Hope I’ve done this right, I’ve never started a thread before.

@qs90 hope you don’t mind me starting a new one for us but thread 4 was full and I don’t want to lose my crew!

SW: 14st 4lbs
CW: 11st 13lbs
GW: 10st 7lbs (healthy bmi)

So 2.5 stone lost on MJ (but just under 3st overall as I lost a few pounds in the month leading up to the start of my doses)

feeling a lot better in myself, plantar fasciitis is gone, not having to heave myself up off the sofa!
however I need to start weight training as I’m feeling very soft all over, not quite loose skin but there’s no muscle tone there.

saxonyv · 23/07/2025 09:36

For those who have experiences SE like nausea/sickness/diarrohea, did changing the jab site help?
currently struggling in the evenings on 5 but I inject my stomach so wondering if changing to leg or arm night help with that (but worried the suppression will change too)

Squiffy01 · 23/07/2025 09:42

Interesting that others can fit more in these days and sometimes craving sweet things.
I will have to make an effort to be more mindful.

@saxonyv i was also thinking I need to start doing some sort of toning exercise/weights. Soft all over is a good way to describe it.

my eating hasn’t been great this week so not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow. But I still take comfort in the fact that I can’t fall off the wagon completely on MJ.

Lundier · 23/07/2025 10:15

I'm like a melted candle around the middle - so squishy! About 35 pounds down but still very flabby - perhaps I actually feel flabbier than before in some ways, strangely. I am now a healthy BMI, just about.

I don't have flab on my face, arms and lower legs now. Definition has come back to my arms, and cheekbones. I still have a big squishy tummy though, below my waist, and saddlebags and cushiony hips, which is I think why my clothes size hasn't gone down much. It's like I'm smuggling a life ring - just about 20cm of fat all the way round.

I'm still really low dosing though I'd planned to go up. But... my hair is falling out so I thought hm, maybe go slower. I know, I know, it's telogen effluvium and it will be from 3 months ago but still.

fox919 · 23/07/2025 10:23

@Lundieri know exactly what you mean about at times/in certain areas feeling flabbier than before. I’ve been really noticing recently how the fat on the side of my thighs just ‘hangs’ more when I’m sitting down. And my belly/love handle lumps are more wobbly than they were before. I’ve assumed it’s more due to looser skin, hoping it tightens a bit with time 🤞

Lundier · 23/07/2025 12:29

@fox919 Yes exactly the same when sitting down. I spread.

wordywitch · 23/07/2025 13:27

Week 17 for me, lost 2kg though I think that’s a bit overinflated as I stayed the same last week and was on my period so suspect it was water weight last week.

SW: 91.5kg / 14st 5lbs
CW: 74.5kg / 11st 10lbs
Total lost: 17kg / 2st 9lbs

I’ve noticed the flabby skin thing too, especially on my arms. Hoping I can firm them up.

fox919 · 23/07/2025 14:54

Has anyone got any advice re split doses (kind of). I only had 3.125mg left in my pen to dose yesterday morning. New pen arrived today. I’ve just had a binge for the first time in sooo long :( and now worried that it was just too low a dose and I’m going to really struggle.

They say you need to leave at least 4 days between doses, but is that advice only when you’ve had a full dose? So could I top my dose up today so I’ve had 7.5? Or do I need to wait 4 days? Thanks for any guidance

Those using MedExpress - I assumed by previous comments, they don't support maintenance when you hit healthy BMI, however, I just read this on their website:

If your treatment is still working well for you and you’re not experiencing serious side effects, our prescribers can continue your treatment for as long as you need to support weight loss maintenance.

Some people stay on treatment long-term, while others may decide to taper off gradually. We’ll help you find the approach that works best for you.

Whether you choose to stay on treatment or taper off gradually, we will continue to provide ongoing support as you navigate the next phase of your weight loss journey.

So does that mean they would keep prescribing for maintenance purposes? Or has anyone else been told otherwise?

This is the conversation I had when I messaged them directly…

MExpress: To support you in maintaining your weight loss and the healthy habits you've developed, our prescribers may continue your treatment for as long as you need, provided your BMI remains above 23.5 and you remain eligible for treatment.

