@Mounjaropen @Goldleafcat Indeed!! I mean 8lb in 8 weeks of course 🤣 The other would have let me to need medical attention!
I think I need to really tone it down with the MJ and look to eat more and nutritious food, and see what happens. Whether I gain weight back or not.
I think the 1lb a day with cardio is an oddity of my body and not related to effort. I wanted to lose weight at a reasonable pace, max 2lb per week. However, anytime I did any cardio (mine are high energy dancing or going for a big hike), I lost one extra pound over 24h and it stayed off, not just fluctuation. So the weeks I’d do any cardio beyond basic walking, I’d lose 4-5lb that never came back.
This is why I’ve stayed off cardio these 6-12 months, as it seems to make me lose lots of weight far too fast.
Ive lost weight 2x times before and both of those times, I only did swimming and walking long distances, a bit of dance, nothing crazy, and lost lots of weight quickly. So feel like my body just tends to lose very efficiently when any cardio is involved.
Therefore will keep it in my back pocket if I come off meds and weight starts coming back, as a first tool to see if I can stabilise that way before going back on the meds.
So. I’ve kept a pair of jeans back from my modelling days when I was 15 years old. That was the heroin chic era, too. These jeans have NEVER fitted me. I decided to try them on for a laugh this morning. The jeans fit! I thought I’d never ever get back into them.
HOWEVER. Considering that clothes of a skinny teen model now fit me as a 40-yo woman… I do really think it’s time to stop even though I’ve not achieved my initial goal weight. If I push any more, and go through days on nothing more than an egg, that’s no longer healthy weight loss, that’s an ED.
My health is amazing and I’ll be forever grateful to MJ. I never, ever thought this would be me.
I have a couple of other life updates where MJ has played a big role, but perhaps those are to be shared at a later date 😇
Ladies, you’re all wonderful. I’ll keep posting about maintenance and how my calorie increase journey is going.
