@Thelittlestranger I've always believed that if you already have one dog, you get all the hassle anyway, so might as well have 2 😀

BreezyPeer · 24/08/2025 10:20

Morning losers! 🌄
@Zempy hope your dose is available to order before the crazy price rises come in. I am laughing inside at the thought of door frames up and down the country having measuring tapes stuck to them! 😂
A weekend doing nothing sounds lovely 😍 I love that once in a while
@PenelopePoweringOn
The epic posts certainly won't last when I'm back at work so enjoying the engagement now. The airfryer is now on the kitchen side (lots of reorganisation to fit it in near a socket but still not been used. Looks great though 👌 😍 😂
Decluttering is so cathartic. Its strange when you find things you carefully saved and now (after years!) you eventually throw away. I had loads of 'brilliant and beautiful boxes' and they are all in the recycling bin now.
Hope the viewings go well! And I will pray to the movicol gods for you 🙏
@Thelittlestranger enjoy the holiday! Walking will definitely counteract the gin 😉
@myladyjane hope you are feeling better soon. Napping and yoga is a perfect combination for recovery 😀
I only recently had my colours done and now I am obsessed with 'cool' tones and 'jewel shades' I am surprised when I put things on in my colours how good it looks! It feels a bit like witchcraft 🧙‍♀️
@HeidiLite what an interesting life you have had! Growing up in the Soviet Union and now here with us all on MN!
I understand the urge to keep things 'just in case' but it really hasn't served me well so I am happy to let things go now (mostly!)
The autumn is definitely coming! The days are getting shorter here which is rude considering its still August!! I have been buying new cardigans in my 'colours' rather than more fitted things as I do want to try to lose a bit more.
@hunkydory54 that's a fabulous sounding holiday! I'd love to go to Guernsey. Another place to put on my list!
@mince3point14159265 it's good when other people's annoying hobbies have positive side effects like a road trip home from France 🇫🇷!
At this stage in your journey any loss is worth celebrating 🍾 😊
@Jins I love the Peak District, used to go there quite often.
We are going to a summer fayre today, I will definitely be buying preserves there. This fayre is sort of famous for it locally!
That is a beautiful view!
@2025istheyeari great job on counting calories when on holiday. I never manage it😅 Fish and chips by the seaside is compulsory 🐟 🍟
Do have another go at the bonus dose. There are videos on YouTube if you like a visual reference. I have always used it so I guess I've got used to it now.
@DGonMJ a hard day relaxing is exactly what you need!
@BlueLimes I love a mocktail and anything with fruit is one of your 5 a day!! Enjoy your holiday
@MJalltheway I have one DS and I feel you right now. GCSES - going to college, sports scholarship, first festival, he's just growing up so fast! It's wonderful but I miss the little boy he used to be 😢

Another lovely slow day here planned. Spending time with my parents and properly enjoying the lovely small town I live in. Summer Fayre here I come!
Have a brilliant day losers!! Xxx

DGonMJ · 24/08/2025 10:39

BlueLimes · 24/08/2025 01:23

Hello all, mid way through holiday - hard to keep up with you chatty bunch.
I’m delaying my next jab, felt so washed out at the start of the holiday, definitely been eating less, but having 1 or 2 cocktails per day 😳
will take 10mg 4 days late rather than 15. Figure I’ve autumn to make up for the drinks.

any info on new prices?

Let’s keep going 😊

Enjoy those cocktails @BlueLimes 🍹

I’ve seen the Swift September prices - attached. They’re one of the few pharmacies that accept maintenance at 21 BMI, so depending on how my Oushk orders go and their September prices I may switch to Swift for their 2.5 or 5 pens.

January Starters - Thread 11!
myladyjane · 24/08/2025 10:45

@HeidiLite I love a find like that - you know they work
for you! Dd got jeans for £4 the other day that she’s tried on in the shop the week before and couldn’t afford.

@BreezyPeer I love the posts! Re air fryer, we use ours to death after initially being sceptical. Not gonna lie, a fair bit of beige does go in for dh but I do a lot of fish in it (only me that eats it). Dd2 who needs a bit of encouragement to cook for herself) does fajitas in it - shove chicken pieces, peppers, onion, glug of olive oil and a ton of seasonings in there, hit the chicken pre set, stir it once and boom.

I feel a bit better today. Pepto has settled my mj side effects but virus is making me dizzy and tired. My mate asked me how it felt to be laid low by a bug passed on to me from teen canoodling (dd2s new bf is patient zero).

DGonMJ · 24/08/2025 10:52

Jab day today. No scales to weigh here, but given the suppression I’ve felt this week I don’t ‘feel’ heavier. Did 34 instead of 36 clicks on a 5mg pen which is 2.83mg. Hoping it won’t ‘unleash’ the hunger!

