Medino is £299 for a 15mg pen.
I've got a 10% discount if you'd like it, which will bring it down to £269.

They then give you an 8% discount every month, so it's always cheaper.

If you're thinking of Wegovy, CheqUp is charging £160 for a 2.4mg pen and I've got a £50 discount for that, too.
So it would be £110.

I have started wearing clothes from the under-bed storage!

Today a top and a skirt (been waiting ages for the skirt to fit), just changed into some jeans (20, but a bit fally-downy) and a different top (18). These are both fairly ancient. It’s making me very happy!

If you look on Vinted at stuff by a brand called Disturbia you might like it @Autumnflowers2 - not the cheapest even second hand, but the quality is good and I've bought a few dresses from them - it's a sort of Grown up Goth look!

Omg .. totally love it ..
Thankyou ,how did I not know this existed 😍😍😍😍😍

Totally outing myself here
But I got married in a black goth lace skater dress and black flower print dms .
I'm so near to getting back in that size 18 wedding dress I can nearly feel how it felt to wear 😍

Love it! I'm a bit on the dark side myself, used to live in my Docs and frocks. Feels nice for the first time in years to be getting clothes I like rather than ones that fit.

Doggymummar · 10/09/2025 19:20

I was a goth, I married a punk first time round but it was 1991 so I had a massive princess Diana dress. Second time I was married in a red goth dress, in Lapland with a red riding hood cloak and Calvin kline docs. It was amazing 😻

I'm alternative but never been able to buy actual alternative clothes that fitted as always been too big. I've mainly lived in baggy jeans and band t-shirts. I know disturbia but not sure on their sizing so not tried ordering anything yet.

I got a size 18 dress recently and it was ok, slightly tight across the chest but not too bad!

I am thinking of trying Numan for my next pen, as the next cheapest I can see on Monj is £195. I assume it's easy to immediately cancel so that they don't charge you the full £329 for 10mg the following month? Which makes me wonder how the 10mg can be £169, as surely it's £229 with £100 off??

Yes on the app there is an easy located ‘pause’ treatment option and cancle too.
with referral code 10mg is normally £269 is reduced to £169. Once signed up you can give others a referral code to get £100 off your next pen (same for them).
let me know (pm) if want my code.
the sign up and sorting of first pen has been straight forward. The app is intuitive with clear labelling how to pause treatment/cancle but I don’t have experience of this yet. Once I see someone has used my referral code to reduce my next pen price I will leave it open, if they don’t use it in the next week I will pause my treatment to avoid it being dispensed at full price

Just catchinf up in one of my nighttime wake-ups (i know going on my phone doesnt help but i also get so fed up of kwwp waking!!)

Love reading about ghe clothing ideas and the funky wedding dress ideas. I dont think I ever got a true sense of what i like to wear - we struggled financially even more than now when i was youngwr and worriwd avout buying anything, and then started putting on weight so changing size all the time. I ended up emvracing the seasalt dress and leggings look more recently - but again expensive so not many dresses and it became a uniform of sorts. (Funniky enough thsy hang so much better now nearly 6 stone lighter).

Im at what feels a real innvwtween stage as my stomach is currently so round i dont want to buy anytging kike jeans yet so have bought leggings in a couple of sjzes smaller, and 2 nice seasalt dresses and 2 tresspass dresses in summer that im back wearing with leggings as the termperature drops...

It will be amazing eventually to literally go into a shop and see what i like and it to fit. Ive not really had that in over 20 years. Having said that everything feels tight financially with increased MJ costs.

In other news I'm so enjoying the exercise programme im doing. And its mamkng me so aware that I can movw much more freely now. Even soms of the stretches /yoga type moves i coukdnt do a year ago as my stomach waa just physically in the way and I'd struggle to get off the floor!

We record short videos as part of it to check form and from the start i decided to go doe it and actively not let the criticak thoughts come in.... But yesterday i watched mine back and rhoight how differenr the shape of the person moving is to where I have been! Yes im still "obese" but i can move ans my silhouette is more person-shaped than it was!

Sorry this is all middle of the night waffle!

I love reading and cathing up with everyone even if im a couple ofndays late to it all sometimes x

Is it ok to mention on here
I started an alternative clothing/ hair / tattoo thread on style and beauty.
It was such fun finding people on here who like the same style as me ,I wanted to chat more
But didn't want to derail this thread .
I hope me mentioning it here is ok

GnomeDePlume · 11/09/2025 07:02

@Autumnflowers2 thank you, I shall go and look.

