Yay, thanks

W4D2 CW 12st9lbs
starting weight 13st4lbs
total loss 9lbs or 4kg

I’m aiming for 10st or under I think. Still showing as obese on BMI calculator

Chellooo · 25/06/2025 11:24

Place marking :)

ChiaraMontague · 25/06/2025 11:52

Thanks for the new thread!

Is anyone using a special app to track their weight loss and injections? I’ve seen loads of people using Shotsy but I think you have to pay for it.

Just wondering if there is anything specially designed for WLI where I could also add notes about side effects and record other info (like periods and all my thyroid test results) alongside the weight loss part so I can look back and spot any trends.

healthjourney · 25/06/2025 11:57

@ChiaraMontaguei am just using the free version of shotsy and I'm finding it useful so far. It has a nice weight loss graph and the side effect tracker is really helpful too.

TheMagnificentBean · 25/06/2025 12:23

Thanks for the new thread! I took my second jab today. First week has gone really well - I can see from reading every else's stories that I'm one of the lucky ones so hope that lasts! Very sorry to hear about everyone's SEs and hope they pass soon.

SW: 96.6 kg
CW: 94.9 kg
Weight loss this week: 1.7 kg

This means I've met my first (very) mini-goal of getting under 95kg, and I've reduced my BMI by 1. The good thing with starting at nearly 100kg is every kilo off is about 1% of my starting body weight which is quite motivating.

I'll see how this week goes and then decide whether I want to move up to 5mg for my next pen.

Bloozie · 25/06/2025 12:43

Joining to placehold - thanks for starting new thread.

WhatTodoALL · 25/06/2025 12:59

It's been 2 weeks for and I lost 2.4kg from 80.6kg. I didn't expect such a big loss tbh

RJmama · 25/06/2025 13:01

Thanks for the new thread.

Going to be a challenging few days for me as I have a few evening work events lined up, which involve food and alcohol.

I’ve had a bit of nausea again after taking my second jab on Monday. Hoping it passes soon.

Place marking - Thanks for the new thread 😀

I'm using shotsy and Nutracheck

Scrumdiddlyumptiousness · 25/06/2025 13:37

There's a notes section on My Fitness Pal, which is linked to my Garmin watch so records my steps in it too - and somehow is now also linked to my weighing scales. It's quite handy.

Card1gan · 25/06/2025 13:57

Hi, thanks for the new thread 😊 Well done to those with good weight losses, and hope the nasty SEs pass soon for those struggling.

I’m with SheMed, and based on my weigh in and a questionnaire I filled in after my second jab, they’ve prescribed and dispatched the 5mg pen. I was thinking of staying on 2.5mg for another month. Yes, I know I can still inject 2.5mg from a 5mg pen, but I’m surprised they just jumped me to 5mg so quickly. There’s no price difference between doses with SheMed so it’s not their wicked ploy to get more money out of me!

SunshineSipRepeat · 25/06/2025 14:00

I’ve had notice that my first pen has been dispatched. I’m hoping to start Thursday night if it comes in time.

I keep seeing talk about collagen and electrolytes. What brands and other supplements are people taking? Other than the vit D and general bits I already take. I don’t want to go mad and take loads until I know what I really need, but would appreciate some guidance 🙂

RussianDoll76 · 25/06/2025 14:39

Day 4 today minimum SE’s I do feel lucky. First day of feeling a full on suppression it was quite a shock and I’m not sure how I’m going to eat enough. Felt the past 4 days that it’s not working yet but I now know it definitely is and I’ve lost more weight than I thought . Will make it official Sunday on weigh day ! Hope everyone is having a good day ! 🙂

ThisNeedsToWork · 25/06/2025 14:45

Just place marking as I’m at work. Will catch up later! Hope everyone is doing well!

Emas82 · 25/06/2025 15:10

I'm officially joining you! Just took my first dose. Excited and just a little nervous of side effects.

pumicepumy · 25/06/2025 15:12

Definitely noticed less suppression on my 2nd month of 2.5 (wegovy) but my period is due. I'm still averaging 1400 kcals but craving more sweet things.

SnackcidentProne · 25/06/2025 15:33

Officially joining as just took my first dose. First goal is to drop 10kg.

SFRSmum · 25/06/2025 15:52

W2D1

SW 164lbs
CW 156lbs
GW 128lbs

(I am very short!)

Ive had a really good first week, down 8lbs in 1 week. Although 4lbs were in the first day after a heavy meal the night before.

Ive had no SE at all, aside from possibly last night when I did my 2nd injection. I did it late on at night, about 10pm and I could not sleep at all last night. It was about 3am before I finally nodded off and had a very unrestful sleep. I won't be jabbing that late again!

Ive started exercising, walking and jogging sections but taking it all very slow.

I cant tell if its actually helping or whether its all in my head! I do feel happier in myself though, less grumpy with the kids.

Dafknee · 25/06/2025 15:52

W1D2...some SA, not as many as I was expecting, got a banging headache and lower back pain? Feel a bit gassy too. Can't say my appetite is 100% suppressed. I keep imagining my favourite cake and asking myself could I eat it now!
Feel a bit shit really as panicking this isn't going to work for me and it feels like my last hope.

Roll up, roll up June Jabbers!

i have used it, the side effects made me my life miserable
im now fasting and my quality of life and mood is so much better without the drugs. the jab is a quick and expensive fix. you will gain it back

I think thats a bit unfair! There's lots of people without side effects and for a lot of people it has kick started them to losing weight with added help.

Whatanidiot123 · 25/06/2025 16:17

I’m really interested in the mood effects of MJ. It sounds like anxiety and low mood can be a feature, but there is also some hinting that it impacts cortisol and that folks feel calmer. The latter is definitely feeling true for me. What are others’ thoughts?

im not sure why its unfair
ive tried saxenda mounjaro and ozempic
i feel pretty confident in giving me honest opinion

its not a magic bullet ... for some it will be worth a try but dont throw away all your big clothes just yet

It's unfair because you're generalising from your own experience. What you experience on each of those drugs is different to what others will, so why dishearten or demotivate others with comments like 'you will gain it back' or 'don't throw your big clothes away'?

The ideal behind the thread is to be supportive to other people's choices. You choose your way, others will choose Thurs. Respect and encouragement are free!
