Hope I’ve done this right, I’ve never started a thread before.

@qs90 hope you don’t mind me starting a new one for us but thread 4 was full and I don’t want to lose my crew!

Is anyone else constantly freezing? I actually feel like it is because I'm missing my usual blubber. I've never been so cold in my life, never weighed as little either. 10 more lbs until goal, so near yet so far :-)

Uninvitedleaf · 05/10/2025 21:26

Thanks @qs90 I’ll have a look at the Halo. I’m sure it would still be cheaper than sending stuff to be dry cleaned.

To be fair the white vinegar did a good job - not something I’ve tried before!

Hey all, just jumping on. I was about to cave and go to 7.5 after months on 5mg (doing extra clocks not new pens) but ive dropped a stubborn 2lb and an 2lb away from next stone bracket now so will jab 5 tonight. V v happy that my favourite size 14 fat face jeans that were consigned to the loft years ago are now wearable..muffin top but wearable. I've noticed I've started looking at myself in the mirror again. Id stopped doing that as I always hated what I saw. I'm also noticing that the 100+ stairs I have to climb in one go 3x a week are so much easier now. So some good progress all round. Keep going everyone ..we're in the season of slow cooker recipes. Did a pork and apple/cider casserole today.

RhaenysRocks · 05/10/2025 22:01

Oh and....I'm actually using charity shops loads. I didn't before because things didn't fit properly but now it's a treasure trove and a good solution for this in between stage.

Mumof2studentnurse · 05/10/2025 22:46

So happy for you @RhaenysRocks, I absolutely understand what you mean about looking in the mirror. Another place that i notice myself is at the Asda self serve checkouts - the ones with the little camera. I used to be so embarrassed about how I looked, but now i double take (and i still have stones to go) so it makes me think there will be more changes to come :) Glad you are loving your jeans :) x

Uninvitedleaf · 06/10/2025 08:26

Yes I’m liking myself in the mirror for the first time in a lot of years too 😊.

@Newmum110 i thought it was just the sudden change in the weather but I’m definitely feeling the cold too. Between that and not having the cushioning when I sit on a hard chair there are a couple of things to adjust to!

Yep I feel the cold now. Never used to. Also recognise the bum ache when seated from lack of padding.

Yay - well done. It’s so great when you pass a plateau and amazing to be back in your favourite jeans!

we’ve got curry in the slow cooker for tonight!

Incognitoburrito88 · 06/10/2025 16:40

Hi everyone. Just a quick update after my pity party earlier in the week! I got back to goal yesterday. So 5 days of eating and drinking whatever I wanted - loads of booze and a wedding followed by four days of careful eating and I’m back at goal. Will do one more week of 5mg then down to 3.75mg for at least six weeks…

Mumof2studentnurse · 08/10/2025 07:48

Morning :)

Weigh day for me - Week 26. I started on April 9th.

Start Weight - 21st 9lbs (303lbs)
Current Weight - 13st 8.5lbs (190.5lbs)
Weight lost this week - 3.5lb
Total weight lost - 8st 0.5lbs (112.5lbs)

I'm really happy with the loss this week and looking forward to the week ahead. I'm really proud of my overall loss too.

Hope you are all having a great week :)

QS90 · 08/10/2025 08:15

That's great @Mumof2studentnurse !! Well done x

QS90 · 08/10/2025 08:22

Seem to have dropped 2lbs overnight, which is odd because am due on tomorrow or the next day 🤔 Hoping no error on the scales. Assuming it's correct, am at 165lb so only 4 lbs to go to a healthy BMI!

NSV threw on an outfit yesterday of skirt I've had for ages, old tshirt but tucked in and a new cardi I've bought in a 14, and actually loved the way it looked. Can't remember last time I felt that way about a whole ensemble.

Bought some size 12 jeans - they're too much of a squeeze to wear out of the house, but they do zip and button up. Hopefully they'll fit after the last 4lb is off.

