Hope I’ve done this right, I’ve never started a thread before.

@qs90 hope you don’t mind me starting a new one for us but thread 4 was full and I don’t want to lose my crew!

Ooh, that sounds promising with the oil @Pepperwaggytail, I'll keep trying it then. Mine was on offer in Boots this week for £6 for a big bottle (Nature Spell), so a bargain if it works.

Incognitoburrito88 · 05/09/2025 07:06

morning everyone - weigh in day for me…

wk23 - 2lb
5mg
SW 13st 7lb
CW 10st 11lb
GW 10st 7 lb

Total lost 2st 10lb

Not been on much recently - I had a bit of a stall and was feeling despondent but scales have started moving again over the last couple of days. I’m so close to goal now. Wondering if I will be happy there or might want to go lower - BMI will be 23 at my goal weight - my thighs and knees are definitely still chubby - maybe I just need to work on toning.

@sunnyspellsahead my hair loss was bad for a bit but is really slowing now so try not to worry - I didn’t do anything it just stopped on its own.

@Mumof2studentnurse your losses are incredible - I hope you start to feel better about yourself soon xx

Icebreakhell · 05/09/2025 09:46

Well done ladies, amazing efforts.

checking in.

Dose 3.75mg
SW 94kg
TW <70kg
CW 69kg BMI 24.6

Feels weird to be in the healthy weight range. My old clothes hang off me. Will see where my weight bottoms out. Bum is completely flat and a bit saggy- not good! Might reduce back to 2.5mg soon and possibly inject every 2 weeks for maintenance.

Pepperwaggytail · 05/09/2025 16:58

I’m moving between 9st 11lb and 9st 12lb. I’m injecting 2.5mg weekly and feel like I’m eating more, definitely feeling a bit more hungry! But my weight has been pretty stable for the last few weeks. I suspect if I stopped Mounjaro altogether I’d put the weight on pretty fast! 😳
I’m definitely not ready to test that theory!

WinterOnItsWayOut · 05/09/2025 19:22

@Mumof2studentnurseis your pic still in your deleted items (if on your phone?). If so you can leave it there until it is actually a mid point! Congratulations on your amazing loss, you’ve done brilliantly 👏 👏

@Incognitoburrito88seems like you are on the same path as me and @SquishyGloopyBum! I’m 12.12 to 10.7. Finally a llb off this week after 4 weeks of standstill. Def a bit more hunger and I need to up my water which has drifted….

Well done @WinterOnItsWayOut 👏

and another well done @Incognitoburrito88- winter is right on saying we are all at similar places. I’m at goal (as of last week) but wondering whether to go down a couple more pounds.

no loss for me this week but I’ve been full of cold and not really on it to be honest. So I’ve stayed at 10st7. Which is fine.

saxonyv · 06/09/2025 09:07

SW - 14st 11lbs
CW - 11st 3lbs
GW - 10st 10lbs (maybe)

didnt lose last week but lots of meals out, lost 2lbs this week.
Im titrating down now as so close to goal, am feeling slightly more snacky but trying to be mindful and use willpower, also logging all my foods, I’m in around 1200 cals so a small snack really affects what I can eat for the rest of the day!

Very similar to me

Week 20 - 7.5mg (haven’t gone higher and plans to start moving down)
SW - 12st 13
CW - 10st 6
loss to date 35lb (which sounds better than 2st7)
GW - 9st 12

Had thought of 10st 4 goal weight but keen to give myself a bit of a cushion for error.

BMI is in healthy range and biggest shock has been thighs and butt where I’ve never been slim but def am now. Walking for an hour every single day. Otherwise don’t feel I’m really depriving myself food wise - even the odd snack - but feel and look miles better.

Suspect that I may have to stay on this at a low dose for a long time to sustain this loss..

blanketsnuggler · 06/09/2025 15:22

Do you know what I’m noticing now - that seats are much less comfy!! Currently sitting on a bench watching cricket and it’s bloody uncomfortable! So was the seating at the school inset. And several other places I’ve sat down too!! I’m hoping it’s because there’s less padding on my bum now!!

SquishyGloopyBum · 06/09/2025 16:17

Been shopping today as I need new jeans. I picked out size 12s and they were all too big!

size 10. Me! Blimey!!!! Did a little happy dance in the changing room.

Doidontimmm · 07/09/2025 08:44

Gutted, have been on a weeks holiday & put on 7lbs. I morale 5mg but it spoiled my last holiday so took 2.5mg.

What I never planned for was my husband being sick (we think Covid) and therefore not doing as much walking as we would normally and ordering just eat or just choosing a nearby restaurant rather than taking our time finding somewhere decent.

Im hoping a good week will help. I was only 11lbs from goal!

