Welcome to thread lucky number 13!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we have had the BEST Summer in years as we are all significantly lighter.

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W42 D1 and on w2 of my first titrating down pen of 5.0mg

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 6.0lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far 61.0 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

I also got a denim jumpsuit on vinted this weekend but can't decide if mine is more mechanic than stylish! Love a jumpsuit

Throw accessories at it I reckon 😉 And wear it if you love it!

I’ve just finished ‘The Guest’ on BBC and now I want everything in Eve Myles’ wardrobe 😂

A lovely NSV this weekend - I got a gorgeous 70s-style denim jumpsuit off Vinted and I’ve been wearing it around feeling like I’ve escaped from Charlie’s Angels. 😁

That sounds joyous 🥰

I wanted to be Farrah Fawcet 😆

Lovely to hear from you @JasonTindallsTan Wow about the B12 hopefully that kicks in really quickly. Interesting about the Metformin link - wonder if there is something in the MJ which is causing a similar reaction in some. I had my B12 tested in May (GP did a raft of tests before starting me on a HRT trial to rule out other stuff) and it came back normal (well, in the middle of normal range, and the range is HUGE).

I found the summer tricky for weight loss for a number of reasons. We are now in September, back to school season, which always feels like a new beginning to me for some reason (more so than January), we can crack this!

@TheSlimmingPumpkin love the new name!

@RayonSunrise I avoided jumpsuits for years because I just looked dreadful in the them, but have now embraced them too! Started with a couple of denim 70s style ones too (Joe Brown’s flared / bootcut) (also vinted!) and then a splurge on a different style from Scamp & Dude (in the sale, but not Vinted prices). Have since got a lovely navy polkadot (!) M&S one from Vinted which I also love. I’ve found them incredibly flattering which I would never have imagined. Praise be to trizepatide.

Had my maintenance preparation call with Oushk yesterday. It went well, and I must admit I am impressed with the flexibility of their different plans, and how you can switch through them as you need to. Think I will move to them in a couple of months (I told her about my mini stockpile from Boots).

In other news this viral airway nonsense is persisting (seems to be tonsillitis 😕) but after a rough couple of days (ibuprofen and paracetamol are helping) I feel a bit less rubbish today. DH seems to have avoided it thankfully, but he did have his tonsils removed in the 70s!

It’s me 🎃PumpkinForever 🎃, ringer of klaxons 🔔📣 - I mucked up my account in swopping emails. 🙄

so I have decided to be TheSlimmingPumpkin as I am 5 stone lighter than when I started. Probably more of a squash now rather than a pumpkin😆

Anyway

  • being a shorty a jumpsuit definitely puts me in the mechanic group
  • I used to watch Charlie’s Angels back in the day
  • Not sure if I can nail the Ms MoneyPenny look either, maybe the tea trolley lady
  • selling on Vinted in my new gym fix. Each time something sells it gives me a great excuse to get my 10k steps in by walking into town. So anything size 16 and above is fair game and I now have lots of space in my wardrobe.
  • I will need a new Rab winter coat but I am going to wait and see what size I end up as if I lose another stone.

Haha, a butternut squash forever! Long may it continue 💪

All this talk of vegetables is reminding me of the old Babycentre pregnancy updates - anyone else’s remember them? Every week they’d tell you how big your baby was getting by comparing them to fruit or veg - a plum, an avocado, etc… I’d hate to think what I’d have to compare my strapping 20-year-old to now. 🤣

Like @MounjaropenI am also a pessimist so I have moved all my size 14+ stuff upstairs. On reflection I probably don’t need to keep ALL of it though. Maybe I’ll sort through this weekend.

Farrah Fawcett was iconic, wasn’t she? I longed for that hair. 🤣

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 10/09/2025 09:31

The hours I spent trying to get my whisps to look like Farah’s gorgeous mane 🙄

I have pushed my maintenance call to mid November as I want to be closer to having a BMI of 25. I will have to confess to a smaller stockpile then😂 @Goldleafcat

My size 14 stuff I will ‘store’ just in case. I just don’t want to be in the bigger size ranges again.

Well, I didn’t admit to the additional ones I have from the bonus dose 😆

I have stashed a couple of nicer items in bigger sizes in the attic for now, and will probably add a few more as I (hopefully!) continue downwards on the scales. I was more than happy to donate a lot of stuff I couldn’t bare to look at anymore and the good stuff went on vinted. I’ve had a slightly frustrating discovery of lots of bits new with tags in my wardrobe I got last year which were too small at the time and are now too big. Some lovely dresses. More to be listed!

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 10/09/2025 14:52

And what is really annoying is new stuff I purchased as I thought I would slim into it which is now too big. A couple of items I would have like in a smaller size are sold out in the sales at size 12 and even size 10. I have put a couple of things with tags still on them up on Vinted today and one sold within minutes. So that’s another great excuse to get some steps in!

