1-4 (2.5mg): -17lbs
Wks 5-8 (2.5mg): -6lbs
Wks 9-12 (2.5mg): -11lbs
Wks 13-16 (5mg): -7lbs
Wks 17-20 (5mg): - 4lbs
Wks 21-24 (5mg): - 7lbs
Wks 25 - 28 (5mg): -7lbs
Wk 29 (5mg): 0
Total loss: 59lbs
