Hope I’ve done this right, I’ve never started a thread before.

@qs90 hope you don’t mind me starting a new one for us but thread 4 was full and I don’t want to lose my crew!

Flippin heck, just measured my height properly and I’m actually only 5’. A bit to go before I’m overweight then, better think about revising my target down as well 😂😂.

Weighed in on the new rephro scales this morning. Interesting and alarming in equal measures 😂 down to 13.2 - so a total of 5 pounds lost over the kids summer holidays which I am happy with.

The amount of FAT on those scales is eye opening to say the least - however I was convinced I was going to be 95 percent fat so I’m pleased that’s not the case 😂

I’ve set my target for 11 stone 7 pounds which I would be happy with (given I have ginormo knockers). What’s a reasonable goal weight loss target each week with that in mind? I was thinking 1.5 pounds per week for the next stone and then maybe 1 pound per week to get to the goal? X

Uninvitedleaf · 31/08/2025 12:26

@SeaDippingandLattes I have been aiming for 1.5lb/week from the start and that seems like a good rate for me. Mostly I think it works because I don’t get really disappointed if I have a week where I only get a small loss, as I know it’s likely to catch up pretty quickly and won’t affect the overall average too much. So I can recommend it from the mental adjustment point of view more than anything else!

Wk23 & another pound down.

SW 16.6
CW 14.0

NSV I needed a coat & ended up buying a size 16 which comfortably zipped up with a jumper underneath! Last year I tried on size 20 & it wouldn't meet around my hips/tummy & I had to get one from the men's section in a 2XL. That was depressing & was one of the things that stuck in my mind & was a driving force in trying MJ. Well, that & struggling to keep up with DH & teen DC at Alton Towers last year. I feel like I'm really getting my life back on track & I love it!

SeaDippingandLattes · 31/08/2025 16:19

@Uninvitedleaf thank you :) until now I have just been ‘free styling’ it as have been happy to lose whatever and until the stall I had in the summer holidays it’s come off quite quickly (well about 2.5 pounds per week) which surprised me but now that I have two and a bit pens until I will need to finish due to cost increase (about 14 doses I think unless I can get better at the bloody golden dose thing as I fuck it up each time). I thought I should probably have an aim and 1.5 seems nice and realistic for a little while until I get some more off :) to be fair if I can just get one more stone I would be over the 🌙 moon celebrating 🎉

SW 15st 9
CW 12st 2
GW 10st

Officialy 3.5st down with 2st to go! I have found the move to 7.5mg has really reduced appetite and feels a good move. I have the bonus dose in my current pen, plus a 7.5mg and a 10mg pen which I am hoping to get another 5 and 6 doses of 7.5mg from taking me to the end of November.

Will assess cost and where I am at the end of September and see what I want to do. I just feel like I need to continue my journey until I reach target having given it my all for the past 5 months.

Maintenance still terrifies me, but I think that ultimately this weight loss journey feels so different to any other time and my appetite is totally changed and even the way I eat is different now.

@Pepperwaggytail I just get diluted rosemary hair oil (not pure essential oil) online and generously apply in rows to my roots, massage in with my hands then with a hair massager tool and leave to soak in for an hour or so before I wash my hair.

Pepperwaggytail · 31/08/2025 21:46

I’m thinking I might give wegovy a go when I’ve used up my two Mounjaro pens. Just to keep in a very low dose for maintenance.
Also, I’m going to give the rosemary oil a go!

Happy Price Hike Day everybody!

But it isn't all bad - thought I would share this

@SquishyGloopyBum - I have made it to 10.7 too! 💪. My goal was 10.5 but as for you I could drop a few more so will keep going.
10 would be amazing and I made it there in 2014 for a very brief time before heading back up again which is of course a worry now. Hurry up with a maintenance pill is all I can say 😬
I do need to focus on toning up now and did go for a swim on Saturday which was lovely and I really want to get back to a Pilates class and actually make that a regular part of my routine.
i also need to go shopping as I have lots of lovely summer dresses but little for winter and want to enjoy my new figure rather than jeans and jumpers.
anyone got any recommendations for shops which have nice (casual) winter dresses?