I can’t afford to put weight back on again 😂. I am now between 12 and 14 for lots of places (except Zara which is a scary place and I can’t go in there). Stuff that is well worn goes to recycling bank. If stuff doesn’t sell on Vinted within a few weeks then it’s taken down and taken to charity shop.

Mounjaropen · 10/09/2025 16:11

Oushk have sent me an email offering a discount on an order as they have dropped their prices for 24hours. You can stack deals on top of the offer. I thought I'd share in case anyone has more joy than me because I'm not actually certain that I'm getting the best price for either a 2.5mg or 5.0mg. And my third order discount code is not working. You can specify a future delivery date though. The wording from the email is below:

We’re dropping prices across all weight loss treatments for the next 24 hours only – and yes, you can stack your own discount code on top!
Save up to £50 (e.g. 15mg now priced at £289 plus £15 standard discount code = £51 off - making it cheapest in the market!)
Limited stock available – once it’s gone, prices return to normal
Plan ahead – use the date selector at checkout to receive your medication when needed, especially if you've already had more than 2 pens in the last 30 days.

All sales are final. Refunds and exchanges are subject to our T&Cs.
24-HOUR PRICE DROP – STARTS NOW!*
While Stock Lasts
Your order will only
be approved if you have completed a BMI verification in the last 6 months.

Hope this is useful to someone!

Is that still valid, @Mounjaropen? I have that email from the 8th (24h only). I had no idea Oushk was still issuing discount codes, but then I’m not one of the Circle users. 😂

MagnoliaTreePetals · 10/09/2025 17:44

Weighing in day

SW 16.5
CW 11.2
TWL 5st 3
BMI 23.7

Still aiming to maintain. Currently on 12.5 mg. Last time I jabbed 9 days apart.
I lost just under half a pound, & am taking that as a win on the maintenance front, so this week I will jab 10 days apart.

Off to Portugal next week for a few days, and to enjoy my new summer wardrobe for just a little longer.

I am injecting 2 days before I go so that I keep things under control, but not taking it with me, so will have a few days when I can be a bit more relaxed. It's all trial and error (hopefully success) at this stage!

Just received email with discount code from MedExpress….

Use code 30SEPT8391 at checkout for £30 off.

Hope you feel better today. I don’t know anyone born in the 70’s with a still-functioning set of tonsils. Hasn’t done me much harm not having any though. They do seem like a high maintenance massive PITA body organ 😂

Weigh-in day!

SW: 93kg (14st 6)
CW: 67.2kg (10st 6)
GW: 63.5kg (10st)

Definitely closing in on goal now. I have ordered next month’s pen and scheduled my maintenance call. A new phase awaits!

I really hope I don’t have to confirm my height every time I order a maintenance dose. This time I ignored the plea for photo evidence as I’ve uploaded proof more than once already. It’s not like my height is changing as my weight goes down. 😂

I am so enjoying getting into clothes again. I love fashion but my up-down weight cycles have quite an impact on both how into it I am, and how much I feel I can “invest” in pieces when I fear I won’t be able to wear them for a few years at a time - what size to get them in, etc. I am hesitant to go too mad just yet, but I am hankering to replace my very worn leather jacket from around 15 years ago. I’d like something very buttery-soft with simple lines, and I notice the 90s-style racer jackets are back. Tempting, but I also have a young person heading off to uni so there’s only so much I can spend on myself these days!

random223 · 11/09/2025 07:54

Accidentally (!) ate four doughnuts yesterday. First massive willpower fail since November. Weighed in this morning for first time at 9 st 13. Madness!!

Iwantniceclothes · 11/09/2025 08:13

Hi all, I lurk on this thread a lot and you’re all so encouraging in what you’ve achieved! It’s just fabulous! I’ve actually been on the death jabs a year already but I think I’m what’s called a low responder.
SW 15st 6lbs
CW 12st 13lbs
I’m on 10mg and unfortunately get a fair few side effects but less benefit. It still works though.
I’m kind of ok with the slow loss. It’s much, much more than I’ve achieved by myself and it’s given me space to think about all the times I eat that have nothing to do with hunger. That’s the main reason I’m fat really, regulating myself through the day.
Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for your really positive thread, it encourages me to keep going when it looks like nothing much is happening!

Jellybaby30 · 11/09/2025 08:49

I'm still suffering from a couple of days of diarrhea, it's a less triumphant 5 stone loss achieved than I'd hoped for as not how I'd want to achieve it but anyway I started at 18 St 13 and currently 13 St 12. 12lb ish to go to goaal which seems v unreal. I jabbed 11mg on Sunday and boy do I regret it, though had been a slow increase from 10, so I'm thinking I'll wait a few extra days if necessary and then jab? 7.5 or maybe 8 to let my body recover. I think it has been MJ related because of the awful sulphur smell and burps. Today I'll be on existing on dioralyte and maybe some plain rice.
Re vinted I get such a thrill, esp selling nicer bits. @Mounjaropen when you upload pics and description they show you what other sellers have sold the same items for. I've even been selling coffee pots and unwanted gifts eg wallet, bracelet
