Also @CurlsandCurves and @mince3point14159265 what amazing results. You rock

Jins · 26/08/2025 18:29

Interesting variation on prices out there. It’s like the Wild West.

I have options though. Apparently people are finding wegovy is broadly similar in terms of IBS improvement so I could switch. Or I could continue micro dosing MJ until my current pens should run out then switch to Oushk’s flex plan just to keep on the books. Or I could do the above and get onto pharmulous’s books.

undecided as yet. Good job I’ve bought a bit of time.

Good call @MJalltheway. I did 11 years in an LA. Great working hours, flexi-time, long holidays, fab pension but at the end of the day we work for money and it wasn’t good enough.

hunkydory54 · 26/08/2025 19:03

There's massive variation on prices. I've been getting my MJ from Boots Online Doctor as they deliver to my local village Boots and I get the loyalty card points, but I think I might be changing. The new price for 10mg on Boots is £305. I've got until mid October for ordering another pen, so I'll see how the prices are going then. The orange man has got a lot to answer for 😡

@myladyjane my farm rio is another I haven't heard of! I really haven't done any clothes shopping for a long time! Thank you for the suggestions xx

myladyjane · 27/08/2025 06:30

Firstly I have a bone to pick with @HeidiLite. All that talk of delicious Comte saw me pick up something running out of its box from the supermarket. Well. Delicious though it was, I have learned it is another ‘not on mj’ foodstuff. I shall have to find another way to get my cheese fix.

i do have a nsv - my trousers arrived and I definitely need the 14 not the 16! 14 not even snug! And dd said they were excellent in my shape and I look all hour glassy. V happy with that.

good day losers

HeidiLite · 27/08/2025 06:42

ah my apologies, but was it worth it? Comte has not had any funny side-effects, so maybe hard cheese works better.
And congratulations on size 14!

I am starting to wonder why WLI market seems to be kind of underground here. You can't even blink in the UK without hearing about them, pretty much everybody and their dog knows what MJ is. But here I've mentioned it to a few friends and they have all asked what it is, never heard.
But, but, at the same time each pharmacy has full range in stock, so it must be widely used. And all online prescribes are flooding my mailbox. So guess WLI is used, just not discussed?

BreezyPeer · 27/08/2025 07:43

Morning losers xxx 🌄

cloudjumper · 27/08/2025 08:40

Morning all!
Still waiting for my next pen to be approved… Did the golden dose yesterday, so I now have a week left before I need it. Hoping that Pharmacy2U can sort this asap, I don’t like not having my next pen ready in fridge 😬

Question - surely I’m not the only one with loose skin now?! What do you ladies do about it?! I’m hoping the bingo wings will reduce once I’m back to fully exercising (finally starting to increase the weights post-surgery, whoop!), but I now have quite a big unsightly flap hanging of my stomach 😣
Will that reduce over time? I didn’t have this problem when I’ve lost weight previously, but I was quite a bit younger then. Is that just something I have to suck up and get on with (and learn how to masque with clothing)?

HeidiLite · 27/08/2025 08:56

@cloudjumper you're certainly not the only one that struggles with it. Mine has improved for sure over time, but as you say, we area also older, so that will certainly have an effect. Plus, while I have yoyoed a lot, this is the most weight I have ever lost in one go.
I'm moisturising and weight training, to fill the flabby parts with muscle. Arse is definitely looking like in that SATC episode where Samantha was sleeping with that old man.

Jins · 27/08/2025 08:58

@cloudjumper I’m not expecting much improvement in my loose skin but I’m post menopausal and 61. My arms are the worst, followed by my face. Annoyingly my stomach is fine. It has improved a bit but I’ve made my peace with it as I’d prefer to be a bit wrinkly here and there than fat and unfit.

Zempy · 27/08/2025 09:35

I am sixty in a few weeks and yes, I have plenty of loose wrinkly skin now. I don’t care about my stomach as only I see that. Upper arms are annoying but obviously hidden for most of the year.

The big issue is my neck and throat area. I will have to take to wearing polo neck tops all the time, although my huge boobs don’t really suit them.

Scarves!! Lots and lots of scarves!!

Honestly, I’m hoping it will firm up a little over the next year and whatever is left is a reminder of what I have achieved.

discov · 27/08/2025 09:38

@cloudjumper I’m 35 and still have loose skin. I showed my stomach to my DM and she said it looked like someone who had lost 10 stone not 3!

My arms and legs aren’t great either. The tops my arms and thighs are a bit crepey and look like they belong to an elderly lady when I move in certain positions and my thigh skin is loose and bingo wings off the charts. I am moisturising and dry brushing a lot (no idea if it will make a difference at all) and need to start exercising but I loathe it!!

