I would love to be able to cross my legs, and wear Lucy and Yak clothes without looking like a blob. They're just opening a store in Edinburgh which I'm excited about as I love their style!

Off to the wedding in a minute. 7 hour train journey 😢for someone phobic of public transport. I haven't managed a train in at least a decade but we couldn't cope with a 10 hour drive plus stopping to charge the car. If it wasn't my brother's wedding I wouldn't go! So I just need to pull up my big girl pants, take my diazepam and go for it! 😶

No way! I’m in Edinburgh so will be checking out new store, thanks for sharing!x

PositiveAttitude · 06/09/2025 12:09

Enjoy the wedding @PearlsPearl. You will look amazing.

Yay!!! I have done a sneaky mid week weigh in and the number I saw started with an 18!!!!

Ooh how exciting!

I'm almost seeing the scales start with an 11. I can't wait. It's been nearly 20 years since my scales started with an 11.

I am wanting Lucy and Yaks when I would no longer look pregnant in them! I am also wanting jeans. I've lived in leggings, which I love for so long!

Yesterday I had a woosh after a period (and I know is likely to go up again for a bit before levelling/going down) but i saw a number beginning with 15!!!! I'm 15 13 and at 15 11 will be 6stone lost. I've lsot quite a bit since going up to 10 so suspect I'll sit here for a while now but I'm not complaining 😁.
I'm still in awe sometimes on this journey looking back to how hopeless everything has felt for so long. Each cycle of counselling and exercise/weight ideas and knowing it's a bit futile. Losing mobility. And now this year life is so so different.

I'm still worried about money. But I'm determined to get down to goal weight before trying wegovy so I have some slack if it takes a while to work. And I know as my weight loss allows down this could take a while.

Also! I have little muscles!!! I've been sedentary a long time and I started a fitness programme a few months ago and I can feel muscle in my upper arm and biceps. It will still look like flab to anyone looking but I can feel it go hard when I move the arm so something is happening!!

I'm so excited about having a fitter body. I know I will have a lot of excess skin... But I will be fit inside it 😁.

Hi everyone, I love this thread and all your results thrill and inspire me. Well done all of you.
Had a little "victory" today.... my BMI is no longer in the 50s! It's now 49.9 Grin
Started on 23rd July at BMI 53.4 (23st10lb) and am now at 22st exactly. So, soon to be in the 21s, too!
Only you lot truly understand, and I'm grateful for it!
Keep up the good work!

eibbed999 · 06/09/2025 14:06

Fit inside is what counts @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden - well done in the big loss and the little muscles!

Fantastic,so happy for you

Lds1 · 06/09/2025 14:47

I'm hoping for the number 12 on the scales this week.

Those of you who make clothes, is it possible to change a neckline on a dress? I have dresses which fit but they are round neck so come high up, I think a v neck might be better as I'm not getting smaller in the chest and I think it might be beginning look a bit ridiculous!

TragicMuse · 06/09/2025 15:41

It’s very possible @Lds1!

Partly depends on what you have and what you want, but round neck to a v is doable…

Lds1 · 06/09/2025 15:50

Round neck to v neck is what I would like, maybe I'll try find an alteration place , I don't think using good clothes is the place for me to start from!

Urrgh, lower abdominal pain and vomiting was so bad overnight I ended up calling NHS 111 and being sent to the local community hospital to be checked over. Turns out it's just constipation (which is a relief) 😳 I thought by taking Psyllium husks I was on top of it, but obviously not.

What did they recommend?

I’m joining the overweight club!! Weighed today as we’re off to France for a week tonight (uh oh - the land of croissants bread and cheese) and my bmi is 29.8! I have never not been obese, it’s a weird feeling losing almost 20 bmi points.

re jeans and leggings, I love wearing jeans but I love wearing leggings more, especially support leggings, they stop my jiggly thighs from jiggling!

hope Pearl is having a wonderful time!
have a great week everyone and I’ll see you all when I’m back

What did they recommend?

Prescribed Laxido sachets and senna tablets to take at night. Said I could take paracetamol and Buscopan. Still not quite sure the best way to manage it going forward. Don't want this too often as it's horrendously painful.

TragicMuse · 06/09/2025 17:20

Have a great time @Iwouldratherbesinging and enjoy the cheese!

Hope you’re ok @Quitepossibly

I’ve been out today. Walked to a get-together I would usually drive to. Walked part of the way home, met the family to drive into town. Mooched around town (spent money on beauty!). Then decided to walk home. I didn’t need to stop. Or have a sit down. Or get out of breath. Or get scarlet in the face. I just…walked. Like a normal person.

Omg, it feels SO GOOD! So bloody normal. We used to walk everywhere and I’m resolved to try and keep doing it more often.

Tomorrow I’m going to check the weather forecast and maybe get my bike out. I used to cycle to work, before covid. I could start that again perhaps…

I am enjoying my sit down after earning it!!

I take senna as soon as I don't have a BM. I never leave it more than a day.

It doesn't happen very often though.
Do try to increase your fluids and eat plenty of fibre. But don't let constipation build up because it's horrible.

I did my whole day on a banana which was probably not entirely advised! OTOH, I have plenty of calories for a baked potato and tuna mayo. So really I’m winning at life. And food!!

Ooh sympathy it’s horrible isn’t it?
I experienced this on Thursday for the first times and I actually cried!

fortunately Buscopan worked well for me…I hope you’re feeling better soon!

Quitepossibly · 06/09/2025 22:06

Thanks for the sympathy. It's so bloody painful, never experienced constipation like it. Any position where my thighs touch my tummy (sitting on a low chair / the loo, bending down, curling up in bed ) is so painful it makes me feel faint and sick. I've cried... lots... and I'm usually pretty stoic!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 06/09/2025 22:15

@Quitepossibly have you tried glycerine suppositories?
You probably need to attack this from the other end, as well as the senna.

Or get one of these:

Oh bless you @Quitepossibly - hope you feel better soon. I've not had it on MJ thankfully, but I had some surgeries last year and the codeine really did a number on me. So painful and distressing.

eibbed999 · 06/09/2025 23:30

So, this is a photo that I took for you all at the pub tonight - a VERY small toilet cubicle that is usually my arch nemesis! There is now a gap between me and the door!!!!!! I hope I never stop getting excited about fitting in a toilet cubicle...

eibbed999 · 06/09/2025 23:33

Dang, the pic didn't attach...