PenelopePoweringOn · 24/08/2025 10:52

That's not too bad price wise is it @DGonMJ .

I must get into Vinted, especially given that my income will be doing the opposite of 0-60 very soon.

Glad you're feeling better @myladyjane . Everytime someone talks about an air fryer I google them and look and then persuade myself I don't need one.

Must get on, I've just watched the first episode of King and Conqueror instead of making a start in the kitchen 😂. Audible, bin bags, charity shop boxes here I come.

DGonMJ · 24/08/2025 10:53

@PenelopePoweringOn its actually cheaper than I was paying when I started with Juniper.

PenelopePoweringOn · 24/08/2025 10:56

So sorry @BreezyPeer somehow I missed your epic post 😅enjoy your day and buying jam at the summer fayre!

Zempy · 24/08/2025 11:06

I just bought two 15mg pens on Oushk. Well, I think I did. Let’s see if the order progresses into a delivery. I am only on a 10mg dose but am happy to extend pen life and buy bigger doses. I never store outside of the fridge.

I have STS this week which is frustrating but I think I might have to accept this is it. I would prefer to lose a few more pounds from my stupid G Cup bust and my still flabby stomach, but it seems 9:3 is where my sixty year old 5 ft 4 body is happy.

I am enjoying Vinting this weekend. All my blazers look ridiculous on me so have ordered some new size 12 ones. Selling all the clothes that flap around me now.

Enjoy the sunshine everyone 😊

myladyjane · 24/08/2025 11:08

@PenelopePoweringOn not i’m not stopping you but was it good? Am planning to watch tonight as it’s a period I have interest in and I do have a thing for Jamie Lannister.

those swift dr prices look ok. I need to look into switching - if I do ever get my iq dr order I am definitely not using them again as the comms have been dreadful and if I don’t I need to sort something out sharpish…

right. Washing out and off to my mums

PenelopePoweringOn · 24/08/2025 12:03

I liked it, but I’m going to watch it again @myladyjane , I was reading the Times and filing some companies house stuff at the same time and didn’t pay it enough attention. Typical me 🤣 . DC2 will like it so we’ll watch an episode together later on tonight.

I’ve made a start 🏆, when I move house I expect I’ll replace whatever kitchen I move in to.* *I won’t be installing any of those stupid corner cupboards where the far end is so far away that you can’t reach it without dislocating your shoulder.

cloudjumper · 24/08/2025 14:03

Hi all! I’ve just ordered my next pen - 10mg from Pharmacy2U. I’m hoping it’ll get approved in time (still have the golden dose from my current pen to tie me over next week).
im on holiday at my mum’s this week, and I put on 1kg - I’m blaming the different scales 🫣

I’ve been doing a lot of Vinted recently, both buying and selling. Love it! Currently trying to establish a capsule wardrobe and getting rid of lots of stuff that doesn’t fit anymore. I had a massive wardrobe clear out recently, when I realised that although my clothes fit me again now, most of them are literally ancient.
I desperately need new bras - any recommendations?!?

PenelopePoweringOn · 24/08/2025 14:17

I hope you get it @cloudjumper , I’ve toyed with ordering another pen this weekend, not sure what to do tbh. I haven’t bought bras yet but mine are definitely too big. I’ll just go to my local dept store again, are you looking for someone to fit one?

I measured my waist last night, only bit that’s had a tape measure on it tbh. 5” smaller than in February (when I first measured).

Well, I’ve pretty much got rid of everything I don’t want in my kitchen 🥇😅. Chuffed tbh, I was ruthless. The only thing I’ve kept that I don’t really think I want is my le creuset stuff. When I told DC2 that I didn’t want it she was 😱😱😱. They were used endlessly, but I only use them now and then these days (since I stopped batch cooking). I’ll keep them for now I guess but they do take up a ton of room.

I think I’ll switch off now and read my book.

2025istheyeari · 24/08/2025 17:50

Only had chance to quickly skim but those prices are really reasonable @DGonMJ thanks for sharing, I hadn’t heard of them. Med Express ones seem crazy expensive don’t they.

Glad you got your order in @Zempy. I’m hoping my Oushk ones will arrive next month!

Well done on the kitchen @PenelopePoweringOn 👏.

Thanks@BreezyPeer I’ll have a watch, god knows what I did! Hope the fayre was good, your town sounds fab!

@myladyjane glad the stomach has settled a bit but the canoodling bug (🤣) doesn’t sound pleasant a, hope you’re having another rest day and feel better.

@HeidiLite what a fab Vinted find!

PenelopePoweringOn · 24/08/2025 18:10

I've just read the other thread on here, apparently the additional dose is going to be removed from the pen. The manufacturer has changed the spec - so no more golden dose.

HeidiLite · 24/08/2025 18:41

@PenelopePoweringOn Vinted does household goods nowadays as well. Le Creuset should sell in a second!

