For anyone who would like a calmer place to share support and information about the price increases.

Asda cancelled my second pen this morning and refunded. Don’t really know why as it was in stock when I ordered.

Still in limbo, radio silence from Farmeci..... They have my £500 so I'm stuck and unable to order from elsewhere 🙄

I am in same boat but with different provider.

Pillsorted took my order and approved it quickly after I sent all the new patient info. Yesterday I got a message saying it would be delivered today. But now when I check on their site it says ‘We're sorry - your delivery has been delayed. We're working to ship it as soon as possible.’ and the status shows as ‘packed ‘. I hope it isn’t packed and going warm before Royal Mail collect it!

I suspect they have run out of pens. Will they get more at the current price or will Eli Lilly only provide more at the new inflated price? We shall see.

That really sucks. There is stock out there but having so much money tied up must be infuriating.

If they don’t have enough to go round perhaps they are looking for customers who ordered more than one pen last week and cancelling the second order to preserve some stock?

I think so too. I ordered 2 pens from Swift (my usual pharmacy) on Thursday. Approved and ready for dispatch. They emailed yesterday and cancelled one of the pens. It’s annoying because it was approved and ready, but upon reflection at least it gives someone else a chance.

You just have to have it booked. What delivery date did you select?

Sorry wasn’t clear, at the point where I had to go to my bank app to approve the payment I just didn’t. So I didn’t cancel and existing order. I didn’t go through with payment.

I also ordered through Lotus yesterday before they changed back to existing customers only, and like PP I took it as I am an existing customer as I put my order in before that change and they're just going to be taking a while working through the backlog of approvals.

There's probably a limit to how many packages royal mail are prepared to take from suppliers, they may well have to space out deliveries.

I’m still waiting for medicine market place to approve my order. When I logged into my account yesterday it still said processing so we’ll see. Everywhere is just overwhelmed with the amount of orders.

I'm in the same boat. I have three orders in now with three different suppliers and none approved. I have two doses left and no idea what to do next for the best.

I'm not going to inject today.

If my orders still aren't approved tomorrow I'm going to taper down one dose and inject it a day late.

I just have this dread they will all be cancelled and price will double come September. By then I'm going to be well out of my reorder window anyway and I'm not starting again at 2.5mg at double the price

I think this is poor though - they should only be selling the stock they have

That makes sense as suppliers probably have contracts with Royal Mail for a set amount per day and they can’t be deluged with triple ste usual number of parcels as warm pens risk financial losses for suppliers.

I can wait a bit for it as have been using the bonus dose but ordering every 4 weeks. I just don’t want my order to be cancelled as I ordered due to it being my usual time to order and my previous supplier had (and still has) no stock. I have written to my usual supplier asking if they will get more stock this week and how I can be sure as a longstanding customer to be allocated one of their pens.

They are only selling what they have. And they are sharing it out fairly by only letting people buy one pen. I haven’t been able to get my usual monthly pen from anywhere yet while a few other people are unhappy their second order was cancelled. No sympathy from me.

@NaturalBlondeYeahRight i still haven't heard from Asda. Even though I placed my order on Thursday evening it registered on the following day. No messages as of yet. I also placed two orders for two separate pens. I've got two doses left of my current pen & then I will be seriously stuck. Plus I'm going on holiday in just over a week. Is the pen safe for a few days in the Asda pharmacy?

It’s not their place to do that though, if you allowed multiple pen orders you need to honour them

So there's a few of us low on doses and no pen it seems. What is everyone else's plan if it's not approved and read for dispatch this week?

@Cantonet they just keep it in the fridge, I had one ready on the 9th and picked it up on the 16th and there was no problem

Me too! I was expecting a delivery today as well. Hopefully the delay isn’t too long. I am not even sure what courier they use, is it Royal Mail?

Theres no point in panicking. I've been through shortages before. Twice I think. I have been on & off Saxenda, Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro for a while. I presume things will settle down come the 1st of September. The increased prices that have been released so far are not as high as I originally thought they would be.

Just had a reply from Lotus saying they’re delaying my order by a week because it was a bit close to my last order (to prevent stockpiling, fair enough) but otherwise looks like it’s going through. I ordered yesterday at 9am.

Thanks again for the recommendation @GlassofRosePorfavor- I like their website and communication, really easy ordering process. They seem a responsible provider. If their prices are competitive come September I’ll continue with them.

Medbasic have now come back to me after four days and all of their insulin needles etc are out of stock. So I’m buggered for my fourth dose!!

5th 🤦🏼‍♀️ thunderstorms kept me up all night!
