For anyone who would like a calmer place to share support and information about the price increases.

Goodness. £189 for my last 12.5 from them.
I could manage a couple of months more and that's it.

Being charitable, it may be because I was a new customer. If you are an existing customer hopefully they will be offering you pens at the old price.
I don't need a pen, I wasn't going to buy one, I only went through the process to see if the reported cost increases were true.

I'm going to stop posting about this now though because I don't want to spread misinformation, stir up more panic.

The worry about this is turning me into someone I don't want to be. I desperately just want to know where this all lands so I can make a plan.

So does it look like the higher doses are facing disproportionately high increases, while 2.5mg and 5mg won't be so badly affected?

Yeah - I think that’s what’s happening. Possibly a tactic to encourage people to stay on for maintenance - when they typically go back down to the lower doses again.

CoverMeInMarmalade · 17/08/2025 15:29

Plus, of course, it encourages new patients also.

JabbyJabber · 17/08/2025 15:30

It’s a small saving but just a reminder you can use TopCashBack for MedExpress and Oushk. I don’t know about other suppliers but worth checking out.

That seems to be it. But the discounts are also still being negotiated

Hundredthmillionthdiet · 17/08/2025 15:35

Anyone know/think medicine market place will get stock in before the price increase ?

QueenOfHiraeth · 17/08/2025 15:38

@CoverMeInMarmalade Thank you for the article about Eli Lilly shares as I was just debating buying some. My thought was with MJ about to launch in India and retatrutide on the horizon they may be a good bet but you never know with shares and Trump pushing prices down in the US could have a very big impact

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 17/08/2025 16:32

I think @CloudyYellow was looking for a 5mg.

Sorry, I don’t have a message from you?

I’ve had a look at Chemist4U that a PP mentioned but does anyone know why it isn’t on the Monj comparison list?

They are on the Retail Prices list, but not the Discount list at Monj.co.uk. I guess as they've pulled any discounts, @DottyMcDiet. (The discount mentioned goes through to a 'no current offers' page.)

Why isn't My-BMI on the monj comparison site?

"This page shows the lowest-cost Mounjaro Discount Price List in the UK, with all current discounts from GPhC-regulated pharmacies."

Does it mean My-BMI is not GPhC-regulated if its not on the list?

Edited

Not sure. Yesterday prices were visible on the MyBMI website (they've been recorded by https://click.compare/mounjaro/ and dated 16/8), but today I can't see any on MyBMI unless I am looking in the wrong place.

SilenceInside · 17/08/2025 17:53

My-BMI appears to be Chemist4U according to the GPhC registration number given on the My-BMI website. So I guess it’s a trading name, and the same pharmacy behind the scenes.

Thank you - that makes sense.

Anyone who ordered from Pharmacy2u maybe log in and check your orders. I’ve had no emails but when I log in and view my order it says approved and out for delivery!

Puppylucky · 17/08/2025 17:59

What this whole debacle has revealed is the amount of slightly shady stuff the online pharmacies have been engaging in, to cash in on the WLI goldrush - e.g.creating a new weight relevant trading name for an existing pharmacy to drag in more customers, or implementing Sept price increases now. I wouldn't be surprised (and frankly won't be sorry) if this whole experience shakes some of the more opportunistic businesses out of the market.

Yes, it’s noted here if you scroll down: https://my-bmi.co.uk/who-are-we/

It’s revealed than and just how much nastiest there is about still. It’s genuinely shocking

KrankyKumquat · 17/08/2025 18:19

@Trinck
I understand Monj have removed pharmacies that are out of stock- oushk isn't on there anymore either.

RelaxedOddish · 16/08/2025 16:20

Have just checked out the monj website and noticed that they have a wegovy site now too! Which is great as I was just thinking recently it would be good if there was one!

Husband and I have discussed changing to Wegovy. We’ll do that if the price increase on Mounjaro is too much.

They’re still on the list for no discounts so far as I can see, and I’ve refreshed the page just in case.

I think it’s just a nice place to discuss whatever we need to, at this point. There won’t be much news on prices now until they all start releasing their new pricing structure

I'm sorry but I'm not very good on here. If I try to go somewhere else I'll lose my thread. It's all about Mounjaro though.
