End of W2 today! 100.1kg - I’m “only” 1kg down in total (no change in W1) but body fat is also showing as down so I’m very happy.

The scales were flickering between 99 and 100kg so hoping that next week I’ll have broken the 100kg barrier!

NevilleBigBottom · 27/06/2025 07:58

Found you all! I'm working today at a concert so will be in a park from 11-11 with 1 crew catering meal. I've packed the high protein snacks!

Is anyone planning to stay on 2.5, I'm losing about 2 lb a week on this and getting on ok with it, W4 D3,
Suppression is higher days 4 and 5 I've noticed

I think there are quite a lot of us planning on staying on 2.5mg. I have a 5mg pen but only doing 30 clicks to administer a 2.5mg dose. I then have the option of increasing in later weeks if the suppression has gone.

I really strongly believe that we need to feel a degree of hunger and not feel this means we need to immediately move to a higher dose. I hope to be able to manage without Mounjaro at some point and learning how to respond to hunger is part of that.

KillerMounjaro · 27/06/2025 08:36

I’m W4D5 and 1st 4lb down from starting weight. Have got my next pen at 5mg, which I ordered at the end of W2 when I had felt very hungry indeed so thought I would definitely need to move up. Since then I have had no issues like that, so maybe I would have been ok staying at 2.5.

I think I will move up to 3.75 using the bonus dose on Sunday and then see if I want to move up to 5mg or stay at 3.75 on the new pen.

Well done so far everyone!

SW 21st 11lb
CW 20st 7lb

Hiii all! My mounjaro is due to be delivered today, I decided to give it a go as I’ve been exercising and made diet changes and I cannot shift a pound - Gp is testing thyroid bloods today and I have emailed the pharmacy to see whether I should hold off for now. But if I get the go ahead I’m worried about side effects as I have kids and need to function, has anyone’s side effects been so bad they’ve not been able to get on with things?

Mynewusersame · 27/06/2025 08:46

I also had a very normal period last week: on time, no different to normal.
@KAM1989 I’ve got young children and honestly not had any side effects at all (so far). I was so worried but it seems for everyone on this thread you either will, or won’t get any. And most are manageable if you do. The only way to find out is to give it a go!
After doing 4th jab last night and seeing how much liquid is left I’ve ordered some insulin needles to try the fifth dose next week. Figured I’m going to be on this fairly long term so should try and maximise/be cost efficient. Anyone that’s already done 5th dose have any advise?

KAM1989 · 27/06/2025 09:17

@Mynewusersame thank you ! I read reviews online and it gave me the absolute fear 😂😂😂 and my Facebook is showing articles of pancreatitis and organ failure 😂😂😂 I just want real reviews I guess, I just don’t have time to be bed bound, I have a funeral Tuesday aswell.

I was 100.2kg this morning…..we are so close! 🥰

This time next week we’ll be in the under-100 club! 😁

FoxRedPuppy · 27/06/2025 10:00

I’m trying to order my next month, but I can’t decide whether to go up or not! I’m currently W2 D4 on 2.5mg. I’m getting good suppression and I’ve lost 4.5mg.

But then I keep reading stuff about 5mg being the first proper dose. I haven’t had much in way of side effects. Slight constipation, tiny bit of nausea in first week.

SnackcidentProne · 27/06/2025 10:10

First gym session completed. It’s been 2 months since I last went so was good to go back. Managed 30 minutes on the cross trainer followed by 30 minutes on resistance machines. Also started my period today. I normally crave sugar and salt the day before but not this time.

Seriestwo · 27/06/2025 10:24

I changed next months order - staying on 2.5mg. I have zero appetite - today is day 8 after jab 2 and I had a bit of toast and peanut butter for breakfast and it was a struggle to eat it. So this isn’t sustainable - I’ll jab tomorrew I think and do 1.25. Maybe tonight, will see how I feel

GirlMama04 · 27/06/2025 10:28

Morning all! Second weigh in and jab day today! Another 2lbs lost. So 9lbs in total! Im really pleased, especially as ive struggled with the loo a lot this week too ,and feel extra bloated. Here's to another loss filled week, and a lot more fibre and fibre supplements lol!

SomethingAboutYou · 27/06/2025 10:30

Morning! W4 D7 here and this week I've lost 0.6lbs which I am totally ok with! I lost 2.8lbs last week so this balances things out to around 1.7lbs a week which is perfect! Total loss since I started 4 weeks ago - 9.2lbs (4.2kgs).

What's really been the big change though is my measurements, I only measure every 4 weeks so my 1st set of change show 4 inches off my arse and 2.5 off my waist and crucially 2.5inches off my bust (I'm in the itty bitty titty society but as a big girl it's hard to get small cup bras in a large band size that fit properly so using extenders and I can't wait to wear a bra without needing to extend it!)

SW 16st (101.7kg)
CW 15st 4.8lbs (97.5kg)
Mini goal - 14st 4lbs (90.7kg)

Sticking with 2.5mg for the next pen. Hope to lose 5lbs with the next pen and see 14 on the scales for the first time in 5yrs. Managed to get down to 15st 1lbs last summer through calorie counting and excersise so hope to break that barrier with the aid of MJ!

Non scale victory for me though, my fave denim jacket fits me again, as does my fave pair of trousers 🎉🥳

NigelAdjacent · 27/06/2025 10:32

W5D3 here and 6.5kg down. Increased to 5mg this month as by the end of last week I was hungry most of the time.

Was worried about 1st night nausea so went really light for dinner and it paid off, but definitely feeling nauseous and a little ‘light’ in the legs since then. I’ve upped my calorie goal on MFP by 200cals and adjusted my protein and carb goals a
little too as I don’t think 1200 was quite enough to sustain me judging by the lightheadedness!

Happy with the loss so far - my problem is that we’re in a heatwave here (Spain) and with temps up to 36 degrees my usual 10km a day walking has just ground to a halt! But somebody’s post about having a treadmill reminded me that tucked away somewhere we have a Covid-era walking pad so I might pull that out this afternoon and get some steps in under the a/c, and re-start some gentle weights.

Does anybody have a recommendation for early-menopause focused weights workouts? I find it so intimidating but recognise it’s essential for bone density maintenance!

Hi all,
Just wanted to share that i posted yesterday about a sudden bout of what felt like bad acne in a patch on my head. Just seen the Dr today and turns out it's shingles... so you can scratch acne on off the list as a side effect :)

after my 4th dose I noticed there’s some left in the pen. I have a couple of spare needles left, can I use the remainder? I see ppl talking about having to buy a different type of syringe to get it. Does the pen stop working after 4 goes? Even if some left?

RJmama · 27/06/2025 12:22

Hello all. I’ve had some diarrhoea these last few days 🙈😱 this didn’t happen in my first week, but came on suddenly W2D3. Imodium seems to be helping a bit, and I’m also trying to consume some electrolytes to stay hydrated. Hoping it passes soon!

Yes it usually does. It locks up. Some people have got it to continue turning by force, but it can break. Most of us have used insulin needles to extract it and used it that way. I’ve really stuck my neck out and done two weeks of extraction doses. Which obviously took me 5 days over the 30 day limit, but I’ve been fine, touch wood. My pen stays in the fridge.
