Welcome to thread lucky number 13!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we have had the BEST Summer in years as we are all significantly lighter.

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W42 D1 and on w2 of my first titrating down pen of 5.0mg

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 6.0lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far 61.0 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

@jay55 - I couldn't agree more 😊

I look and feel great when fully clothed, and no-one sees underneath apart from DH of 35 years!

MontyJinks · 19/08/2025 13:23

I feel a bit like I'm going into the unknown now. It was relatively easy to take the doses, go up when (I felt) necessary and consistently lose weight.

But maintenance options are just so varied and it all seems a bit hit and miss and will require a lot more consideration, thought and decisions!

I've reached my goal of 8st 8lbs, BMI 23.8, but don't know whether to stay here or lose a bit more. I've been overweight since childhood so have no frame of reference. I'm quite happy at size 10 and my body feels good. Only 'problem' area is my apron belly, you can absolutely grab handfuls and it sadly resembles uncooked bread dough 😂 I don't know whether losing a few more pounds or upping the exercise will help with this? Or is it just a lost cause after 4 babies, 3 caesareans?

I'd also like to hit the 'Renpho jackpot' of all green too, slightly demoralised that my body fat is still obese at 8st 8lbs 🙄 but I'll keep buggering on!

I've decided to start gradually titrating down, so have gone down from 7.5mg to 5mg for my latest dose. Think I'm just planning to see how appetite suppression is on 5mg and that will dictate when I move down to 2.5mg, and will continue to weigh in daily.

I've ordered a 5mg from current supplier and have booked my maintenance call with Oushk (late October was next available one, so if you're thinking of swapping to them for maintenance, don't, like me, leave it until the last minute) 😂

Maintenance - it's a minefield!

Well congratulations on reaching your goal! Awesome. How tall are you? That will affect your BMI for sure.

Body shape wise, you are not ever going to out-train 3 caesarians I don't think. I've not had one, and whilst I have significantly reduced my apron belly there is still a fold, and I have the cottage loaf-top thing going on with regards to my belly also. And my BMI is 21.8 and all of my stats are green in Renpho - only body fat is a pale green. I think at this point, you've achieved so much, so If you feel good, then stop. I've moved down to 5.0mg from 7.5mg and have not noticed much in terms of food pangs at all. I plan to go down as many pens of 5.0mg as I went up and then stay on 2.5mg.

Keep going!

OP posts:
MontyJinks · 19/08/2025 15:16

I'm only 5ft! 😂

Ha - I always think of a cottage loaf too!

I've had a couple of days on 5mg and not noticed any discernable difference as yet, so that's good. Yes, happy where I am now, but I suppose I'll continue to lose, albeit at a slower rate, whilst tapering down.

jay55 · 19/08/2025 15:27

Well always making excuses for myself I realised my gain, and inability to get back to my low did coincide with my house buyers losing their buyer. Which may also account for the missing period too. That’s back on track now and the scales were down this morning, not to my low but well on the way.

Anyone follow the Ethan Bernard on socials? He has wild weight fluctuations week to week, 10lbs up one week 15 down the next. At 500lbs percentage wise it’s not huge but still makes me feel less alone when so many seem to lose each week.

Tomorrow I’m going to a party, the launch of a new cruise ship, there will be free food and booze. I’m planning to thoroughly enjoy it and then get back to diligently counting every darn calorie for the last week before my hols.

MagnoliaTreePetals · 19/08/2025 16:35

I'm following you with great interest @MontyJinks as I have been saying/thinking exactly the same.

My BMI is now a satisfactory 24.2 (having started at 35), and I am a size 12 (having started at 20).
The weight exercises & swimming have really helped the upper arm butterfly-wings, although they will never go completely. But a stubborn roll of fat is still firmly lodged on my lower abdomen. It's much better than it was, but how much do I have to lose for it to go?? and if I keep losing will I lose extra from my bust and face as well? Which I don't wan't to do.
Only 3 pregnancies with 1 caesarian for me, but even so I just don't think that I am going to shift my lower abdomen roll.

I feel great and happy where I am, and have decided (I think!) to follow @Mounjaropen 's advice and go back to 10mg to try and avoid the kick-back I have been getting on 12.5mg.
I would still like to lose 4lb more, to achieve a 5 stone loss and give me a few pounds lee-way below it.
Hopefully I will still lose on 10mg, but if I don't I can always go back up to 12.5.
Weigh in and jab day tomorrow........

MontyJinks · 19/08/2025 16:53

@MagnoliaTreePetals

So many similarities - I started off a size 20, BMI 36.7 and an currently 4lbs off losing 5 stone.

I absolutely don't mind having a small belly roll, my body is soooooo much better than it was, and that's a small price to pay. I suppose if we kept on losing and losing it would eventually go, but to the detriment of all other body areas!

