Anyone else seen this chatter about massive price increases announced for MJ (to pharmacies) in the last hour or so?

Very concerning as it looks like it could double the cost of some of the doses. I'll try to find the copy of the letter sent out...

Reading the Voy announcement it looks like many people will take the option of moving over to the wegovy option. There’s a new compound launching shortly isn’t there? Feels like mj will just become the nhs prescribed option and privately people will use other options.

It’s called ret something or other and they don’t think it’ll be available in the uk until 2027

I need to ask, surely if you've taken it for a while and shrunken your stomach size you'll manage to keep weight off without MJ or maintain on a lower dose?

Are people really considering taking this drug for the rest of their lives? The long term outcomes are as yet unproven which would worry me.

Will you use them over the 30 day limit then? Not judging at all - I'm thinking of doing the same and just wondered if others are planning this. Thank you.

Can I ask, is it ok to stockpile so much... does anyone know how long the medications last? Has anyone been using doses months after ordering and there weren't any side effects? I thought it was supposed to be only 30 days, so I'm really confused by all the stockpiling posts?

They have an expiry date on them - they last in the fridge till that date. And then you have 30 days to use them from opening

Also just to anyone looking to order from Oushk - make sure all three deliver on the same day. They have to cover the price difference if they’re set to deliver after 1 September.

I am definitely planning to go over the 30 days, I will be squeezing every last drop out of every pen. I am lucky to be at goal and on my way down the doses but really feeling for those with a way to go, so so unfair.

A word of warning though - through circumstances I have in the past stockpiled. And some pens just aren’t as effective. I guess it’s down to storage and delivery method. If it’s started degrading at some point you’re not starting from optimum strength

That’s a deeply unpleasant message when some people here are worried. But I’d guess that you don’t care.

If they are in date they should be fine and not degrading.

I’ve just ordered two pens from IQ doctor, they had a discount code on google so got two 5mg pens for under £200. Going to be using them beyond 30 days.

I just switched to Oushk this week and got my first pen from them today, before the news broke. Does anyone know if I’ll be able to order more already?

You don't need to ask..... And that's not how it works. Stomachs expand and contract but it's a myth that obese people have ginormous distended stomachs that just need to be shrunk and they'll be A-OK.

Yes I am/was considering taking Mounjaro long term. It's approved for long term use, and no I am not concerned about bone density in old age. But thank you for worrying so much about my long term health.

I’m going to.. have ordered two 5mg pens but will take 2.5mg out each week so I’ll get 9/10 weeks out of each pen.

It definitely isn’t ideal but hoping with the two pens I’ve just ordered (plus the one I currently have), it’ll allow me to slowly come off it and eventually stop without having to pay the increase.

I’m fortunate that I’ve hit GW though and have been maintaining for a few months, so have gradually come down the doses (from 7.5mg).

Yes. I know it’s a risk, but one I’ll take. I keep them in the fridge at all times and don’t even let them warm for the injection, and I very carefully wipe the seal before attaching the needle and am very careful with hygiene.

It's not great for those of us at the early stages of our weight loss journey with still quite significant weight to shift.

Whilst I am ordering additional pens it's difficult knowing what exactly to order in advance.