PenelopePoweringOn · 24/08/2025 18:52

Does it @HeidiLite ? I registered with my apple ID and there was an issue with it so I had to delete it in settings and haven't got round to rejoining.

I've got about 8 LeC things, they weigh a ton though, do people really post them? I was going to pack them in a box in the garage for now not that I can get anything else in the garage.

DGonMJ · 24/08/2025 19:34

@PenelopePoweringOn not wanting to hinder your decluttering, you need to save the LeC to pass onto the DC. It’s currently v trendy with millennials.

Also read that the pens are changing to remove the bonus dose 😢 makes me even more likely to get a 5mg for a 2.5mg dose.

So monj have a Sep pricing list now which is growing as more pharmacies have negotiated their prices: https://monj.co.uk/september-mounjaro-price-list/

Other places I could go to for maintenance with a BMI of 21 are Pharmacy Express (lowest 5mg at £165) and Medicine Marketplace (lowest 2.5mg at £137). Just waiting for Lotus, Medicspot and Pharmulous prices now. Again all of these prices are still lower than I was prepared to pay when I started my journey back in January - having forked out £189 for my first 2.5mg pen and expecting to go up to £250. But aware I’ve been lucky to have not needed anything stronger than a 5mg dose.

myladyjane · 24/08/2025 19:41

@PenelopePoweringOn dd has sold ice skates. So people do heavy stuff although that is pretty hefty.

i just read the stuff about the bonus dose but i am trying to tune it out a bit. I’m still in my iq dr limbo so that’s my immediate concern then I’ll worry about the bonus dose next. my little brain can’t do too much in one go!

I shopped my wardrobe with dd this afternoon. It was good - we were forensic about gaps and I have a ‘need’ and a ‘nice to have’. Slight disagreement about where new trainers fitted on that. We had a Pinterest colour chart up, she made me get rid of bits which looked tatty. I don’t need to replace loads and loads now. Mostly work trousers, new casual coat and boots then some t shirts and joggers. I feel prepared if not fully equipped.

CurlsandCurves · 24/08/2025 19:50

@DGonMJ those Swift prices aren’t too bad, are they? The updated monj price list is easing my mind a bit as the pharmacies are releasing their new prices. It’s not as bad as I initially thought it would be.

Im still waiting on another 10mg pen from medexpress. But I only ordered it on the 19th so I’ll be patient.

@PenelopePoweringOn i read that about the golden dose too, plus lots of debate about how true it is re needing enough fluid to prime with.

My first week on 10mg and my first big night out. Feeling it today! Was totally worth it though, our town held a 1980s weekend with all the pubs, bars and restaurants getting involved, everyone wearing 80s clothes, retro food and cocktails. It was fantastic!

Had a weird experience today. Went into our nearest city, where I’ve not been for ages. Shopping at a size 20/22 was never much fun, especially when most don’t stock their plus size ranges in store. Today I caught myself in mirrors, windows etc and thought I looked ‘normal’ . I walked into shops and knew I could fit into stuff. Yes I’m still a size 18 and have a way to go, but I felt like how I look is matching how I feel inside.

Does that make sense?

PenelopePoweringOn · 24/08/2025 20:00

@DGonMJ that's a good idea, I can send LeC to uni with them both 😂. I am lazy when it comes to selling things, often take the 'it doesnt owe me anything' view to avoid selling stuff and give stuff away. I give most household stuff to a local charity that has cheap rooms for people who need them - sort of like a YMCA but not.

@myladyjane wow, but you've made me address all the skis, ski boots, helmets and other clobber I need to get rid of in my head.

@CurlsandCurves well done you! I totally get it, my local dept store has a Hobbs franchise (work clothes staple for me). Well, they only stock to a 16. When I asked about a bigger size one day they advised that 'they don't stock size above a 16 as it would limit the range they could offer other customers'. Made me feel absolutely fabulous. Everything is just so much easier having lost weight.

I'm not worried about the pricing now I can see where it is heading.

HeidiLite · 24/08/2025 20:22

I was considering buying a 15 kilo dumbbell from Vinted yesterday and postage wasn't even that bad, so a Creuset should be totally doable.

BreezyPeer · 25/08/2025 07:22

Morning losers 🌄
For anyone with a Bank Holiday - enjoy! We are off to the pub later for lunch to celebrate DS's GCSES! Xxx

PenelopePoweringOn · 25/08/2025 08:27

Morning @BreezyPeer and fellow losers. Enjoy the pub @BreezyPeer .

Well, I have gained this morning on my daily weigh in, I'll carry on taking movicol 😑.

Beautiful day here, I've driven DC2 to work and have another day of decluttering planned. Might meet a friend for coffee later on if we can co-ordinate it but otherwise another quiet day planned. I need to do a few things in the garden and do a bit of reading for an interview that's coming up next week.

Bliss.
