Mine have started asking questions, since their inspection, when there has been longer than 4 week gaps between my orders, I’ve (allegedly) skipped doses for illness, wedding, holiday etc. which they have accepted, they also say if I have bought from elsewhere they need a copy of the dated prescription for their records to show continuous prescribing.

Oushk? Interesting… I’ve been using a 7.5 but only taking 5 as I’m moving down in maintenance, still loosing weight even though I don’t want to, so far I’ve stuck to monthly orders but was planning to push out to 6 weeks, maybe that won’t be an option, although it will be interesting to see what the planned changes are to maintenance, hopefully they will say soon.
I had hoped to end up splitting 2.5 as earlier in the year it seemed like they might support microdosing but it seems like things keep changing in the WLI environment.

ThatCyanSheep · 20/08/2025 22:14

I’m finding the wait for prices to be released quite interesting now. It’s clear there’s huge negotiations going on right now, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it evens out quite close to the original pricing.

KrankyKumquat · 20/08/2025 22:21

@WeAllHaveWings and @Itscoldouthere
Last time I ordered before the price issues, I said I was going to try 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off on 2.5mg and it was agreed (or at least, it wasn't queried). I actually do 6x2mg. I know there's a bit more leeway with 2.5 and 5 so think that's why they were ok with it.

I can see them potentially supporting partial doses (I don’t see that as microdosing), but not publicly. I don’t see them supporting going beyond the 30 day in use period. It all depends on how much scope they have for off licence prescribing and the GPhC

They did say in one Q&A they don’t recommend one month on, on month off as consistently maintaining blood sugars is preferable, but said some customers have ask to try, for financial reasons and they support it, so that might be a way use up stockpiles, by not ordering but still injecting.

Hi, it is with Juniper. I have decided to switch to Wegovy and opted to change supplier in the process. Juniper are not the cheapest, but I liked the cut of their jib and it feels like they are not just trying to sell me stuff. Other options are available !

I realise most people don't want to switch to Wegovy, but I am happy to slow down my loss over time and I'd prefer some stability right now.

I found med express a bit pushy and combative.

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 20/08/2025 22:36

Just from my own experience, I'd always do consistent smaller doses rather than have breaks. I started out super responsive, it was the miracle that so many have experienced. I then had to take a break due to a false gallstone alarm and have never got the suppression or zero food noise back, despite increasing doses. There's enough people reporting reduced sensitivity after a break on Reddit for it to look like a potential risk.

I'm doing 12.5 from a 15 pen and I'm glad I am in this situation.

I've tried ordering a few pens and none of mine have been approved and heard nothing. Orders placed Thursday evening and Friday. So annoying when the money has been taken. IQ doctor, who in a returning customer to asked me for proof of current prescription which I provided Friday then get back to be Tuesday saying it's not sufficient I need to provide box with displays name, dose and date which I did 😭 I re-sent picture and said it clearly has all of these on and I expect to hear back from them in another 5 days. I really hope I get at least one of of my pens!

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 21/08/2025 05:10

Where else have you ordered from, @sociallydistained? As the Thursday/Friday orders do seem to be trickling through, or at least approval emails for them. Apart from Farmeci, who appear to have gone on holiday to avoid the chaos!

My farmeci order is coming today! I was a new customer and ordered a 3 pen bundle last Friday, clinician called yesterday to clarify some medical info and I got the royal mail tracking an hour later. Relieved 🙏🏽

Many will hope you are correct!

DancingBeeGirl · 21/08/2025 07:12

Had my shipping confirmation from Signature on behalf of Lotus overnight, so they really do seem to be getting through the orders.

The order I placed with Medicine Marketplace (usual provider) on Friday morning is still just sitting there nearly a week later with no updates at all! The money has gone though. So I am very pleased that I at least have the Lotus order. I think they’ve been pretty good through this whole drama and I like their communication, so I am seriously considering switching.

JustPinkFinch · 21/08/2025 07:26

My pharmacy now out of stock for everything except 2.5mg. I hadn't ordered yet, as I am out most days at the moment due to the summer hols and can't take a delivery.

My next choice going by the https://click.compare/mounjaro/ website is going to be Fylde. They've got their Sept prices up too. Stock seems OK.

Fylde Sept:
2.5mg - £139
5mg - £175
7.5mg - £215
10mg - £240
12.5mg - £260
15mg - £275

MynameisJune · 21/08/2025 07:27

I ordered from MMP last Friday too and it’s just sat there saying processing.

If the latest rumours about stock being withheld by Lilly are true then I’m expecting it to be cancelled.

It’s a very shit thing of Eli Lilly to do. I don’t know how they’re allowed to do that

This is worrying re the food noise after a break, and makes me even more pissed that EL have caused all this carnage.

I’m wondering if it’s the wholesalers who are doing this?
It was said that part of the price problem was some wholesalers were taking UK allocated stock and selling in to Europe to make a profit, obviously don’t know if this is true or not, but the wholesalers hold the supply that the pharmacies need, if they withhold till the price rise they will make more money.

Correction, the box arrived today and it includes bluetooth scales to use in their app, along with a guide booklet for the med and a weight loss programme guide too. If I was staying on mounjaro, I'd opt to be with these guys. Feels a world of difference more professional and rigorous than med express.

Can I ask why a pharmacy being more professional and rigorous is a big deal for you - it’s the same drug no matter where you get it from so surely price and availability are more important to most people?

Exactly the same for me. I wouldn’t mind if we’d had some comms saying they’re snowed under etc. but there has been nothing. I was so conflicted about switching and ordering elsewhere in all the drama but I’m so pleased I did.

I think like everything with GLP-1 meds, it’s so variable. Someone I’ve followed for ages on Instagram found that after she had a lengthy break for skin removal surgery, she was able to get good, long-term suppression from 5mg (obviously having had to start at 2.5 again) having previously been on 15mg.

But yes, it’s just another worry isn’t it? I’ve stopped again, this time for surgery. Although it turns out it depends on the anaesthetist. Was told at my pre-op that some now don’t require you to stop, some want a week off. But I was already off as I couldn’t find out in advance and I didn’t want to jeopardise the surgery.

I joined Voy for the first couple of months for similar reasons. I wanted a pharmacy with good backup and support if I had bad side effects or issues (ironically I had none!). I followed a few WLI thread’s before starting and watched many posters struggle with severe sounding SE. Juniper/Voy are a bit like a combination of a pharmacy and a diet club.
Now I feel happy on the drug I left them and looked for cheaper alternatives for providers.

Suppliers like Juniper and Voy support you and check in etc and are much ore collaborative with you on your journey, which is why they can justify charging more I suppose. It's not something that's particularly important to me, but I can see why it would be for other people who want some support.

Yes they do seem to be getting through them. Not had shipping confirmation yet but my order is now showing as "dispensed" with Signature.

When was your original order placed?

sweetpickle2 · 21/08/2025 10:22

My Lotus order is being delivered today, had the Signature email yesterday and the Royal Mail tracking no this morning. Ordered on Monday.

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 21/08/2025 10:46

I wouldn't go near Juniper after someone posted on here how they are pushing Wegovy by claiming that the results are equivalent to Mounjaro by quoting studies on the new 7.2 dose, which of course they cannot sell yet. I posted some screenshots earlier which I think are truly misleading and unethical.
