Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we have had the BEST Summer in years as we are all significantly lighter.

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W42 D1 and on w2 of my first titrating down pen of 5.0mg

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 6.0lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far 61.0 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

I honestly can't believe how much weight I've lost in 18 months. I'm thinner now than when I was in my mid 20's. It's scary how many compliments you get.

I’m back to my early 20s weight now too! I sometimes feel sad for the ‘me’ in all the years I was bigger, I could have felt so much more confident and happier in my own skin. Looked and felt better. Not had the horrible relationship with clothing / image, and discomfort, both physically and psychologically. But then I also had a lot of fun times, and clearly I enjoyed lots of lovely food (whoops!). Wish I could have just had the normal balance that many people have, but I don’t think I’m built that way!

Goldleafcat · 20/08/2025 08:20

Morning everyone!

My weight has been relatively similar over the past few weeks (during backache setback etc) but I was feeling a bit slimmer yesterday, so even though it’s not my usual weigh in day, I decided to face the music. Clearly duck related inadvertent colonic irrigation has helped as I’ve lost almost 2lbs since the weekend. I normally ‘lose’ during the week with a low on a Saturday morning so hopefully I might even see more off before we go away on Saturday (a week in North Wales again, will be packing warm clothes this time I think!).

SW 16 stone 7lbs
CW 11 stone 9.8lbs
Initial GW 11 stone ish

Now I’m getting closer to my original goal weight (which seemed like absolute fantasy-land back in November) I think I will set a further stretch goal of 10 stone 7lbs. Goodness only knows if I’ll get there but I never thought I’d see an 11 on the scales either so we will see what the next few months bring!

For ‘fun’ I thought I’d list out the foods which appear to ‘get things moving’, from both my experience and others:

  • Roasted duck, specifically that lovely crispy skin
  • Crispy batter on fish and chips (although I can tolerate it much better now, the first time I had it on MJ though, yikes)
  • Seafood pasta in a cream sauce
  • Did someone have an incident with an Asda chocolate muffin?

Checking in for weekly weigh-in with new smart scales

SW:14st
CW: 10st 1
GW: 9 st 7

The smart scales were interesting - not sure how accurate they are but was interesting to compare to some measurements I took in January - I am 5 metabolic years younger (still one more than my actual age though!!).

It says my muscle mass is good although I have lost some in actual terms - has anyone managed to lose weight with no muscle loss? This has been worrying me for a while.

@Goldleafcat dominos pizza - 2 slices of thinnest crust veggie supreme. I thought I'd be ok. I was wrong 😭

PresidentBarklett · 20/08/2025 09:21

@Goldleafcat Wagamamas ginger chicken udon whilst on 5mg. This is healthy, I thought as I shovelled it in. I lived to regret that naivete.

It was very greasy to be fair. I think the chef had a rather heavy hand with the sesame oil.

Thought we’d gone quiet! Hadn’t realised there was a new thread. Thanks for starting one.

Weighing and Jabbing day.

SW16.5
CW 11.4 1/2
Total Weight lost 5 stone 1/2 lb
Final Target 11.2

Hurrah! 5 STONE LOSS!!!
Only 2.5 to go to my final, final target

After much overthinking and sharing with you yesterday, I had decided to drop down to 10mg, but it hasn't actually turned out that way!
DD's first WLI pen is on its way. Although she is aged 28 she is very nervous about it all and asked if she could watch me do my jab today, to see exactly how it is done.
I didn't want to start confusing her with counting clicks and part doses so I just did the full 12.5 so she could get a clear idea of how easy it all is.
So, now keeping all fingers crossed I don't get the kick back I have had some of the weeks I have been on 12.5. It seems to be about 50:50 whether its a no SE effect week or not.

Maybe the silver lining is I will lose more than if I had been on 10. But it is definitely down to 10 next week!

Anyway, delighted to have got to 5 stone...... now off to exercise and work on the last 2.5lb's

@Goldleafcat my worst food reaction was to a very nice sweet & sour chicken I made. It was low fat, with chicken, vegetables and pineapple. Wowzer, my stomach did not like the pineapple!!

Pumpkinforever · 20/08/2025 12:29

well done 💪🏻 you are almost at goal !

Checking in time. Week 40, Day 5:

SW 16st 4lbs
CW 10st 12lbs (getting under 11 feels like when the odometer ticks round in the car)
GW 10st (ish)

I was in the city this morning getting an actual hair cut and got there early, so had a moment of killing time and popped into Boots to use their antiquated height, weight and body fat machine. It's tucked away in a dark corner like a dirty little secret and using it felt very surreptitious - until I put a pound in and the digital voice shouted what to do REALLY LOUD! Fully clothed and with trainers on I was 3lbs heavier than I am when naked in my bathroom - but also .06 inches taller. And so, so close to the ideal weight and BMI range.

Just got my 12.5 pen from Oushk. Safely in the fridge and I feel like I can breathe again. I'm actually still on 10 but this was all I could get, so I'm going to count clocks to get 5 doses.

MyRootinTootinBaby · 20/08/2025 13:48

I’ve got a separate IG account for my weight loss journey, mainly so I’m not bombarded by the weight loss algorithm when I just want to chill out and mindlessly scroll, but I haven’t been on it for a few weeks. I’ve just been on it for a week look and loads of people who I follow are referring to the jabs as M and W instead of using the actual brand names, has anyone else noticed this?

MyRootinTootinBaby · 20/08/2025 14:06

Mounjaropen · 18/08/2025 21:56

😂 OMG.

Anyone seen the pictures of Karren Brady this week? She’s had something called EndoliftX on her face (£3500) and looks legit 20 years younger. I’m very envious of her neck right now.

She looks amazing doesn’t she!

I notice people on Facebook do this - I think it's to do with getting around the restrictions around mentioning the medication by name. Certainly preferable to the achingly twee 'mango' which I've also seen.

My muscle mass is 70.5% according to my smart scales. I’m bordering between average and high. I’ve really worked on my strength training to avoid too much loss but I’ve deffo got ozempic arse 😩 Just focus on getting at least 1g of protein per kg of body weight per day in your macros. Ideally 2g’s if you can.

I have no reactions at all to anything I eat. I've had pizza, cheesecake, chocolate etc, stomach seems fine. But I don't seem to respond particularly strongly full stop given I'm on 12.5mg now and can eat normal (not massive) meals and still get hungry.

arcticpandas · 20/08/2025 15:03

Not taking any jab because I don't qualify (BMI 19) but I'm jealous of you all because you feel so good in your "new bodies". I don't feel good in mine but I can't lose weight in order to feel better so I guess I'll just lurk and see if some of the glow will rub off😄. Well done ladies !

1lb away, how rude. That's one trip to the loo, next time you get on the scales you'll have your healthy BMI.

The BMI range is mad isn't it? We are practically the same height (I'm 5' 6") and I can't imagine ever being 8 stone anything. Even in my early 20s I was rarely under 10 stone and I don't think anyone would have considered me particularly big.

Woohoo! I’ve had confirmation that my 3 x 5mg are en route.

I have two 10mg pens en route - due tomorrow and I pushed the 5mg. pen to an October date that was offered. Happy now I have enough to see me through December /New Year which is a tricky month with Christmas but 3 family birthdays of which 2 are biggies.

I can’t remember a time when I would be worried about December eating in August 😅 I guess that an impact of MJ and weight loss as I want to go into the new year as a skinny 🤞🏻 with a healthy BMI