Pepperwaggytail · 01/09/2025 09:27

I’m doing a lot of shopping on Vinted at the moment and have fallen in love with Uniqlo. They’ve got some gorgeous co ord tops and skirts in which are SO comfortable and I feel with a co ord you get the look and feel of a dress but more flexibility because you get two outfits for one. Sainsbury’s Tu also have a gorgeous suede co ord set in at the moment, but the skirts seems to have gone out of stock.
Im also now buying clothes in size 10 which is making my head spin! All my old jeans are hanging off and I’ve tried the jeans studs to add a new button but there is still too much gap! So I’ll be buying new jeans over the next few months I’m sure. Mostly from Vinted or charity shops.

Well done!!! 👏

im wondering about 10st4. I also used to be 10st years ago but it was hard to keep at even in my younger years.

I desperately need new jeans as mine are all massive. I have kept putting it off - possibly because I’m sure I’ll get bigger again if that makes sense?

I really like seasalt but they are pricey.

vl888 · 01/09/2025 13:24

Just back from holiday, so lovely catching up with everyone's posts :)

I didn't take my jab the week before my holiday so I could 'enjoy' the food and drink, and I must have enjoyed it as I put on 4lb! 😬 I was 10st5 and now 10st9, so another 9lb to lose to hit goal weight. But at least I had fun 😂

Had 10mg this morning so hopefully back on track. I have another 3 doses of this pen left, then I might go down a dose or two given the price increase. Since I'm not far off target, I cba with the hassle of switching provider or medication 😆 I tried to order another from MedExpress before the increase but they had sold out of every dose apart from 2.5mg!

Mumof2studentnurse · 01/09/2025 16:08

Just had to order my first £300 mounjaro from medexpress :(

I'm on 12.5mg. I have 3 weeks left in my current pen...well 2 more after Wednesday. I am losing weight, feeling better about myself, but the cost is a killer. I had pretty much cut down on everything to afford it at the previous prices.

So will be looking at some other options in the coming weeks.

Really nice to hear about people being so close to or already getting to target. :)

Squiffy01 · 01/09/2025 17:22

Anyone know what the cheapest price is currently?

ClimbingKilimounjaro · 02/09/2025 10:11

@WinterOnItsWayOut I love FatFace Autumn and winter collections. I tend to go shopping and trying on and then scour Vinted for the items a few weeks later. They’ll be a high price for Vinted but usually half the store price and often new with tags!

QS90 · 02/09/2025 17:33

Me too @ClimbingKilimounjaro ! Don't want to buy any more intermediate sizes, but have just got my autumn clothes back out of storage - having to pin them smaller atm but looking forward to having a thorough scour of Vinted in a few weeks! We might be in competition for the best pieces if you're a 12 / 14 😂

ClimbingKilimounjaro · 02/09/2025 17:37

Ha yes definitely in 12’s now (wild considering my 18’s were -more than- snug when I started my journey).

Oddly I like my clothes to be quite fitted rather than oversized in any way and lots of my 12’s, especially trousers - as I have long lean legs with a round tummy and fatter torso, are getting to the point where I think I probably need a smaller size, but I’ve never been a 12 in my adult life so the brain is not quite computing that!!

I have had to say goodbye to all my shorts as they are all falling down on me but with the arrival of the cooler weather I am thinking of a return to dresses, tights, and boots as is my usual autumn uniform!

ClimbingKilimounjaro · 02/09/2025 17:45

I mean never been a size 10!

WinterOnItsWayOut · 02/09/2025 23:32

Thanks @ClimbingKilimounjaroI’ll take a look there. Have Sunday pencilled for a mooch around the shops for autumn dresses and boots

Congrats to you too @fox919 you are doing amazing :)

wordywitch · 03/09/2025 08:45

Week 23 for me! I went down from 10mg to 7.5 a couple weeks ago as I was having too many side effects with 10. Still losing around 0.5-1kg per week so I’m happy with that. Today I withdrew the rest of the bonus dose I’d previously dipped into and it was only 6.7mg so I injected that and am not sure if I should bother to open the next pen to make it up to the full 7.5 or just leave it and see how I get on with the slightly lower dose this week 🤔

SW: 91kg
CW: 71kg (BMI 26)
Loss: 20kg