Mumof2studentnurse · 08/10/2025 08:39

Well done to you @QS90 i am sure you must look and feel fantastic :) x

WinterOnItsWayOut · 08/10/2025 09:29

Great news @Incognitoburrito88- believing that we can’t just put on lots of weight in 5 days is hard, but is true! The important bit for the future is the jumping back on it and not allowing ourselves to get despondent and create inevitable creep… 😫. Well done for getting back to goal so quickly 👏

@Mumof2studentnurse 8 stone is an immense milestone! You must be very proud of yourself and well done on the commitment since April 💪

@QS90 fingers crossed the 2lb stays off - I’m hoping for some loss this week after another plateau 🤞. The jeans I tried on a few weeks ago with muffin top are now fitting well despite the plateau so we should def take the NSV’s alongside the scales as they don’t tell the whole story….

Off to roast a 🐓 now

Incognitoburrito88 · 08/10/2025 17:08

Thanks @WinterOnItsWayOut.

Great news about the jeans. I often noticed I still seemed to be losing inches during my plateaus then I would suddenly drop a few pounds on the scales all at once!

I’ve had a rather sad NSV… in fact not sure it’s a V!! I ordered some new bras from M&S. Haven’t worn an underwire since being pregnant with baby 4 who is now 4. Ordered a 36A which used to be my small size… the cups were gaping on me. Slightly sad that in order for me to be slim I have to have no boobs at all!!

WinterOnItsWayOut · 08/10/2025 18:34

@Incognitoburrito88 I’m pretty sure you are about the same weight as me and probably a tad taller. I wear at 34 and a new one I’ve just bought I can do up on the closest setting. Are you sure you are 36? I’d try a 34 and think that should sort your cup issue 🤞🤞

Also M&S bras are rubbish so I’d try some other makes - my sainsbury ones are great so I’m not saying spend loads of money!

Uninvitedleaf · 08/10/2025 22:06

I really need to sort out some new bras as well - I have worn 38 for years, almost definitely not “right” but it did the job. But I think I’m probably now a 34 or so. Really need to find time to go somewhere and try a load on to see what fits. Hope something similar’s going on with you @Incognitoburrito88

I’d be surprised if you are that size - have you been measured (not by M&S!) I think your cup is too small and band too big.

i got measured and was pleasantly surprised. The difference my new bras make under clothes is amazing - more people commented about weight loss afterwards!

Weigh and jab day
W27d1
SW - 13st11.8
CW - 10st9.8lbs (1lb loss this week)
total loss - 3st 2lbs
GW - 10st

I start 12.5mg today, I’m ambitiously hoping I’ll get to goal with this pen, and then start titrating down.. 🤞I had my bra size measured yesterday and was very surprised to be a 34! I’ve been 38 for quite some time. Hope everyone is having a good week

Incognitoburrito88 · 09/10/2025 08:26

Thanks everyone - I have heard all the stuff about not needing such a big band but I got measured in a few places in my youth and was always a 36 - I think I have a freakishly large ribcage. The band felt quite tight on the M&S bra and the cups actually felt like they were sitting too close to the middle of the bra. I do have absolutely teeny boobs and they have definitely got smaller since feeding four children 😞 I look good in bralettes and I could easily not wear a bra at all but just wanted something a bit more sexy also the matching pants were so pretty but no point keeping them without the bra.

@WinterOnItsWayOut Sainsbos is a good shout - I got some really nice bras for my teen there (she’s a DD so definitely didn’t get her boobs from me!). i don’t think Bravissimo go small enough sadly but I’ll have a look - I think they still have an actual store where I live.

Lundier · 09/10/2025 08:42

The band will feel tight if the cups are too small.

If you measure around your ribcage under your boobs, is it really really 36 inches? It's not 31 inches and you've added 5 as they used to advise? (Mine at size 16-18 and broad-backed was 34 inches, and now is 32 inches.)

A cup means literally one inch difference between your rib and breast. The tip of your thumb. Many women are A cup - it's not freakish! But it's more common to be a B or a C for small breasted women.

It's worth just running a tape measure around to check this.

Seriously, go get measured and don’t go off what you used to be!!

@Lundieris right that the band can feel right if the cup is too small.

Hello 👋 checking in

Turns out I’m going to be thin but bald. Have asked husband if he would prefer me to return to fat with hair or keep going and roll the dice with the hairloss 😂

SW: 16.1
CW: 12:8

one stone left to lose until my BMI is ‘normal’ and I’ve reached my goal weight. Hurrah!

hope all having a good week x

QS90 · 09/10/2025 20:02

Your weight might even go down faster if you shed a lb or two of hair @SeaDippingandLattes 😂x