Polkadotdash · 27/08/2025 09:51

Morning from a sunny Yorkshire! It’s so lovely to have a change of scenery after 8 weeks at home. Although the fire on the moors is really bad. I’m not sure why it isn’t being covered on the national news more.
Arrived yesterday and was too tired to cook. Struggled last night to find a chippy that didn’t fry in beef fat. I felt like a daft southerner assuming that they’d fry in veg oil! We did on the end but I really need to up my eating game today to compensate for all that lovely batter.

meatyryvita · 27/08/2025 09:58

Morning losers! A busy few days for me.

@cloudjumper same on the flappy skin - my arse is rather flat now (and I always had so much junk in my trunk), it kind of flaps at the base of the cheek - not at all appealing. The tops of my arms are loose too - I've been weight training since the very beginning of my journey (and did so before), so I'm hoping it will tighten up in time. I also bought the Nivea Q10 that was suggested a while back and use that religiously right now.

I'm currently on 7.5mg (3rd pen) and am feeling a little less suppression, I'm hoping that they move me up to 10mg next (I'm with SheMed). They did email me to ask last time if I was happy to stick with 7.5mg and at the time, I was as I'd lost about 2kg that month but less than 2.5lbs lost in a month (so far - I weigh in tomorrow) means I'm ready for a boost.

Have a great day losers!

Zempy · 27/08/2025 10:14

Oh yes, forgot about my arse!

One bum cheek has a cascade of small wrinkles and the other has one big flappy fold of extra skin.

tinyemmy · 27/08/2025 11:18

I also have a very crepey stomach, I've not been this small since my early 20s, I didn't have this when I lost weight post second child, but got to about 8st 12 so the extra half a stone seems to have made a difference (or the putting on of 3+ stone). My bingo wings and thighs are bad but they always have been. I think I will have to learn to dress around them (I always have but I thought if I could just lose that last half a stone my body would look miraculously better, it doesn't). Even with the wrinkles and extra skin I am so much happier. There is the temptation to lose more but I honestly think now I'm looking at skin rather than fat and I'm just not willing to go under the knife. I'm resistance training twice a week and I want to say I noticed an improvement but I'm not sure I have. I will continue and hope for the best!

Polkadotdash · 27/08/2025 11:21

Im in the pancake booty club too. I’m thinking of getting those shape wear pants that boost your cheeks 😆
On the flabby skin thing, does anyone use any of those red light devices? I’m wondering about buying one of those to try on my jowls.

I totally feel the same way (apart from I’ve never been a healthy weight as an adult!). I lowered my goal from 9st to 8st 7 thinking it would make a difference but I’m also just looking at loose skin rather than fat now. I could also be tempted to keep losing more but it really won’t help so I think I’m pretty much done weight loss-wise now. But like you I feel soooooo much happier with myself now so it’s been 100% worth it, and I can just dress to hide the bits I don’t like.

mince3point14159265 · 27/08/2025 13:24

@HeidiLite yes, that image from SATC really did stick in everyone's brains, didn't it?!! 🤢

@Jins I agree with you; much better to be a bit wrinkly but slimmer & fitter than how we were, but can appreciate that lots of you are much younger and don't want to accept that this is it!

I've also been using the Nivea Q10; have been using the one with gradual tan in the run up to going away, and at least a faint tan has made things look slightly better!

@Zempy I've been religiously using the Trinny Elevator for 4 months now and I definitely think it's helped. That gives me hope that working on the other wrinkly areas will see improvement over time. Think it might be a little too expensive to use the Elevator on my arms/thighs/stomach as well though!!

Including an updated photo. Top left is at the end of April when I started using it, through to today at bottom right. Obviously skin got looser in the middle as I lost more weight 🫣

Look at your collarbones @mince3point14159265😍

meatyryvita · 27/08/2025 14:32

Oooh just got an email from SheMed. They are forcing those on their study (signed up for a year at £99) to either move over to Wegovy or stick with Mounjaro but at regular retail prices (expensive ones at that!). Feels a wee bit shady given I signed up for a year of Mounjaro at £99.

Obviously, with my luck being as it is, as mentioned above, I'm due to move up pens shortly and so goodness knows what the switch to Wegovy will bring. I've changed my eating habits but was struggling with suppression a bit lately.

Is anyone here on Wegovy? Any experiences you can share?

Haha, that episode with Samantha and the old guy! I do miss the old SATC, I don't rate the new one at all. Watched the 1st season of it, and it annoyed me so much I couldn't bring myself to watch the newer ones.

I completely agree about rather being slim and wrinkly than fat and smooth 😁But it's good to know I'm not the only one! I'll have to get used to looking my age - until now, people have always put me at younger than 53, but hey-ho! I'll survive! It'll feel less annoying once I have some muscle on me again, I'm sure.

Weigh day today, I am soooo close to the healthy BMI!
My pen order was finally approved, just got the email, phew. I am considering dropping down to 7.5mg again, I've found 10mg really hard so far. The golden dose came out at 11.3mg, and I feel rubbish today. And I'm not losing more on 10mg than I did on 7.5, just feel ropier. Even just drinking water is difficult, I just don't want to put anything in my mouth at all.