Please note that once your BMI falls below 23.5, we are unable to continue prescribing the medication, as this is the threshold set by our policy. This decision is based on current medical guidelines and is in place to ensure your safety and the appropriate use of GLP-1 medications.

Every case is assessed individually, and the continuation of treatment remains at the discretion of the prescriber, taking into account all the information provided during consultations and your treatment journey.

We regularly review and improve our processes in line with the latest guidance and policies around GLP-1 medications.
This may involve conducting thorough check-ins to monitor your progress, adjust your treatment if necessary, and address any concerns you may have along your journey.

I replied: My main concern wasn’t quite answered, and maybe I need to ask a further question-
If I maintain a bmi above 23.5, say 25 and come off the medication for 6 months and in that time put on 7lb. Would I be able to go back onto a low dose of Mounjaro to get the weight back off? This is assuming my medical history remains the same. If I submitted photos obviously I look very different now, much smaller than my original photos

MExpress: After a gap of 6 months you would be seen as a new patient and would need to have a BMI of 30 or above or 27 and above with co-morbidities, in order to re-start treatment at the lowest dose of Mounjaro 2.5mg.

If the gap is less than 6 months we would review your order at the time it is placed and advise you on the most appropriate dose to take.

So my conclusion is that if you come off it for six months and don’t order from them (MedExpress) you will need to regain weight up to a BMI of 30 (2 stones for me) to be able to start again.

This means I will have to stockpile meds and keep up an order every 5 months or so when maintaining if I want to make sure I’ll be ok if I put a little bit of weight back on.

So I think I might be late to the game of supplements but I think I might like to add something in for myself. I know people say about taking collagen powder but I absolutely wouldn’t be able to take that for some reason as soon as I know anything has been added to a drink that I have to drink I just can’t get it down without nearly being sick so that’s a no go.

I’ve seen collagen gummy’s are these any good in anyone’s experience?

What else is anyone taking that I should consider?

I take collagen tablets. They are fine 😊

I dose 25 clicks from a 7.5 pen every 5 days and it’s working really well. So I’m getting 3.13 mg each time. No side effects really and good weight loss. I’ve added the chart I follow to workout how many clicks I need.

Whats your usual weekly dose? If you’ve done 4 weeks on it, you should be ok topping up to your usual or slightly higher dose within the four days.

Thanks @Pepperwaggytailwas a 7.5mg pen, but I did 2 weeks of 6.25, then 3 weeks of 7.5 and then 3.125 yesterday morning. Ideally I’d like to top it up so I’ve basically had 7.5mg dose this week, so just wondering if I can take 4.475 (approx) sooner than the 4 days they say to wait between doses. New pen is 10mg dose so will need to work out how much is 4.475mg from that..

Oh Jeez - this gives me the fear. I hate the fact that they almost encourage you to gain the weight back on. As I am a shorty, to get my BMI to 23.5 I would need to weigh roughly 9st7 - wasn't overly planning to go so low anyway. Maybe when (if) I start getting close, I will try to stay at that and keep ordering so I leave less than 6 months between orders.
I've heard other companies support maintenance better, but the inconvenience of changing puts me off 😂 I've had smooth sailing with MedExpress up to now.

saxonyv · 23/07/2025 16:46

I had this from Oushk, this was an email I sent before I was with them (I am a customer now)
I had a weight verification call last week and asked what happens as I’m only a stone from my GW, they said once you hit goal you can book maintenance call to discuss but they won’t let you go cold turkey

Me too and I feel exactly the same. It’s like you’ve been abandoned just when you might need them!

SeaDippingandLattes · 23/07/2025 20:59

Hi all

sw 16:1
cw 13:7

have now managed to lose 16 percent (so nearly at 20 percent) which is my next goal. An old dress actually fit me again today, so that was nice as it’s the first thing that has fit again (normally I would fluctuate between 12 stone and 13:7 and would go up and down until more recent years where I just got bigger and bigger 😳) so it’s nice to put on something and it fit again.

my wedding weight was 11:9 - so I think I am going for that as my goal weight but I would be very happy at 12 stone.

hope everyone having a good week x

Definitely work it out and stay within the guidelines. You can increase your dose every four weeks, but I’d always take it easy when increasing as you’re likely to get side effects.

