Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we have had the BEST Summer in years as we are all significantly lighter.

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W42 D1 and on w2 of my first titrating down pen of 5.0mg

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 6.0lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far 61.0 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

I think (and hope!) Eli Lilly will be handed their arse on a plate as sales stall for the foreseeable and that the makers of Wegovy laugh like drains with the knowledge that they couldn't have made their extra profit without EL's own goal sale tactics. Not that Trump will ever admit that he has actually caused a decline in an American company's sales and all that....

600% increase in Wegovy sales i believe! Evil Eye Lilly have royally shot themselves in the foot - bet their shareholders are furious!

DarkForces · 22/08/2025 08:22

I've hardly got any photos of me from the last decade or so. Certainly none at my very fattest. It's nice to be able to take them now and not just see myself as fat. I just couldn't see a way out. Every diet I tried ended in more weight gain and it was accelerating as I hit my mid 40s. I'm actually happy with how I look and am so grateful for weight loss drugs. Just wish they'd been available 15 years ago and were on the nhs!

Hi everyone - I’m sure I’m not the only one but having never posted I just wanted to thank you for the support, laughter and honesty along this journey since last November 🥰. I started as as a 5’ 2’’ 61 year old at 14 stone 9 on the 7th November. I’m now rapidly heading for 62 and was 10 6 before leaving for the trip of a lifetime with DH, DD, DSIL and DGD at the beginning of August. Like everyone else here, it has been life changing. I’m size 8 (USA 😂) but I was a 3xl 4years ago. I have hiked in Yosemite, cycled across the Golden Gate Bridge and clocked up 17,000 steps in Disney. I’ve (almost) strutted my stuff around several swimming pools and for the first time in 39 years of marriage have actually appeared in holiday photos!!!! Thanks again and especially to @Mounjaropen . You will never know how much your support has meant 😊 to an old (previously rotund) bird.

Aw this is so lovely! Go get your strut on properly!

DarkForces · 22/08/2025 08:31

I'm not going to pretend I'm going to suddenly start weight lifting or working out. I do walk (almost) every day in the local woods thanks to ddog. I love walking beside the streams that meander their way through and listening to the birds. I'm not remotely rural so very grateful for the slither of green the council has left. Luckily there's some rare plants so hopefully it'll be protected. The community is very protective of it too and regularly litter pick and maintain it. It's beautiful

Goldleafcat · 22/08/2025 08:32

Happy Friday everyone! Lighter on the scales again today, only 1.4lbs away from 5 stone. I’ll bank today’s weight I think. Away for a week from tomorrow so will see if I maintain or gain…

In other news, I’ve noticed that as I’ve gone down a few sizes in jeans, that the shorter leg suddenly seems, well, short. A bit too short. I was always regular till sometime in the 2000s when leg lengths were suddenly drowning me. Are leg lengths longer when you’re a bigger size or something?! The mysteries and inconsistencies of clothing sizing will always puzzle me

SerenePeer · 22/08/2025 08:36

Happy Friday luxury death jabbers!

Signing in with my creepy fanny neck for duty 🫡 Weirdly, it's just one one side - like a rogue labia 😂 I've been slathering on Skin Rocks Support Oil but I'm not seeing much improvement so far!

Cheeky Friday off for me today so I'm off for a sauna on the beach with friends. I think i need new jeans too - my size 12s are rather roomy now.

No weight loss for me this week (or last!) which is odd as I usually always have a whoosh when I've been in London for the week with all the extra walking I do there. But my scales ran out of battery this morning so they might have been a bit unreliable lately anyway.

I've a big fancy event tomorrow night - 1920s theme with all the gin cocktails! I can't wait to get dressed up! I've not gone full Flapper, but i do have an itsy bitsy dress that gives a nod to flapper style. Skinny straps too, so tit tape at the ready! Quite excited to be braless as that would have been unthinkable last November! Now the girls have shrunk to little more than spaniel ears, they're very easy to strap down with some tit tape 😂 (or they'd be flapping in the wind!)

Have a fabulous Friday everyone! Fanny necks and all!

Mine is also jauntily off centre - very quirky.

I'm incredibly jealous of all your plans!

This is interesting! I'm 5"2 and have always had to roll up trousers, even the 'short' versions. It's been odd not always having to do that anymore now I'm a 14. So if say that you're right - bigger sizes do have longer leg lengths. Because all fat people are tall right?

Ooh! Maybe it is a thing?!

So strange. I’m 5 ft 6 (used to be closer to 5 ft 7 but have clearly shrunk). I’ve found it in M&S, Simply Be and a rogue Debenhams pair (which were purchased on Vinted as M&S but turned out to be Debenhams when they arrived).

