@DGonMJ I also don't know about DS (12) - he's not into grooming yet, not interested in lego or pokemon. Let me know if you find anything!

Also need to get more sweaters - at the moment wearing some from last year that I can pull off as 'oversized' models, but most of them just swamp me. Good deals on Vinted though, I bought the Other Stories wrap cardican in several colours last year and this year, have replaced them with same, but several sizes smaller, and sold the big ones.

Thelittlestranger · 26/09/2025 06:53

Agree.om having the safety net of course correction. That is a game changer. Last night my sweet tooth was hitting me over the head - I've drunk a few glasses of wine over the past week for the first time in I don't know how long and I wonder if that's had an effect. Going to knock that on the head quickly.

Weight, however is down on last week as of yesterday's weigh in at a respectable 8.12. I'm due my last jab today, I was considering not taking it, but I'm going to. Then I'm done. Feeling nervous but ready for it. I've titrated down since beginning of July - firstly by lengthening my dose out, combined with reducing my actual dose. So, 3 months from 7.5mg.

Thelittlestranger · 26/09/2025 06:54

Oh, and the lIbery calendar got served to me as advert. All full size.

BreezyPeer · 26/09/2025 07:32

Morning 🌄 losers!
It's been a busy week at work and I have a very mixed day ahead. A lovely meeting, a very difficult meeting and then a fairly long drive which should be beautiful if the weather stays good.
Really looking forward to the weekend. I have been waiting for some info to come through so I can start some overtime. I finally got it this week so I'm now hopeful I can get it done and paid before Christmas 🎄 ( advent calendars aren't cheap!)
I've also got a pilates workshop on Saturday and a Sunday Lunch with old friends so really looking forward to a busy, relaxing time!
@Thelittlestranger maintenance! Well done- are you completely off the MJ after this jab? I'm very interested to hear how you get on
@2025istheyeari great news about the redundancy- when it's time to go you know. Good luck on your interviews.

I am going to add that podcast to my list as it sounds interesting and seems to address my current fear which is that I will not be able to maintain with MJ and I will not be able to afford to continue to take it long term

HeidiLite · 26/09/2025 08:23

Ooh found some drawing advent calendars, the manga one looks interesting. DS just did this one, i think it's quite good for a 12 yo.

That’s very good! One of my first jobs many moons ago was at a kids tv network and I had to watch every episode of Dragonball Z 😂

DGonMJ · 26/09/2025 08:38

Must start my day and stop browsing Advent Calendars!

For anyone still with Oushk they have a big promo on today celebrating passing their inspection. 2.5mg down to £150 and 1p delivery, plus £25 off for maintenance customers. Also wondering if you can stack up the £15 off for orders over £100 (would make it £110), I might order another one for January if that’s the case.

PenelopePoweringOn · 26/09/2025 08:38

Morning everyone, early start for me with a 7:45 dental check up. Sometimes I am absolutely blown away by how beautiful where I live is. This morning is one of them. Hills, sheep, dales, autumn sunshine, it really is glorious.

@myladyjane I’m with you, I’ve been awake since 2am. I actually gave up trying to go back to sleep at 4am, sick of it. I might try to have a snooze later on.

Thelittlestranger · 26/09/2025 08:41

I was awake from 3 yesterday - zonked out completely last night, let me tell you!!

@BreezyPeer it feels like I've been maintenance since July, when I hit goal! Not sure that podcast is going to make you feel better about coming off it...(see my earlier post/rant)

This weekend we are going away with friends. Looking forward to it, but struggling with concentrating today...

myladyjane · 26/09/2025 08:53

Oh dudes. So close and yet so far. Weigh in day today and bmi is EXACTLY 30. Not 30.1 but 30. If I were 1/2 a pound lighter it would be 29.9.

do I count it as my most major goal reached or do I hope I don’t gain/sts next week and hope for a tiny loss? What do we think?

in any event I feel a bit emotional. This was my biggest goal and the one that felt the most important. Am only planning to lose maybe a stone more now but this is the one that felt it would make the most difference to my health.

have a good day all!

Polkadotdash · 26/09/2025 09:34

@myladyjane yes count it.

MJalltheway · 26/09/2025 10:10

@myladyjane that is absolutely a goal met in my book, congratulations! 🙌

As expected this week, a slight increase. First time it's happened!
As a result, I made the decision and took 12.5mg from my 10mg pen this morning. Going to go with this for a few weeks and see how it goes.

SW 101kg
GW 70kg
CW 75kg
Increase of 0.2kg

Im off this weekend to an annual event, kind of a work event of my DHs that partners also go to. It will be interesting to meet all his work colleagues that I see once a year and see if anyone says anything!

