Hope I’ve done this right, I’ve never started a thread before.

@qs90 hope you don’t mind me starting a new one for us but thread 4 was full and I don’t want to lose my crew!

QS90 · 18/07/2025 07:40

Thanks for the new thread!

Pepperwaggytail · 18/07/2025 07:45

I was looking too! Thank you!
phew! I need my daily chat!😘

Lundier · 18/07/2025 07:52

Hurray!

SW 87KG CW 73KG GW 64KG down we go!

Uninvitedleaf · 18/07/2025 08:18

Me too, I was getting anxious about us not finding each other.

Also I’ve discovered there’s supposed to be a designer/posh clothes charity shop a few miles away and I have plans for a day out with a friend next Wednesday to see what we can find. I need to report in afterwards!

Phew, thank you for making a new thread! I was panicking also - this is my only place to speak since I'm still a secret jabber 🤐😂

TC4 · 18/07/2025 08:54

Thanks for making the new thread

TC4 · 18/07/2025 08:58

So I messed up my jab last week, well i didn’t order in time and thought I had enough left in my pen to use but didn’t get a full does so only ended up with <5mg which was annoying as I’ve gone up to 7.5 now so I’ve not really lost this week but also not gained and I’m still seeing a number on the scales I’ve not seen in a long long time so all good. I have my new 7.5mg pen in the fridge ready to jab tonight so all good and I’m running round like a maniac today prepping and tomorrow at a children’s party tomorrow day so il be keeping active haha

vl888 · 18/07/2025 09:16

SW: 14st 1lb
CW: 11st 3lb
Lost so far: 2st 12lb

So I have officially lost 20% of my starting weight. When i signed up back in April, and it claimed it could help you lose this amount, I thought to myself 'No Way!' but turns out it was true 😂

Did you notice a change in your appetite with not having as much dose for a week? Or much the same?

SusanSometimes · 18/07/2025 11:20

Thanks for the new thread. Just place marking here really, I don't post much but like to follow along and it's great to see everyone's progress.

Jab day today, another week on 3.75mg coming up for me. I've lost 10kg so far, slow and steady.

Amazing! 👏 👏

I’d say the same - I’m not anywhere near 20% yet but it definitely feels achievable.

I’ve been shopping at charity shops exclusively at the moment. Part of me thinks no point spending more on clothes until I’ve maintained for a while !

I've turned to Vinted (charity shops are rubbish around here!) 😂 It's expensive having to buy so many new clothes, and like you say, if you keep moving down sizes, it begins again and is a vicious expensive cycle! haha!

I’d say ever so slightly stronger hunger feelings but not to much and one day I felt full so quickly so must have still set in properly

We had a chat about this ages ago halfway through the last thread and I was saying I really struggle to find anything worth considering on Vinted. I think it was @Knakeredd (not sure if she’s joined us yet) who inspired me with stories of swanning round the house in posh frocks from charity shops and I said I’d give it a go and report back on whether I find anything. There looks to be one near me that specialises in ‘designer’ stuff so worth a look!

i have sorted out two big bags to go in the other direction this week so I’ve got lots of wardrobe space to fill.

Yes thats me. Slightly different user name. Still flouncing about the house in a peacock blue, sequinned, full-length, fishtail frock (£6) when no one is looking.

Uninvitedleaf · 18/07/2025 17:36

Sorry got your username wrong. Hope there’s not someone else confused and wondering why I am referencing them on our thread 😂. I’m looking forward to emulating you (and scaring my cats) if I find anything similar!

SW - 95kg
CW - 79kg
so 2 1/2 stone loss so far. I'm pleased with that.

I went clothes shopping for the first time since starting MJ the other day.
I was in size 20 before, and I thought I'd try size 16 clothes on. (I need a smart outfit to wear in 10 days time.) I went to John Lewis, and found that size 16, some size 14's, and even one size 12 dress fitted nicely!! Size 12!!! Unfortunately I didn't really like the size 12 dress, and bought a size 16 trouser suit. But even so, there was in the changing room, wearing a (I suspect a very generously cut!!!) size 12!! Amazing!

Vinted addict here! I’ve recently discovered Uniqlo and love the quality! I’ve bought quite a few dresses for the summer. I’ve also bought a LOT of gym wear. I find there’s nothing that motivates me to exercise like new gym kit!

Pepperwaggytail · 18/07/2025 18:42

I was 10st 2.4lb this morning, so seriously thinking about maintenance. I’ve still not quite decided how I’m going to do this. I think once I’ve weaned off completely I’ll put a note in my diary to order a 2.5 pen every 5 months or so just to keep my from having to pile weight back on in order to restart!

Having said that- I might find it’s really difficult to maintain and I need to use a low level in order to not put weight back on! Time will tell.

I’m loving my new health and body so much, it’s probably going to be worth sacrificing other things to pay for a maintenance dose. This is the first time I’ve actually realised this.

TheyFuckYouUpYourMamAndDad · 18/07/2025 18:53

Ohhh can I join the thread?

I have just read all your posts and am feeling a little jaded with my progress. I started in January (so 7 months in now) and have only lost 2st 1lb. It’s been such a slow journey for me! I’m post menopausal at 61 and did know that it was harder at this stage in life, but wow I’ve been so focussed and tried really hard!

SW: 16:3 CW: 14:1

I have recently switched to intermittent fasting (18:6) and this has really boosted and sped up my loss, so 🤞it’s onwards and downwards 👇🤣

Incognitoburrito88 · 18/07/2025 19:09

Hi Everyone 👋

SW 13st 7lb
CW 11st 5lb
GW 10st 7lb

Total lost 30lb

Thanks for the new thread @Uninvitedleaf and welcome @TheyFuckYouUpYourMamAndDad

so that’s me done my wk 15 weigh in - down 2lbs this week for a nice round 30lb loss. Very pleased with my progress. Still on 3.75 mg and it’s working well although I did feel hungry randomly yesterday. I’m about to head off on holiday for two weeks so won’t be weighing in for a while - nervous about that. I also had to throw away my bonus dose today and start a new pen because I didn’t want to have to put a pen in the fridge on our group holiday. The old pen was 35 days old though so perhaps good I didn’t use it!!

I’m flirting with the idea of going up to 5mg for my final stone when I get back but I’ll see how bad the damage from the holiday is. I’ve got a maintenance call booked for September so I do need to shift a bit more weight before then.

Good for you. Thats a great loss. If someone asked you at Chritmas how would you feel about being over 2 stone lighter by the summer - I am sure you would have taken that? Thats nearly 30lb so over 1lb a week which means if you keep on track you will be more than 52lb down which is 4 stone - so well in the 12's.

I dont know if you have seen any of my other posts - but I do IF and low carb as well. I read that if you are post meno and hypothyroid (have you checked this?) which I am that you might need to work towards one meal a day (or a 4hr eating window) to boost your metabolism for a short while.

RhaenysRocks · 18/07/2025 21:20

Glad I've found you all. Been away with the kids this week. Unusually weigh daily so curious to see what will happen after a week. I've not eaten badly in terms of alcohol or treats but haven't had access to my usual standbys of protein yoghurts and such so have had more than I usually would of random stuff ..more carb definitely. Next week though I am home alone while kids are with their dad so intending to go swimming a lot, walking etc. I'll report in once I have my numbers.