QS90 · 23/07/2025 21:59

I'm very similar to you @SeaDippingandLattes - SW 16 stone, current 13 stone 3, aiming for 12! The rate of loss has really slowed though! On 6.66mg per week, so might up it to get the last stone-and-a-bit off.

Pepperwaggytail · 24/07/2025 07:41

I am almost the same stats as you, I’m 10st 1.3 this morning, bmi of 25. I actually saw a film of myself yesterday that someone took, full body shot, and me moving about.

I could still easily lose 7lb and not be scrawny. To get to a bmi of 23 I need to be 9st 3lb. So I think I’m going to allow myself to lose another 7lb and see how I look then.
I still can’t believe how much control I have over consistent weight loss with this drug.

If it’s helpful, here are my Shotsy results. You can see my weight loss has been fairly consistent regardless of the dose. I’m now dosing every 5 days rather than weekly.

-1.5lbs this week.

it has definitely slowed down over the last month, which is fine I guess as long as it’s still going in the right direction.

Week 1 - Didn’t weigh (holiday)
Week 2 - -11.9lbs
Week 3 - didn’t weigh (holiday)
Week 4 - -4.4lbs
Week 5 - -2.2lbs
Week 6 - -3.9lbs
Week 7 - -1.1lb 🩸
Week 8 - -3.7lbs
Week 9 - stayed the same (Rome 4 days)
Week 10 - 3.9lbs
Week 11 - - 2.2lbs🩸
Week 12 - -2.4lbs
Week 13 - -1.3lbs
Week 14 - -2.6lbs
Week 15 - -1.1lbs 🩸
Week 16 - -1.5lbs

I’ve lost just over 20% of my starting body weight. I’m 3.7lbs away from the top of heathy weight range which is my next goal. Then after that will need to have a think of where I want to get to officially.

saxonyv · 24/07/2025 08:38

I gave myself 6 months to be on WLI and I would take whatever weight I was and then work a bit harder for the rest, 4 months in and I’ve only a stone to lose to get to a healthy bmi, I know some weeks the loss feels slow but my goodness it’s a heck of an achievement we’ve all made when you look at the bigger picture!

knackredd · 24/07/2025 10:28

How is everyone managing their food intake? Are you eating the same foods but just less of them? Or have you made changes to what and when you eat? Also has anyone recalculated their TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) and revised down their cal def accordingly with each stone lost?

I am now more or less alcohol free (was 'sipping' about 1/2 bottle 5-6 nights a week at home previously....with the accompanying sugar and carb cravings of crisps and choc) - I will have one 'stunt' drink now when out socially. So I hope that is something I will carry on.

I will also continue the intermittent fasting - as this cuts out hunger and cravings (once you get through the first 3 days) as I have noticed that I only become hungry once I have eaten. I will also stick with 2 meals a day as it keeps it simple and wont have to think about food as plan to have more or less same 'breakfast' at 3pm each day and then only have to think about one (evening) meal each day.

I have yet to put in the high protein, high fibre healthy eating plan and I want to get this established before I start moving back down the doses.

I have been on 10mg this month and its the first time I have felt 'supression' - my definition of that is when I feel prematurely full when I eat. I lost the food noise and hunger/cravings on the first dose - but its only on this dose that I physically stop eating and feel full. Actually thats really helped me understand all the separate triggers for over-eating ...food noise, hunger/cravings, not feeling full (I can add in the loss of inhibition with wine when the floodgates open) .... so the high protein, high fibre is going to really important for me to manage saiety in the longer term.

Sorry for the ramble ... I am a stone away from BMI 25 (10st) but plan to get down to 23... so the anxiety about self sabotaging and not maintaining is worrying me - although I think I will micro dose for maybe a year after?

SeaDippingandLattes · 24/07/2025 10:34

@QS90 well done 🙌 are you starting to feel different in your clothes yet? It’s only really now that I’m starting to feel a bit more comfortable and I am feeling more like my normal self (clothes and style wise).

I treated myself to some new stretchy trousers from muthahood and beyond nine - which I think should still fit fine when I have lost the final 1 stone 9 pounds x