It's something I've never previously experienced, but parts of me actually look bony (clavicles, cheekbones, shoulders, ankles, hip bones, arse!) 😂 and I don't really want to lose any more from these areas.

My plan is to take 5mg for a month, then titrate down to 2.5mg the following month if the (previously insane) food noise doesn't return. After that, I've no idea.... yet.

Good luck with your 10mg

edited to say - sorry to hear about your house sale. That does sound stressful!

I mean, a magnificent effort with that dress size change and loss! 🙌

I can feel my abs slow toning up through the Pvolve - especially the side obliques. See if a change up in routine to include functional fitness training, standing ab exercises and pilates makes a difference to your tummy area. Mine is the flattest it has ever been and I have been doing precisely zero sit ups! A different training regime is a complete eye-opener tbh.

Hope you get on better with the 10.0mg.

Ooh. I’ve not joined any Oushk group. What is the circle app? Sounds intriguing!

It's their private members space - I believe it's an app that quite a few companies etc use. It's a bit clunky, but fine for what it does!

I'm so dreadful at pilates. My tailbone is agony and I always end up rolling around on my back like some kind of absurd turtle.

Bones! They have emerged and I love them, and they fascinate me: collar, shoulder, elbow and hip bones. They have been hidden away for so long I almost forgot they were there.

evilharpy · 19/08/2025 19:04

Checking in, thanks for the new thread!

Currently about 6st 4lbs down, gone from BMI 37.6 to 23.7. I have three 10mg pens in the fridge (less one dose) and plan to titrate down after that. I'm not really looking to lose any/much more, I'm a comfortable size 10 now which at 5' 6" has always been my happiest size.

Also yes bones! I have knobbly shoulders again!

It's bizarre isn't it? My neck and wrists look so tiny and delicate compared to before. My tail bone freaks me out a bit. My little tum means I can only feel my hip bones when I lie on my back 😂

jay55 · 19/08/2025 19:44

Medexpress are allowing extra orders 2 pens in 28days.its something. I’ve ordered a 12.5, and have a new 10 from last week, so that’s two months post holiday covered and I can count clicks if I don’t like 12.5. If I can squeeze in one more order before the price hike that’ll be the rest of the year sorted.

Hello!

My update!

Age 45
Starting weight 92kg
Starting BMI 36

Currently 76kg
BMI 29.8
Currently on 10mg

My weight loss has been slower than most. It has been semi on purpose, I've pushed each dose until I've felt its no longer working. I have been petrified of losing my hair and looking gaunt, losing too much fat on my face etc so ive taken a slow and steady approach which i aim to continue.

I got chat GPT to analyse my weight loss and look for patterns in my stalls which has been very insightful!

Ive also gotten it to project what is needed to remain at a similar pace to get to goal weight which is 60-64kg (bmi is different for Asians!) so i can think about how many pens to reasonably stock up on whilst its a more reasonable price! Please NO DISCUSSIONS ON the ethics of THIS! Although i do worry about maintenance/continuation once the stockpile reserves finish. I know suppliers are saying they will work with you, but the guidlines etc could change. Also, its a huge outlay and there is the potential for prices not to rocket so much?

On the positive side my Nov starter friends, i havent felt this confident in years! Ive really focused on my skin too to avoid sagging etc and its the best its ever been. Ive been getting a lot of compliments!

This really has changed my life around! I enjoy fashion again and dont dread social gatherings anymore!

This group has really helped me too so i am very grateful for everyone sharing their experiences.

Thank you all! Will keep you updated on my slow but steady losses!

But Pilates is so much easier now given there is 5 stone less of me to move around 😂 I am not a graceful mover but, bloody hell, I can get down and back up off the floor with so much more ease

Pumpkinforever · 19/08/2025 20:23

We hear you @sumbum I have a stash which will take me to the end of December at which point I hope to be on maintenance at 5 or 2.5mg. I think most people who could afford it have done so, it’s a considerable saving.

As @Mounjaropen thread title implies I have had the best summer in years. I am happy to be outside and see people as my clothes all fit (okay some are a bit loose) but I am not wearing tents and getting all hot and sweaty

Visible bones - it's a revelation! 😂

For me now, every day is a school day, with a strong emphasis on biology. Lying in bed the other morning, running my hands over my newly emerged hip bones (don't judge, this is very much new territory), I came across a hard lump at the bottom of my stomach, a bit spongy, size of a tennis ball.

Yes, at the ripe old age of 50 I'd just 'felt' the location of my bladder 😂 The difference between 'before' and 'after' my morning wee was phenomenal. Who knew 🤷

Oceangrey · 19/08/2025 22:46

Omg that's hilarious.

I'm not at the bones stage yet personally, can't quite imagine it, I wasn't a fat kid but have never been really slim/thin either, I was a curvy teenager - intrigued to see if I ever get to the collarbones and hipbones stage.

I’m looking forward to starting back at Pilates in a week - 10 days. I also roll about like a confused toddler at times.