RayonSunrise · 22/08/2025 09:50

@SerenePeer Yes, and when you start a big exercise regime there’s this sort of implicit expectation that weight will fall off and maintenance will be easy. I have a few friends who are pretty active but have been steadily gaining weight since menopause, and they are frustrated. I don’t blame them, because it does feel like we’re in a “diets are bad” culture, and staying in calorie deficit is hard (and harder for some than others!).

eta: Oh, and have a fabulous night out!

RayonSunrise · 22/08/2025 09:56

Leg lengths ARE definitely longer at bigger sizes. At 5 ft 10 I always get the M&S long length, and I am currently in a new pair of size 10 jeans. Friends: I am not, and have never been, a size 38. What’s happening is the 10L is a more generous cut than a 10R.

No idea why. Just generally expected to be proportionately bigger all round? (I am, tbf - coming down to 10 stone 9 is making me look pretty slim and is increasing my motivation to lift weights.)

RayonSunrise · 22/08/2025 09:57

I am enjoying the luxury death jabber concept, I have to say. 😁

Weighing in.

CW:14st 13lbs
1st GW: 17st 13lbs
2nd GW 15st 4lbs
3rd GW: 13st 9lbs
TL: 4st 10lb

I'm officially in the 14s 🥳
Heading back to the doctors tomorrow about my abdominal aches. If there's nothing serious lurking then it's a pain level I could live with until it does go, as it's pretty mild, but I want reassurance that I'm not ignoring pancreatitis, appendicitis, bowel cancer etc

Pumpkinforever · 22/08/2025 10:49

Congrats getting into the 14s @PinkArt

Have the new stone bracket klaxon
📣🔔📣🔔📣🔔💪🏻

Good luck at the doctors tomorrow

Pumpkinforever · 22/08/2025 11:01

@SerenePeer just 😹 at tit tape and spaniel ears flapping in the wind. Have a great time.

@BobberleeBeaner congratulations on weight loss and that awesome trip

@Goldleafcat i am also struggling on trousers. @PresidentBarklett I think some M&S cropped jeans are almost the perfect length for a fellow 5ft2er

I am also envious of all these fabulous parties and events PPs are having (looking at you @PinkArt amazing Yacht Party, and @SerenePeer 1920s party, how fun!) (and @Mounjaropen weekly occurrence of fabulous lunches it seems!) .

I need to start addressing my social life I think 😂

Mine is a trip to the doctors, rather than a yacht party! But I might go the long way home via M&S for 'bits' from the foodhall, so still a fabulous day out 😂

PresidentBarklett · 22/08/2025 11:13

Just did the 5th dose for the first time in my life. Used a lock luer syringe and changed needles to inject. Don't think I quite got 0.6 but very close. Fingers crossed I don't die and all that.

Oh sorry I think i mixed up the yacht party attendee! Was that @jay55 ?

(I clearly need a break, my brain fog is on another level at the moment!)

Good luck at the doctors and a trip to M&S for tasty treats sounds good to me!

I am realising I would mad not to use my 5th dose - I’ve been slightly scared of the syringe/faff. Where did you get your syringe from? Did you watch any videos or is it pretty easy to do?

So! I'm naturally quite risk averse and the thought of the faff always put me off before, but it just seemed like a no brainer to me.

I read a lot of threads about it on here and then I bought some lock luer syringes on UK Medi along with some screw on needle heads - I got the 32 guage ones, to make sure they were as fine as the ones provided with the pen. I bought two lengths -6mm to extract the dose and then 4mm to inject, as I'm a quivering wimp.

I extracted with the 6mm, which was fiddly. Kept having to push back up as it was slow trickling out. Then I switched to a new 4mm needles, flicked it to make sure there was no air in there and pushed it up to prime it, so there was a drop of medication on the needle tip. And then I injected. It was actually much easier to inject than the pen, but hard to extract.

I didn't watch any videos, but did speak to a mate who is a nurse, as my partner was paranoid I would inadvertently kill myself. Mostly did this to make him feel better tbh.

Pumpkinforever · 22/08/2025 12:42

Ooh I forgot to post a weight update on Wednesday but I am another pound down meaning I have lost 5 stone and 1lb.

I have a stone and 6lbs to go to reach 9 and half stone but I may try for 9 stone to give me wriggle room with a BMI of 23.5. Just can’t believe I got so large.

I binge watched the Biggest Loser series on Netflix last night. Crazy lots have put weight back on which is not surprising given their methods