Weigh in number 49
SW 21st 9lb (BMI 44.7)
CW 15st 2lb (BMI 31.0)
GW 12st 9lb (BMI 25.9)
0lb down this week
Losses so far; 4, 1, 5, 1, 3, 4, 2, 2, 2, 4, 1, +3, 5, 1, 3, 2, 4, 3, 1, 1, 3, 1, 1, 3, 3, 1, 1, 0, 2, 3, 1, 2, 2, 0, 1, 3, 1, 1, 2, 3, 1, 3, 1, 0, 1, 1, 2, 2, 0
Total loss 91lbs / 6st 7lb

I'm a daily weigher and my weights have been crazy this week, up and down by as much as 4lb. I'm off work for 2 weeks whilst my youngest does half days to start school and I've been absolutely ravenous some days. I'm normally ready for my meals but this week my stomach has been rumbling constantly. I don't tend to have periods as I'm on the POP but it must be hormonal as nothing else has changed.

GnomeDePlume · 11/09/2025 08:02

Weigh in and jab day.

SW 137kg BMI 53.5
CW 104kg BMI 40.6
GW 63kg BMI 24.6

16 stone 5lbs in old money, 5 stone 2.75lbs off. Still an awful long way to go. 63kg is just under 10 stone. A place I haven't visited since my early teens. That will mean losing another 6 and a half stone.

I'm now approaching the amount of weight I lost while doing Lighter Life (7 stone). Unfortunately I gained all that back very quickly then added another 3 or 4 stone.

The clothes thing is difficult. I went through some more of my clothes and picked out about half a dozen shirts I had made for myself which are now far too large. The fabric wont go to waste as I will re-use it at some point.

The thing now is that the style I was wearing no longer suits me. So it isnt going to be a case of making the same thing again but smaller. Not sure that a try on session at John Lewis is going to work yet, I'm still far too big (size 26).

eibbed999 · 11/09/2025 08:35

I feel you on the 'uniform', @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden - I was the same. In fact I bought a couple more of the stretchy Yours dresses/tops with pockets I've worn with leggings for years from Vinted, just in smaller sizes! I think it's a comfort thing as much as anything. But my belly is also still huge, it's like everything I've lost has just migrated south into a huge stomach blob. I'd love to be looking at jeans, and I would probably fit into some at this stage, but I've vowed to myself I won't, because I know they'll make me feel bad - it's like I have an arse at the front of my body and jeans just accentuate it!

On the exercise front, I've always done a lot of yoga, and subscribe to Yoga with Adriene. I'm finding it much easier these days, but even with the weight loss, the belly gets in the way and in certain positions I almost suffocate myself with my own boobs! But on her channel there is an instructor called Alia who is a very large, very curvy lady, and she does sessions for 'curvy girls' that are tailored for bigger bodies. It's very refreshing!

Lds1 · 11/09/2025 09:00

Weigh in for me too today. Lost 1.5kg/3 lb and 4.9 oz. Hit a couple of small targets today 🙂 next target 10st loss.

Sw: 142.8kg / 22 stone, 6 lb and 13.1 oz
CW: 81.1kg / 12 stone, 10 lb and 12.7 oz reached the 12s!!
Total loss: 61.7kg / 9 stone, 10 lb and 0.4 oz reached 9.5 stone lost!!
BMI: 50.8 now 28.9
To get to healthy: 11kg / 1 stone, 10 lb and 4 oz
To get to target: 21.1kg / 3 stone, 4 lb and 8.3 oz.

GnomeDePlume · 11/09/2025 09:04

That is a stunning weightloss @Lds1 .

Now you are getting closer to it, does your target weight feel realistic?

Lds1 · 11/09/2025 09:15

@GnomeDePlume thank you 🙂

I feel the target is realistic although when it gets closer, I don't know how I know what's skin and what's fat.

If I had lots of money and time I'd definitely be booking some kind of surgery to tidy everything up. I tried on some lovely skirts but the tummy overhang just still made it look awful. I'd go in order of arms, tummy and then boobs.

Reginaphalangeeeee · 11/09/2025 09:35

Wow @Lds1you are amazing!!! Congratulations on positive progress.
i started at 136kg and aiming for 80kg. I am currently 104kg but inspired by you as this is my target & I am 9 months in. I will still be overweight at 80kg weight but I am worried about setting the bar too low. Muscle strength, skin and my face being the concern but also my metabolism and calorie amount making it harder to maintain.

I expect to have skin aplenty but I suppose there will be a stage you hit where more weight loss really affects the appears of skin dramatically. Like you said, what’s fat and what’s skin.
I have an apron tummy and aged 43 I have accepted it won’t go (I won’t have surgery). You mentioned skirts, have you found a way to improve appearance or do you think more weight loss will help it.
It is hard to predict what our future selves will look like and I keep reminding myself, it won’t be the same as the last time I weighed that.
I try to focus on how much better I look than the negatives & want to stay out of the critical opinions. There will come a point where people say ‘you’ve lost too much weight’ often meaning your face looks drawn and old and I want to protect myself from that aspect too.
