Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we have had the BEST Summer in years as we are all significantly lighter.

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W42 D1 and on w2 of my first titrating down pen of 5.0mg

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 6.0lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far 61.0 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

I said this week that I'm hardly losing any weight anymore, but I've actually lost 8st in 8 weeks, which I think is a really healthy losing pace.

@Mounjaropen Not going to lie, Italy as a slim person is a different experience. I met with my male accountant over lunch and he told me in great detail the efforts he makes to stay slim, thinking I would be able to relate - I doubt he would have had this conversation with the obese me! Is it that slim people tell each other secrets about how they stay slim, and lie to everyone else? 😂

For me, actually, the appetite disappeared gradually, i.e. first few months I had 3 meals a day, just smaller portions, and lost 2-4st a week, but 10 months in and I'm able to get to the evening without eating anything or feeling hungry. I'm currently 'off the meds', so 2 weeks since last injection, and still no appetite.

The only difference I feel that I don't have the energy to lift heavy weights when I've not eaten, therefore I force myself to eat pasta etc in the 24h before training sessions.

When I was bigger, I used to think I looked about a size 12, and now that I am an Italian XS, apparently, I think I look about a size 12. Body dysmorphia is a funny thing!

And Bond St is also my happy place... 💃

However, as I've said, I think my body has stayed broadly the same throughout the summer, there is no real health benefit in losing more weight, and I need to get more nutrients in. I have 1x 7.5 pen left, so think I'll use it to drop down to 5mg and see what happens. I understand about the expiry dates but I don't think it'll affect things that much.

I'll probably buy a 2.5mg pen to keep back in case I need meds at any point in the winter if weight starts creeping up.

I also have room to up my step count, as my regime is a high protein, low carb diet and lifting heavy weights, but not much cardio. I found that cardio made me drop a pound a day, and found that too much. So if I feel the need to regulate my weight further off the meds, upping stepcount and doing more dancing should do the trick.

I am mostly keen to start eating a little more though, and seeing how my body handles that.

Well Italy sounds fabulous! Enjoy! No idea if slim people have a secret code.. I shall enjoy finding out as time goes on 😂

I think you may have had a couple of Proseccos before posting some of the WL claims though because 2-4st a week is impressive 😆

Weighing in.

W44D7
SW: 19st 9lbs
CW:14st 12lbs
1st GW: 17st 13lbs
2nd GW 15st 4lbs
3rd GW: 13st 9lbs
TL: 4st 12lb

Fuck a duck, that's a pound back on, which wasn't the plan! Onwards and downwards though - I might just need to be a bit more focused while I'm on 2.5.
Poo test two came back negative for IBD, so I'll see what this week's GP visit brings.

Glad your poo tests are negative 🙌

1lb on is a mere 💩 away. I wouldn’t stress..

I'm now 3lb off my goal weight and starting to think about how to stabilise rather than continue to lose. I've lost 1lb in the last week so well on track for my maintenance call where I plan to ask about switching to Wegovy. I may start at the bottom again and see where I land to maintain at my goal

Ooh be interested to hear about the switch! Keep us informed 🥰

Just back from an all inclusive cruise holiday. Plus 3lbs this morning but I am going to shift that in the next week with exercise and not stuffing my face. I wasn’t the thinnest on the cruise but I was way off being the chunkiest. The airline seatbelt had lots of extra slack and I didn’t mind sitting in the middle given there was 5 stone less of me. But I had to stop myself saying to some that they should consider WLI as I genuinely feel so much better in myself.

Funny in that the first thing I did coming back was to weigh myself which is something I would never have done pre-MJ. And I know I will shift it quickly before getting onto the stone and a half I still have to move. I had a great time and just don’t feel guilty about the food at all.

Well that sounds like you had all the wins on your lovely holiday! 3lbs is pretty good for an AI cruise I’d say 💪💪

Having had the dilemma a few weeks ago about whether to continue to lose in order to try and get rid of the persistent roll on my lower abdomen, I decided to stop and switch to maintaining as I did not want to lose any more from my face or boobs!
Since then I have been focussing on exercises every morning that I have borrowed from yoga/pilates and I have already noticed my tummy toning up more.
I have to be quite careful as the 'wrong' exercise causes my hip to flare up (very dodgy hip following some childhood trauma), and the traditional core exercises like planks etc give me instant nasty reflux.
So Im pleased to have found a moderate, albeit probably quite slow, way of helping tone up a bit more.

