Hope I’ve done this right, I’ve never started a thread before.

@qs90 hope you don’t mind me starting a new one for us but thread 4 was full and I don’t want to lose my crew!

Hey OP..I swear you're me...v similar stats and progress. I do seem to hover at a weight for 3/4 weeks and then drop 2lb. I'm sticking at 5mg but am slightly tempted to push to 7.5 using clicks but that will use up my store quicker and I can't afford more now so not sure. It is still going down and people keep noticing which is nice. I was thinking about buying new clothes but realised I can just start wearing stuff that didn't fit before.

@Mumof2studentnurse hang in there. Find and keep your anger and just immerse yourself in living the best way you can without the cheating twat. Don't attach importance to things or what he is doing. And vent here whenever you like...plenty of experience and support on hand xx

Uninvitedleaf · 27/09/2025 11:44

I’ve been out with the local community gardening group this morning and I defintely need some new outdoor trousers. The Aldi ones I love are now far too big so I put on some old size 16 Craghoppers which have always been a bit snug and they nearly fell down at one point (not sure anyone noticed, thankfully 😳).

@rhaenysrocks I keep reading your posts and thinking I’ve written them! I’m also on 5mg and still dithering over going up to 7.5, this has happened with the last few pens. I seem to get half way through a pen and feel things are a bit slow/stalled or that I’m struggling not to eat sugary stuff, decide I should definitely increase next time, then by the end of the month realise I’m down 4-6lb and that’s a good rate of loss so the 5mg is actually working fine!

Scale victory……I’m in the 10 stone bracket! 10st 13 but I never thought I’d see that number again! And only slightly off a healthy bmi
NSV- need new knickers because my period pants are so saggy on the bum!

Apprenante · 28/09/2025 08:50

@saxonyv Congratulations! For the scales and the pants, a double victory. ⭐⭐

Squiffy01 · 28/09/2025 09:09

@saxonyv amazing well done!

PhantomErik · 28/09/2025 10:53

This week I've been buying some new clothes as I was starting to look pretty scruffy as nothing fitted properly & I'm now a size 16! I've hated clothes shopping for years but picking up a 16 in any shop & it fitting was amazing.

I'm 13.11 now @Mumof2studentnurse if it helps? I'm quite in proportion so chubby all over still but getting rid of 20 - 22 clothes has been a mix of emotional & exhilarating!

I've still got a long way to go but at least it feels achievable now.

Week 27
SW 16.6
CW 13.11

NSV - 9 inches gone from my waist 🙂

WinterOnItsWayOut · 29/09/2025 10:03

Well done @Squiffy01for the no need for Chub rub shorts. I’ve gone back and forth as to whether to order another pen and bit the bullet at the weekend to get me through Xmas. I was hoping to have come off it by then but am not really losing so def need help to just maintain and maybe lose the odd llb here and there.

@Mumof2studentnursei would say I was a 16 at around 13.5-14 stone, the same as @saxonyv. However I was shopping at the weekend and (at 10st 5) bought clothes in an 8, S, 12, M and 14 so 🤷‍♀️

@Uninvitedleafmy pants are starting to come a little saggy now too 🤣

@saxonyv- well done for hitting the 10’s and others who are crossing a stone ‘boundary’. Such a mental thing and also gives extra focus not to fall back over it again which doesn’t happen quite the same in the ‘mid’ stone ranges I think

KOKO everyone and don’t forget the 💦 💦

saxonyv · 29/09/2025 12:31

Thanks for the water reminder @WinterOnItsWayOut

Weve been hit by the bugs this last week in our house so have been making lots of smoothies with Greek yoghurt, spinach, coconut water & various fruits in, it really does help, have been eating ok but not great lately and feel so much better for getting some good ingredients in!

Squiffy01 · 30/09/2025 07:16

Just ordered my next pen.
Is anyones pharmacy still going up in price? Every time I go to buy it has gone up again.
does anyone know if any pharmacy that just accepts your prescription and don’t need any other evidence? As I’m a healthy BMI now and deleted my original fat photo I used as evidence when I took it and have no other full body photos.

WinterOnItsWayOut · 30/09/2025 07:49

Yes @Squiffy01 😩. I know I could get it cheaper but as it’s going to be my last one I’ve just bitten the bullet!

My understanding is that you just need a photo of the label on your previous / existing MJ box which has your name and date on it.

Morning all,

Weigh day for me - Week 25. I started on April 9th.

Start Weight - 21st 9lbs (303lbs)
Current Weight - 13st 12lbs (194lbs)
Weight lost this week - 4lb
Total weight lost - 7st 11lbs (109lbs)

I have put on the size 16 stretchy jegging type jeans today and although snug at the lower abdomen, they are not baggy at my bum or knees like my other jeans. So i will be wearing these and not the size 18s from today. It feels nice to break into the 13st bracket this week.

I do still feel like I have a mountain to climb regarding my weight, but i'm just trying to take it 1lb at a time, it all adds up in the end. I just feel like I was hanging around in the 14 stone bracket for a really long time (although realistically it probably wasn't actually that long) I think i forget just how heavy I was to begin with.

