Welcome to thread lucky number 13!

Link to the old thread here

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we have had the BEST Summer in years as we are all significantly lighter.

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W42 D1 and on w2 of my first titrating down pen of 5.0mg

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 6.0lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far 61.0 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

It’s been outrageous here - wind and driving rain. But I am not as grouchy as I might normally be because all the coats I’ve bought in previous sales etc (purchases that were largely ridiculously ambitious!) actually bloody well fit! A Berghaus 14, a Trespass 14, and a Weird Fish 12 (crazy sizing there). My DH dug the Berghaus and Trespass down from the attic for me last weekend (and I confess I got the Weird Fish one recently, I did try that one on at least!). I hadn’t expected them to fit at all. I’ve also got a Monsoon coat I sourced on Vinted after having to give up one in a bigger size. I’m now slightly regretful as my coat selection is mildly insane.

I’ve been too nervous to weigh myself for a bit because with this weird throat virus / potential tonsillitis (I’m really not sure anymore? I did a Covid test last weekend which was negative 🤷‍♀️) (throat is still crap but I feel less rubbish) has had me slothlike and eating comfort foods. However despite all this my body seems to have readjusted things and when I injected MJ earlier my tummy was definitely smaller.

And I’m starting to really see a difference at last in the mirror. Has shit just got real? 😂

I believe the latest strain of Covid is showing symptoms that are mainly throat related.Very painful and many people have abscesses on their throat however, the old style lateral flow tests are not showing positive for it.

yep - brown tights, brown shoes, brown coats…to quote waynetta slob ‘ I hate brown’ 😂

Oh god the shoes. My feet were ridiculously narrow when I was little. I'd just walk out of those plimsolls with the elastic bit. So I would normally have the choice of one pair of shoes at any one time and once we found a pair that stayed on then that was the decision made.
And I wonder why I hoard clothes and accessories now!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 15/09/2025 22:17

Checking in! Congratulations @PresidentBarklett, @Caplin and everyone else sounding the klaxon.

I tried on bikinis yesterday for my holiday at the end of the month and if I do say so myself, they looked bloody good. I’ve done a whole 2 days of weights - imagine what I’ll look like in a week if I manage to keep it up!

I’ve been maintaining on 7.5mg - am the same weight, but a bit more wine has sneaked back in. Need to watch that. I’m going to jab today and then skip my next dose for my holiday. Last time I saw these friends I was on 12.5mg and I couldn’t eat or drink, and in fact threw up because I tried to keep drinking. This time I want to actually enjoy myself. Then I’ll jab on my return. I’ve also got a £30 off voucher from Med Express, so will order a 5mg for the next pen.

Just leaving this here in case it is of any use to anyone. I’m not a ND or DM fan but the point made in the article is a good one.

I’ve got narrow feet too. In fact my feet are quite nice. Perhaps I should set up something on only fans to drum up my £995 neck lift money 😂

Blimey that’s awful! Glad she’s spoken about it.

Had a mild moment of panic whilst reading it due to my dodgy throat but I’ve not had heartburn at all so far on this and the throat only came on with this virus 😅 (which may or may not be the fancy new COVID strain).

That said, I’ll be eating a bit of yoghurt or having a swig of a protein shake in the mornings when I’m not really hungry to keep any dodgy acids at bay.

I’ve not had heartburn either but naturally reading this I immediately imagined I did 😂 However, I know some people like to read this thread and not necessarily comment or contribute directly so if they are experiencing similar symptoms or buying gaviscon by the gallon I’d suggest a trip to the GP to get it checked out.

Hope the throat clears up soon, sounds awful 😣

Thank you, it’s is improving, slowly. My glands were really swollen last week but they’ve come back down now. There does seem to have been an absurd amount of bugs and viruses flying about this year.

Will be keeping on top of my vitamins.

Hope everyone has a good Tuesday! It’s £10 Tuesday at Boots again, looks like they’ve got some nice Nip & Fab bits and a wide range of skincare and lotions in the offer for anyone who fancies it!

Just back from a fairly successful shopping trip, 2 pairs of jeans and some green cord trousers, size 12! Also gave into temptation and got a brown jumper (m but possibly could have gone for s). Got my hair and nails booked for later this week so I'm feeling pampered at the moment.

Ooh sounds lovely!

I bought these last night on a whim (I don’t usually use Very but Insta served me an ad featuring this collection and it was my style) and they were delivered earlier. Not sure about the quality of the coat but it is nice and long and warm for the price and I don’t have any new season burgundy coloured clothing…The pleather dress is a lovely fit and I bought size 10 in them all and my boobs fit nicely in the dresses. 💪🏻

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar Thank you for the reminder. Im just packing for Portugal and I had completely forgotten about the new bikini I bought in July. Found it and packed it!
'Only' going for 6 days (feel very lucky though), so having to choose between dresses in my lovely summer wardrobe is a tough decision.
Looking forward to sliding gracefully into that airplane seat, not bulging into my neighbours space, and doing up that seat belt without waving my arms around, stretching it to its full length!

My 'pampering' was a bit painful. I decided that my top lip needed waxing. It seems to be more obviously furry now my face is slimmer. Boy does that smart!!

Having bought some winter jumpers last week, I also decided to get the M rather than S. It's always tempting to get as small as possible just because I can, but DD was on hand to advise what actually looked better.

Wow @Mounjaropen that is some slinky number. What a joy that will be to wear.

These are all lovely! My favourite is the knitted asymmetric hem dress - it’s stunning! Now you’ve got me wondering whether I should brave getting one. You temptress! 😆

(And it wouldn’t be the first purchase inspired by this thread! It’s been more useful for me than any of the other style and beauty threads!)

Aww thanks. The height of the thinner knitted hem part on the dress is quite high - borderline risqué so bear that in mind if you fancy it for a work to evening outfit. I like it though - I feel quite daring in it 😂

Style and Beauty these days is a bit of a fight club IMO - up there with AIBU 🙄

Ooh - have you tried dermaplaning? Far less painful than waxing. I don’t think it matters what size jumper you buy as long as it fits well. Enjoy! And the new bikini! And have a fab holiday!

Glad to be of service! I’m only going for three nights and have 7 bikinis - I figure that’s a morning swim, then lunch, then a dry bikini for an afternoon swim, plus one extra just in case.

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 16/09/2025 21:00

7 bikinis 😂😂😂 @TooExtraImmatureCheddar I doubt I have owned 7 bikinis over my lifetime. Being a tad too chunky I only ever had one costume/tankini as I doubted I wanted to get into a pool too often , now I think it’s outrageous that I have two swimsuits

@Mounjaropen Very are now trying to work out why there is so much web traffic visiting those dresses 😂

And tonight, dear friends, I started a local couch 2 5k course. Week 1 Run 1 done ✔️ I was going to do it last year but thought my knees wouldn’t cope running with 16 stone 12lb but now I am 5 stone lighter it feels achievable. I am hoping that C25K will help me shift my last stone and a half.