Off now for a swim which always helps me physically as well as mentally.

It's Friday, and it's stopped raining Down South! I hope you all have a happy weekend!

I’ve noticed my tummy apron is diminishing from Pvolve too. Keep at it! 💪

6 1/2 stone off now, CW 10st 2.6lbs, BMI 22.9. It's been a long time since my weight was this low, I tend to hover more around 11st.

I'm really not trying to lose any more, I'm still on 10mg but extending it out to jabbing every 9 days and when I finish this pen I'll be going down to 7.5mg and going back down through the doses.

The size 10 jeans are mostly a bit big now but I expect I'll gain a bit back as everything settles so I won't be getting rid of them.

🎉 That’s incredible!

How are you finding it when spacing out the doses? I’m thinking this may be my plan when I reach GW and thoughts turn to maintenance.

evilharpy · 06/09/2025 08:52

I've only been doing it a couple of weeks so far but haven't noticed any real difference yet. I have never all along noticed the effects tailing off when I've been due to jab though. Maybe I'll notice a bigger difference when I start reducing the dose.

Goldleafcat · 06/09/2025 08:54

Good morning!

Happy Saturday!

I have finally hit the 5 stone milestone! Wahoo!

Quick recap:
Female, mid 40s
Height 5 ft 6
SW 16 stone 7lbs
CW 11 stone 6.8lbs
1st GW 11 stone
Stretch GW 10 stone 7lbs

Total loss to date 70lbs.

Anything starting with an 11 on the scales seemed an absolute pipe dream back in November. I didn’t think my goal weight of 11 stone was achievable but now I’m only half a stone away it’s a bit surreal. My BMI is 26 (down from 37.4 back when I started). Judging how my body is now, I could definitely stand to lose at least another stone, but I want to build more muscle too.

From my heaviest ever weight, I’m down at least 8.5 stone. My BMI was over 45. Quite a difference. Weirdly, apart from feeling uncomfortable (both physically and psychologically) I didn’t really have any negative side effects of carrying that weight at the time (normal blood pressure etc, and I would walk here there and everywhere if on holiday for example), but I think that might be because I was a lot younger at the time. Suspect that might not the case now. I did however have a propensity to fall over and twist / sprain my ankles! At the most inconvenient times too!

Have a lovely weekend everyone. DS has a viral airway infection so struggling a bit but a lot better than he was yesterday (he was like a little radiator which Calpol and ibuprofen could barely touch!). The GP wasn’t too concerned which was a bit of a relief. Lots of snuggles and treats.

evilharpy · 06/09/2025 08:59

Woo 5 stone klaxon for @Goldleafcat 🥳

Hope the wee man is on the mend soon!

DarkForces · 06/09/2025 09:02

I fell from the wagon last night and had wine and half a box of chocolate. Pre mj I'd have woken up starving but now I'm still full. The slower digestion is blooming incredible. You can slip but easily recover. (I know that it's fine to eat chocolate occasionally but it used to lead to this awful hunger spiral and now it doesn't. It's transformed my relationship with food).

MagnoliaTreePetals · 06/09/2025 09:34

Absolutely brilliant @Goldleafcat 5 stone!! congratulations, its an awesome achievement.

I am just about to jab after a 9 day gap and I have not felt nearly as hungry/food-noisy as I expected, over the past couple of days.
I always felt a bit of a drop on day 6 and/or 7, so I thought I would have 4 days of needing a late afternoon snack, but that hasn't happened.

In fact jabbing lass often means that I am not too sure what day I'm actually on. Monday/Tuesdays were always day 6/7 so I slightly expected something. but there isn't that weekly routine any more so maybe it was slightly in my mind.
I have also felt much less of a SE kick-back by spacing out the doses, perhaps because there is less MJ in my system by day 9.
So, so far so good!

Happy weekend luxury death jabbers!

