Medexpress- prescribing? Delivering?

Has anyone has an order prescribed since Friday? They are not replying- or even receiving emails due to the volume, so now I’m getting worried. Is there any way they could be pocketing the money and not delivering? The process was so fast before the price increase news, and now it’s a brick wall. I’m at the end of a pen and nothing to use next. As well as going away for a week, so anxious it’ll be warm and wasted. Any updates from Medexpress people would be appreciated!

I must be a glutton for punishment but MedExpress have just allowed me to reorder even though my last order is still awaiting clinical approval. Now I have 2 orders I can get stressed about!

Me too! 15 days now since the first order of 2.5 which is still pending despite being “escalated”

Cocotok · 28/08/2025 16:57

What dose pens were they @notnorman? So frustrating isn't it. I've heard nothing from my order on the 18th.

10 mg x

STOP PRESS- if anyone has tried calling ME they might get through right now, apparently open until 10pm.

I have just called MedExpress on the off chance someone might answer and my call was answered within a minute! Advisor confirmed my order was still on the system but they had no idea when it would be processed due to backlog etc. Said most orders are well exceeding the 10 day timeframe. I requested a refund and it has been shown in my bank immediately.

Now who to go with to begin Wegovy…

That’s good to hear, I can’t find phone number online. Do you have it please?

Cocotok · 28/08/2025 20:52

So the latest email confirms only those orders that have already been clinically approved will be sent out at the price paid.

I've emailed and requested a refund. What a shit show.

Macdaddy5 · 28/08/2025 20:33

Latest email from MedExpress only guarantees the price on “clinically approved” orders. Which explains why orders are not being clinically approved at the moment.

I just got that email and saw that. I have two orders pending, one for a 2.5 which they say isn’t out of stock but they still haven’t approved. I’m furious.

jan2310 · 28/08/2025 20:56

And meanwhile they have our money 😡

NotPerfectlyAdverage · 28/08/2025 20:59

I just got the email too and read it as all orders placed will be honoured?

Either way there's zero chance of a pen before September

NotPerfectlyAdverage · 28/08/2025 21:03

I'm on holiday for a week soon. I think I'm going to take my dose early and go back down to 2.5 for that week. Really tempted to just come off but I have two more stones just to get out of being obese. It started this thinking about blood pressure. But that's through the roof

Of course, it’s 020 8123 0508

They're open until 10pm, good luck!

It’s a bit vague. It says once approved orders will be honoured at the price paid. But it then says that every clinically approved order is secured, implying that anything not approved is not a secured order. Who knows!

NotPerfectlyAdverage · 28/08/2025 21:20

Agree. I'm dyslexic but it reads like another non informative email

My order from the 15th was cancelled today.

Reason for rejection:
Clinically unsuitable to supply - refer to GP. unsuitable to restart treatment- git>24 weeks patient BMI<30 (24.99)

I think they assessed me as a new patient as I hadn’t ordered from them for about a year. But I did provide them with a prescription from another supplier from July 2025. I think 24.99 was my current BMI calc - I should have added a pound!

Am just posting for anyone of a normal BMI who thinks going back to Med Express after a break. It seems they don’t like it!

workingcocker · 28/08/2025 22:27

I just read a story (Daily Mail - Sorry) that says the makers have back tracked on the price increase and they won’t be as expensive. Approx £250 for 15mg.

Caplin · 28/08/2025 22:36

So from what I am reading, Eli Lilly have actually stopped delivering orders to pharmacists until September. So the smaller ones are a bit stuffed.

Hopefully stock will be released in September, and as PP said the price hike won’t be as steep now.

doesn’t help the people who have run out now, and the comms have been awful.

beasmithwentworth · 28/08/2025 23:10

I got an email this eve saying it’s been prescribed and will be dispatched in 2 days.I ordered on 20th so last Wednesday.

Macdaddy5 · 29/08/2025 05:14

I’m at the end of my journey with mounjaro so this disruption is not so much an issue but if I wasn’t I’d certainly be looking at Wegovy which is European instead of mounjaro which as it is from the USA and is being manipulated in the market by their country’s president. MedExpress are not the root cause of this whole debacle. You just cannot rely on the USA as a trading partner these days.

GoldieLookingBoots · 29/08/2025 07:00

My order for 7.5mg that I made on 15th is still awaiting clinical review. I suppose that’s because they’re out of stock. Not sure if they’d honour the price I paid even if they did deliver it. I can see them going out of business. I’ve sent emails and ashes for refund. I will try to phone today. I’m sticking with Pillsorted for now. They actually deliver when they say they will.

beasmithwentworth · 29/08/2025 07:08

@GoldieLookingBoots

Their process for approving etc all seems very hit and miss. I ordered my 7.5 on 20th and I just got a message saying it’s arriving today. Dispatched yesterday. Seems very odd.

Rosiejovi · 29/08/2025 07:21

I ordered 12.5mg on 15th August, I was a previous customer, but have not ordered with them since may. I provided proof of prescription just over a week ago and I received an email and text message yesterday saying its been prescribed and should be with me within 3 days.

notnorman · 29/08/2025 09:13

The one from the 14th has just been prescribed. Maybe they’re had a delivery.

MadisonMarieParksValetta · 29/08/2025 09:50

I'm still awaiting review from the 15th and have had to send 2 sets of pictures.

I've order Wegovy from Voy. I'll never use MedExpress again.

QuebecBagnet · 29/08/2025 10:09

Had an email today, they’re out of stock of everything. I can order at new prices after 1st sept. Any previous orders will be honoured at old prices. Which is irritating as I wasn’t allowed to order until today. Think they’ve timed that on purpose. Fuckers.
