Welcome to thread lucky number 13!

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we list old clothes on vinted, give thanks for MJ as we have had the BEST Summer in years as we are all significantly lighter.

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and our lowest stone brackets!

I’m on W42 D1 and on w2 of my first titrating down pen of 5.0mg

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 6.0lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far 61.0 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

I went to the gym yesterday, only did 10mins on the bike but that’s ten minutes more than every other day the last ten years. Today I walked 7.5 miles. Couldn’t have done that six months ago.
Didnt particularly enjoy either, wish I was the type who liked exercise but I don’t think I ever will. It really is luck what gene combination, hormone reaction we get to food and exercise.

Ive no idea how I can be obsessive over food in both extremes like others here but not be an alcoholic, or addict of some other form.

Holiday is having rubbish weather so far. Hoping for sun tomorrow

Well done on the biking and walking activities 👏👏👏 Sorry to hear about the rubbish weather, fingers crossed it improves for you.

I definitely had an issue with wine so I’m very thankful for MJ in cutting my consumption considerably these past 8+ months.

Checking in to report on how maintenance is going. I've titrated down to 7.5 and going 8 days between jabs. I'm on week 3 of 7.5 and it's going ok. I'm eating a bit more and actually look forward to mealtimes now. I'm eating breakfast and dinner but trying to skip lunch, weight is fairly stable. Last weigh in was 8st 2 lbs.

Delivery due on Friday for 7.5 from oushk is arriving today so they seem to be catching up. Luckily I selected Royal Mail who'll deliver to safe place as I'm in the office today

MsRumpole · 02/09/2025 08:29

@PresidentBarklett this is AMAZING 🙌

KentishMama · 02/09/2025 08:48

I just tried on my ski trousers from last winter. I had already lost about ten kg when I bought them, so I thought they might be loose, but okay. Ummm... No. I actually can't believe how oversized they were. I guess I'll need new ones!

MagnoliaTreePetals · 02/09/2025 09:21

That's great news @PresidentBarklett How wonderful to see that new number on the scales, and it's a 10! Wow!

Great update @Dreamqueen It's really good to know how your maintenance is going and what you are doing dose-wise. I'm in my first week of maintenance and feeling just a little on edge about not putting on, so it's great to know first hand it works.

Loose ski trousers are not ideal on the ski slopes @KentishMama!!!, not only for the possibility of displaying one's undergarments, but also being slightly hampered as they fall down on your way down. I'm sure you are going to love skiing even more, now that you can whizz down those slopes, slimmer and in your new, new trousers!

RayonSunrise · 02/09/2025 09:28

Congrats @PresidentBarklett!

Sneaky peak OMG - it starts with a 9 !!

9st 13.8 but still 😀
I won't claim it until I see it at my weekend weigh-in as have been hoovering around 10 stone for several weeks.
The last time I weighed under 10 stone was in the early 90s.
Only one dose of MJ left in the fridge though so hope I can get a pen this week.

MagnoliaTreePetals · 02/09/2025 11:27

Woo-Hoo @random223 , a 9 on the scales! Definitely take it! I hope your next pen arrives OK. It's a bit stressful at the moment with all the stock issues.

evilharpy · 02/09/2025 13:01

Wow @random223 that's amazing! I haven't seen a 9 at the start of my weight since 2005!

RayonSunrise · 02/09/2025 13:25

Ha - I don’t think I’ve weighed under 10 stone or worn anything smaller than a medium since I was a child! That’s being tall, I guess.

I am down to 68.5kg today (10 stone 7), so getting close to my goal of 63kg (10 stone). Upping my weights & running as my dose drops back to 7.5mg. I don’t mind losing this last bit slowly while I bake in my maintenance habits.

This is brill! Well done!

Early 90s for me too, probably as a 12 year old. I remember being pleased to get back to 10 stone exactly when I was 14!

Everything crossed for your pen.