It's really lovely reading stories of those of you who are at goal, or close to goal and all the excitement around buying clothes, looking and feeling wonderful in them - I am so happy for you all. :)

Wishing you all a wonderful week - I'm about to do my injection now before I forget x

WinterOnItsWayOut · 01/10/2025 14:16

Brilliant results @Mumof2studentnurse- you must be 2/3+ of the way to goal which is fantastic in just shy of 6 months! 🙌. Well done 👏

NSV for me (although weight not really changing) - I’m wearing, relatively comfortably, a pair of Hobbs size 10 jeans I bought in 2012 which is the last time I was this weight! They were still BNWT as I then crept up. That mustn’t happen again 😖

Doidontimmm · 01/10/2025 16:56

Not posted for a while but now only 8lbs from goal, but my dog passed today and so have ordered Chinese as no one wants to cook. I guess we will always have these kind of days. Bloody heartbroken

This is awesome!!!!! Nearly 8stone off since April is a fantastic achievement! Just think where you’ll be next April - you will get there. What’s your goal weight? You honestly have done amazingly well. I bet you feel better for it too?

I haven’t weighed for a good 2 weeks (maintaining) as I’ve been poorly with some kind of virus. Eating lots of soup but missing the gym.

Sorry about your dog. Just allow yourself to be and don’t fret about one takeaway. Sending a big hug, I have an elderly dog and I can’t begin to imagine the pain of loss.

PhantomErik · 01/10/2025 18:52

So sorry Doidontimmm xxx

Mumof2studentnurse · 01/10/2025 19:03

Hi @WinterOnItsWayOut Thanks so much. I never thought of it like that, but you are right, when i think of it as a fraction or a % of my start weight - its a hefty chunk gone. Congrats on getting into those jeans!! :)

Sorry about your dog @Doidontimmm - hope you are ok.

@SquishyGloopyBum thank you so much, I dont have a goal weight, i think I'm just hoping to get to a weight where I put on clothes and feel good in them, or buy clothes I really want to wear instead of ones that try to hide the bits im self-conscious about. Its maybe something to consider though so i can have a goal. I'm feeling much better though. So many aches and pains have gone, im able to walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath. There is a walk that I would do where I live - when I started walking it, it was pretty hellish, but now - its nothing to me at all! I'm also not embarrassed or as anxious as I used to be when I was out and about - I was so overweight but just wanted to be invisible - dreadful really.

Musermum · 01/10/2025 20:48

Well done @Mumof2studentnurse ...your success is keeping me going as I'm very demotivated atm. I've just jabbed 7.5 from my last pen (bought in the panic days of August) and I've had no loss for 3 weeks and food noise is back. I should've ordered a 10 but didn't realise back then. Can I jab another 2.5 from the pen to take me up to 10, for 3 wks and then order a 10? I know I'm wasting a week but suppression is really low and I'm afraid of what I'll eat during October!!

Mumof2studentnurse · 01/10/2025 21:02

@Musermum Thats really kind of you to say that. I'm on 12.5mg. I think i have maybe been on it now for about 8 weeks...the day after injection is rough though, i usually feel sick when i wake up and pretty much any bad smell will make me physically sick - i inhale olbas oil then hold my breath when feeding my cats and then run out of the room...if i get any of the cat food smell i will be sick...but it typically eases off my day 2 now. The first couple of weeks were rough for me and thats why puts me off moving to 15mg...well that and the price!! Give your plan a go and see how you get on that week - hopefully it helps. I didn't know that I was able to hold off before moving up strength, so every 4 weeks I was moving up until I came to mumsnet and learned that i didn't need to, so ive stayed on my 12.5mg since then. :)

saxonyv · 02/10/2025 06:53

Well done @Mumof2studentnurse thats an amazing loss!

@Musermum i didnt move above 5 but had a few weeks where the scales didn’t budge, are you drinking enough water and eating well enough? I found a day or two of eating bigger meals kickstarted the weight loss again (although it seems counterintuitive)

@Doidontimmm sorry for your loss, hope you’re holding up ok x

saxonyv · 02/10/2025 06:57

@Squiffy01 oushk were great when I moved over to them, I know they do maintenance so could support, they are great at emailing back even when not a customer so worth checking with them.

@WinterOnItsWayOut Size 10! The dream Jean! Well done, I bet you feel fantastic 😊

saxonyv · 02/10/2025 06:59

I’ve been hit by that horrible virus that’s doing the rounds, feel awful but trying to keep up with water intake and eating lots of veggies to keep my energy up.
Good news is I’ve hit the healthy bmi marker!! At the very top end but the lower end is another 2 stone and I think I’d be positively skeletal by then haha!

Solidarity, it’s a really horrible virus that’s knocked me for 6!

It might be worth having a loose target and then seeing how you feel when you get to it? I will say though, it’s taken my brain a while to catch up with clothes - I was still trying on bigger stuff, clothes that I thought would better hide bits of me. it’s that wanting to be invisible like you say.

Now my brain has caught up though I’m buying all sorts of things I would have dared even look at. My credit card isn’t so happy though 😬😬😬

Fantastic about the walking and aches and pains all going too. You should be so proud of yourself.