Congratulations @goldleafcat 🎊💪🏻 Fantastic achievement!

So I'm pondering a few things this morning...

  1. Goal weight. I'm 5ft 7 and when I started MJ at 15 stone (jesus, i cant believe i was that heavy) I just wanted to be 12 stone. But that quickly turned to 11st and now there's a 10 on the scales! But now I'm wondering if I should/could aim for a 9 🤔 I feel pretty good where I am...size 12 is mostly too big but I need a bit more off for size 10s to be my go-to. It's tricky isn't it!
  1. I think I'm going to cancel my gym membership. I don't really enjoy going anymore and I'm not being consistent. I used to go 4 times a week religiously, but it's just not delivering the endorphins anymore. I keep thinking about digging out my running shoes and getting back into jogging. Then I can dust off my kettlebells for at home work outs. I hate wasting money so it seems a bit pointless to be paying for a gym that I don't even like!

I'm thinking about how I make sure I have really solid habits in place before I begin tapering off the jabs. Until the price hikes I was happy to stay on a low dose forever, but I dont know how financially viable that will be. Of course I could switch to Wegovy and see how a low dose of that works out but at this point I'd rather not bother with the faff....time will tell.

I do think a lot of the hunger I get by day 6 is in my head though. It's that Friday feeling, surviving the week and feeling like a deserve a treat! Need to work on that mindset and find something else to reward myself with other than food!

To misquote Peter Kay - 8 stone in 8 weeks! 😱

Sorry I guessed it was 8lbs in 8 weeks. Which is awesome. An XS is also amazing!

I totally had body dysmorphia. Interesting about the lack of appetite. How are you feeling about that? Definitely focus on the nutritional food.

Sounds like you’re doing really well. A lb a day loss with cardio sounds incredible- what cardio were you doing?

@Mounjaropen @Goldleafcat Indeed!! I mean 8lb in 8 weeks of course 🤣 The other would have let me to need medical attention!

I think I need to really tone it down with the MJ and look to eat more and nutritious food, and see what happens. Whether I gain weight back or not.

I think the 1lb a day with cardio is an oddity of my body and not related to effort. I wanted to lose weight at a reasonable pace, max 2lb per week. However, anytime I did any cardio (mine are high energy dancing or going for a big hike), I lost one extra pound over 24h and it stayed off, not just fluctuation. So the weeks I’d do any cardio beyond basic walking, I’d lose 4-5lb that never came back.

This is why I’ve stayed off cardio these 6-12 months, as it seems to make me lose lots of weight far too fast.

Ive lost weight 2x times before and both of those times, I only did swimming and walking long distances, a bit of dance, nothing crazy, and lost lots of weight quickly. So feel like my body just tends to lose very efficiently when any cardio is involved.

Therefore will keep it in my back pocket if I come off meds and weight starts coming back, as a first tool to see if I can stabilise that way before going back on the meds.

So. I’ve kept a pair of jeans back from my modelling days when I was 15 years old. That was the heroin chic era, too. These jeans have NEVER fitted me. I decided to try them on for a laugh this morning. The jeans fit! I thought I’d never ever get back into them.

HOWEVER. Considering that clothes of a skinny teen model now fit me as a 40-yo woman… I do really think it’s time to stop even though I’ve not achieved my initial goal weight. If I push any more, and go through days on nothing more than an egg, that’s no longer healthy weight loss, that’s an ED.

My health is amazing and I’ll be forever grateful to MJ. I never, ever thought this would be me.

I have a couple of other life updates where MJ has played a big role, but perhaps those are to be shared at a later date 😇

Ladies, you’re all wonderful. I’ll keep posting about maintenance and how my calorie increase journey is going.

MagnoliaTreePetals · 06/09/2025 16:21

Yes please @LindtCurves keep posting. It does seem that you have a good assessment of your situation. I know that for some people MJ really does stop them eating almost entirely.
I have not found that; I feel a bit hungry at meal times, but joy of joys, no hunger in-between meals, nor the 'food-noise' urges to eat just because food exists!

It's quite amazing that those skinny jeans now fit you! Wow!
Looking forward to the other life updates...... Don't keep us guessing too long! 😀😁🤗