SteveHarringtonsHair · 26/09/2025 12:15

Hi all.

Just a quick check in from me today. Loving all the advent calendar talk btw 🎅

Seen a small variation of the scales since getting to goal which I’m more than happy with.

Still on MJ although titrating down slowly and plan on doing that for the foreseeable.

SW 196lbs
CW 127lbs and very happy with that 🙌🏻

Polkadotdash · 26/09/2025 12:44

I listened to that podcast in my lunch break just now. It does paint quite a bleak long term picture. But I started thinking about the details of the study. I wanted to know what the variations were in the data- what were the starting weights, how much was lost, how long were they losing weight for, the male/female ratio etc etc.

BlueLimes · 26/09/2025 12:59

@DGonMJ does he like those little pop figures? They’re normally around £40-50. DS had a marvel one he liked a lot.

@2025istheyeari you’ve a lot on, Ana img 2 have had interviews already, I hope you here about the jobs soon. Nails, a walk and a lovely weekend sound much needed.

Siunds like you have a lovely weekend planned too @BreezyPeer

@myladyjane congrats and definitely counts, goal within reach!

@Jins hope your holiday is going well. @MJalltheway enjoy your weekend.

@Polkadotdash wasn’t it a small study? We don’t need to come off it (well affordability factors but prices will come down and there’s the tablet on the horizon). I’m just going to keep going - not making any decisions yet. It’s too much to think about so maybe we don’t have to yet.

Thelittlestranger · 26/09/2025 13:43

Just took the last jab out of my pen. I thanked it for everything it had done for me and ceremoniously dumped it in the bin. Here I go...

Thelittlestranger · 26/09/2025 06:54

Oh, and the lIbery calendar got served to me as advert. All full size.

YES @myladyjane thats incredible and definitely count it, massive congratulations to you🎉.

Good luck @Thelittlestranger , keep us posted ( I have the Liberty advent squirreled away, had it for the first time last year and omg what a treat!). Have a great weekend away.

@BreezyPeer hope the not so easy meeting went ok and that too have a lovely weekend, great news on overtime!

@HeidiLite thats fantastic! Looks like a drawing calendar would be right up his street, am sure I saw some anime/ manga things 🤔

@DGonMJ the Oushk deal is good and the codes do stack. My only thing is I haven’t signed up to the new maintenance plan yet and used all my codes! So I’ve emailed them to ask if they’ll honour it for me if I pay for maintenance today. £110 for 2.5mg is pretty good isn’t it.

@MJalltheway enjoy the annual event and I bet you’ll get lots of comments! Hope move to 12.5mg ok.

@SteveHarringtonsHair thats a fab loss! Glad all going well.

@Polkadotdash same but like @BlueLimes said, I think it was quite a small study, im also waiting to see how things transpire I think.

@BlueLimes thank you 🥰.

You can do this 😊 you’ve done so well.

HeidiLite · 26/09/2025 14:25

the thread is almost full again, we do chat a lot.

Have to report that one side effect is certainly back after summer. I'm freezing!

cloudjumper · 26/09/2025 15:16

Argh, I missed my pen delivery! Royal Mail, no option to pick up from depot, they will try again on Monday. Praying that it’ll stay cold until then!

Zempy · 26/09/2025 15:33

Good luck @Thelittlestranger!

Yes @HeidiLite I am wearing several layers plus a thick furry blanket and still cold. It’s reminding me of when we all started…

Got my Big Day Out tomorrow. Hopefully I will survive, despite being horribly out of practice when it comes to serious partying. I have nothing planned for Sunday just in case.

Vinting is going well. I have accepted that I don’t need any new clothes, but of course there’s all those fabulous brand new with tags things to buy the DC for Christmas!!! <<addicted>>

Hello girls. Very infrequent poster here, but love to keep up with you all. I am going to start tapering next week, I’m down 4 stone since Jan, now 10.5 stone and very pleased. Hope to maintain with 2.5 pen in January for a few months until I feel like I can come off completely.
But I have an HRT question, I was having issues with it whilst on MJ , it seemed less effective generally, so I came off 5 months ago. However, it’s now clear that I am not ready to be without it as hot flushes and insomnia have ramped up and it’s become intolerable, so I plan to go back on it. Have others had any issues with MJ and HRT? I remember there were some posts about it earlier in the year, I think it was poorly absorbed whilst on MJ or something like that. Either way I’m going back on it as the hot flushes and lack of sleep are too much.

Come over to thread 12 @Whisperingdevil!

I've been on HRT throughout, but I use patches and pessaries so they aren't affected by MJ. Could you consider a change to those types?