Im sure it will drop back off quickly, it’s probably partly water weight. Let us know how you get on 😊

Both Medexpress and Bolt are both offering a 7.5pen for around £240, but wegovy is coming in so much cheaper that I’m tempted to try it. I really don’t know what to do! I’m fairy sure that the magic ingredient in Mounjaro is the fact that it impacts on the way your body processes sugar and insulin response. As far as I’m aware wegovy is basically just a good appetite suppressant. Any thoughts folks? 😊

Weight loss pills are definitely on the horizon!

PhantomErik · 07/09/2025 09:53

Wk24 & another pound off. Excitingly made it into a new stone bracket!

SW 16.6
CW 13.13

I moved up to 10mg & injected yesterday which is a day early as eventually I want to move to Friday's to line up with my holiday in October.

I'm still getting intermittent bleeding (have mirena coil) but that's pretty much the only side effect. Hopefully it stays that way.

Squiffy01 · 07/09/2025 12:16

@Pepperwaggytail Medino 7.5 is at £224.

Uninvitedleaf · 07/09/2025 14:03

Story in the Sunday Time today about Orforglipron tablets as well, suggesting we’ll be once of the first places to get them. Hope the share token works!

Currently on holiday and I skipped my jab this week (should have taken it today). Not feeling any difference yet so will be interested to see how much my suppression/impulse control changes over the next few days.

There's not a massive difference between Mounjaro (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide).

They are both incretins, peptides that trigger the existing processes in your body that make you feel full, basically. Wegovy is GLP-1, Mounjaro is GIP. More will be released this year.

I definitely wouldn't cause myself any financial trouble over Mounjaro vs Wegovy, @Pepperwaggytail . I am lucky to be able to afford MJ, tbh, but I've switched to Wegovy for my next order as it seems not a big enough difference to me to be worth it. If it is, no bother, I'll switch back.

SunnySpellsAhead · 07/09/2025 16:20

I wouldn't have any qualms about switching to Wegovy once I'd hit goal. For now I'm choosing to stick with MJ but I'm sure Wegovy or similar would be good enough to help with maintainence.

Such interesting news about the pills. Having a bit of a moment here imagining how different my life might have been if I'd lived it in a slim body, but so grateful I might experience it yet (and permanently if the pills are cheaper) in my senior years, 60's here I come!

QS90 · 07/09/2025 21:44

Sorry to hear about your dickhead STBXH @Mumof2studentnurse x

I get what you mean about not feeling ready for "slim" things yet. I still feel weird wearing anything other than a Size 22 sack-shaped man's tshirt or "cocoon dress".

Mumof2studentnurse · 07/09/2025 22:21

Thanks so much, @QS90 My tops are getting baggy, I was looking today and because they are so baggy, they are making me look bigger than I am now, but ive spent years trying to hide under baggy clothes, so i think its a bit of a comfort .

My body is changing in all different places, my jeans are baggy at the knees...baggy at my bum, but i still have lots of weight on my stomach. Im hoping some of the tummy weight shifts so i can move down a jeans size and maybe they will fit my body a bit better than random baggy bits ha ha.

RhaenysRocks · 08/09/2025 07:22

Just wearing my lovely boots for the first time that I got on Vinted and couldn't do up a couple of months ago. Last year at a hill I was all long skirts and flowy dresses. This year I feel like I can go back to short skirts and boots..yay.

RhaenysRocks · 08/09/2025 07:23

Oh and @Mumof2studentnurse I have a dickhead exH too..feel free to rant xx

Pepperwaggytail · 08/09/2025 07:24

I have another pen after this one before I need to decide if I’m going to switch to wegovy. It will be interesting to see how any switchers get on. I can afford to stay on Mounjaro as it’s hopefully going to be one 7.5pen every three months. But I’ll definitely be watching others. 😊

That article about the weight loss pills is great! Let’s hope we have more options next year!

Just exactly the same! Have been pinning some of my clothes as a bit of a halfway house, because otherwise I feel comforted but when I look in a mirror, I'm beginning to look like a sentient pile of laundry 😬 It's a balancing act!

QS90 · 08/09/2025 08:10

SW 224lb
CW 173.5lb
TL 50.5lb
GW 161lb

Only 12.5lb left to go, have half a pen left and two more en route, so hope to be at goal with those.

I still feel extremely jiggly everywhere though. Not sure whether this is lack of muscle tone, or skin or something else. I'm certainly a different texture to pre-children, despite the weight loss! Or maybe because of it? Can't be all bad though, as have noticed with a shock a few people checking me out lately! Either that or I had some loo roll stuck to my shoe that I didn't notice, or similar.

No loose, drooping skin either which I'm relieved about. It can certainly be pulled miles away from my body, but so far it does snap back into place.