I’ve got a Peloton treadmill so can’t help you with walking pads, but I’d suggest one with an incline will definitely be more versatile. I use mine daily to achieve a walking speed of up to 4.5mph and inclines of 5% but I do rack it up to 11 for a quick burst at the end. The key is consistency with whatever you choose and a gentle increase every week - 0.5 increase in incline and an increase in speed of 0.1 mph each week. I’d suggest a 30min walk to start with and then increase by 5mins a week to get to 45-50mins. I usually choose a box set to work through whilst on the tread to make the time pass more quickly.

so in essence choose something that can give you enough speed to get your cardiovascular system working.

Good luck!

@Mounjaropen Great advice - thank you for your time.

@RayonSunrise I went with a fairly reasonably priced one from Amazon with lots of good reviews. Arrives tomorrow- I’ll let you know how it performs (probably better than me!!)

Just 1lb from having a 9 at the beginning. July 2022 was 15 stone 10 and at 5’2’’ in thick socks I was morbidly obese. Started with you all last November at 14.6. Hopefully the new walking pad will help, especially over the winter 🤞

BobberleeBeaner · 02/09/2025 16:17

@random223 congratulations on the 9! 🎉👏🎉👏🎉👏

Klaxon. 10 stone 13 lbs!

Finally!

Oooh that's fabulous @presidentBarklett Bravo!! New stone klaxon for you!

SerenePeer · 02/09/2025 18:35

Oh my goodness @kentishmama you'll be swooshing down the slopes, a whisp of a thing in a skin tight ski suit looking like a Bond girl at this rate!

And another new stone klaxon for @random123 🔔💃 How fabulous to be in the nines! I can't remember ever being a 9 so it must have been before I was even aware of my weight! 😳 Well done!

Still keeping side affects at arms length thankfully and the unexpected potatoes from yesterday didn't haunt me thankfully. Appetite suppression is off the chart though. I grabbed a pot of greek yogurt at 2pm today when I realised it had been over 24 hours since the potatoes and only notices at 5pm that I only had half of it 😳 Forced down a banana just to get some nutrition in me, as well as some berries but I still have no desire to eat anything at all. Weigh in this week will be interesting!

In positive news, I had a face to face meeting with colleagues today who haven't seen me in person since February and their reaction was textbook 😆 All women, similar age (40s and 50s) "omg you're disappearing! You look amazing! What's your secret?". Managed to fob them off by telling them I was using a treadmill under my desk and had stopped eating after 7pm. Thankfully one of them commented that she thought I sometimes sounded breathless on calls so that must be why! 😳

BlueWalker · 02/09/2025 18:48

I went out for food today with work colleagues. Had the most hipster, bougie lunch I think I have ever had - smashed avocado with poached egg, salad-y stuff and bits and chilli flakes on sourdough. It was under 500 cals and absolutely delicious, also looked so pretty millennials would have taken a picture but my Gen X self didn't even think about it. But it is so much easier these days to go out for food on the spur of the moment and still make (and more importantly be drawn to) 'healthier' choices. Go me and my death jab brain chemistry rewiring.

RayonSunrise · 02/09/2025 20:25

I love an avocado toast, @BlueWalker. It’s the avo-chilli-lime combo that gets me - not sure I even need the egg.

This week I am, er, “inspired” by my cholesterol level and am eating mostly plants. I’ve decided to try the “30 plants a week” thing and so far am smashing it - probably because even peppercorns count as a plant point as long as you only count it once! It’s made me feel accomplished. No idea if will do anything for my cholesterol, but it makes me feel like I’m doing something.

SerenePeer · 03/09/2025 07:40

Oooh love an avocado on toast @BlueWalker

Who has the key for the klaxon cupboard? I need 2 down from the shelf today!! 🎊

New stone bracket - now into the 10 stone one whoop whoop!

AND 4 stone lost klaxon!!

I would be more excited but I have the dentist in a hour to have some work done and I'm not looking forward to it at all. I have a broken tooth (old root canal weakened the tooth) and it's being rebuilt today 😭 Sending brave girl vibes please.

Gets the stepladder and takes down two shiny gold klaxons for @SerenePeer ! 🎉 Congrats that’s awesome!

Good luck with the dentist, thinking of you.

I have a root canal which has failed and needs sorting at some point (minor abscess situation), it’s not hurting at the moment so I’m sticking my head in the sand!

All the best.
