W4D1. Just did 4th jab. Now I know what you mean about the golden dose! So much liquid left! I was too scared to buy my own needles to extract it, but have popped it back in the fridge just in case I change my mind. However I’ve also received a 5mg pen ready for next week so don’t think I’ll use it this time.
SW 104.4kg
CW 100.1kg
GW who knows? Mini goals of every 5kg I think. I’d be delighted to be 85kg again as I lost that much in lockdown and have some nice clothes from then which no longer fit! Proper goal is a healthy BMI for my height which is something silly like 65kg!
Bit disappointed not to have lost more this week but I know it’s steady. Did someone say something about 1% of your body weight a week being a good rate?
For anyone new reading this, I have been moving my jab day forward a day each week to bring it to the weekend, so have jabbed every 6 days not 7. I felt happier doing that rather than moving it 3 or 4 days in one go and having 2 jabs so close together!
Saw an acquaintance I haven’t seen for ages yesterday who looked a fraction of her former self and wondered if she’d been on the jabs too! Too embarrassed to ask though!
No significant SE so far. I usually suffer with a bit of IBS and that has stopped - much more regular but possibly slightly constipated. However after a big lasagne on Friday I had my more usual movement which by anyone else’s standard would probably amount to diarrhoea so I guess that’s a SE.

Hi, they do some lovely protein mousses and puddings ( I don’t like yoghurt) I get them from Asda , Tesco , Morrisons or Aldi depending how I’m shopping various flavours worth checking where you usually shop a lot more widely available now . 🙂

This one is very yummy as well, I think you can get it from most supermarkets, half a pot is very satisfying

Crinklecat · 06/07/2025 15:22

Yes I’ve been eating the protein mousse and pudding, so filling. Morrisons do them 5 for £5

Catladyof7 · 06/07/2025 15:36

Thanks. Just looked and its in Tesco and doing an online shop next weekend , have added it.
Also bought some protein bars , Yubi mint chocolate ones . They will be here tomorrow.

Hey, those of you who wanted to know how the night 'out out' went on MJ. Fairly good I'd say. I had 2 proseccos, 4 JD and diet coke, 4 fireball shots and spaced out with 3 bottles of water in between.

No horrendous hang today, just the usual lethargic and headache - unsurprising. No increased SEs and no craving the usual hangover grease 😂

Catladyof7 · 06/07/2025 16:04

Week 3. Day 1 .
Didn't have any scales when i started as was going to do it clothes wise going down in sizes.
Wasnt giving me much incentive, so got scales this week .

I am sure i wasnt far of 13st when i started .
Got weighed again today and 12st 6 lbs

I can fit into a size 16now and fasten up which i couldnt do before.
Admittedly they are still too tight , but two weeks ago i couldnt fasten them
3 rd jab later .
I have stuck to 1000 calories and sometimes less .
So onwards and downwards hopefully.

TheMagnificentBean · 06/07/2025 16:49

Just ordered my second pen. Monj.co.uk suggested an amazing deal so I’ve switched provider (I went with Lloyds for my first because I wanted a “real” pharmacy but they want £175 for a 5mg and I’ve got it with an intro off for under £100 so it was a no brainer).

Of course as soon as I decided to go up to 5mg my 2.5 dose kicked back in again. I wonder if I did something wrong with my second dose because so far W3 has been much better than W2 (more like W1). I can still eat but no worrying about if I’ll have “enough” food and feeling full and able to stop after a normal sized portion and able to resist snacks.

Thornrose · 06/07/2025 16:59

I jabbed yesterday, 4th one. I've had no suppression at all today.

I took dd to McDonald's and had a cheeseburger, so mad at myself.

I feel really hungry and I haven't felt properly hungry since starting.

I drank 5 canned cocktails on Friday night and I had 4 G&Ts and a packet of crisps last night. That's crept up and knocked my complacency somewhat.

I was 14.9 on Friday morning and I'm 14.11 today. I've got another 2.5 pen but if I continue to be hungry all week I might try 3.75 on my next go.

I have days like this. Yesterday I was on deliveroo for the first time since starting, wasn’t necessarily hungry but couldn’t help myself. Had 1/2 a pizza, 1/2 courgette fries and 2 glasses of wine. Logged my calories still and was still under 1700 calories for the day. Normally I’d have finished the pizza and the bottle of wine so I think MJ is still having an impact even when we don’t realise it.

so far today I’ve had 800 and probably won’t have anything else. 4th jab tonight

Sam187 · 06/07/2025 18:49

@Thornrose @Crinklecat I think it's important that we recognise that this is long haul. We can't be 100% at all times forever. We can have little treats and learn how to not ruin the rest of the day/week over it ☺️.

I've hardly eaten today, so I've just ordered a takeaway with the other half as I'm a little delicate still. Opted for less than I'd usually order, so I'm ok with that and right back to it in the morning 😄

Midlifecrisis765 · 06/07/2025 20:21

Crazy question, is anyone tempted to stop completely and continue to try to loose weight by themselves?

Im torn, i wanted to use it as a bit of a springboard to get started and get the bug for loosing weight.

I gained due to multiple miscarriages/ TFMR / MMC / complications like sepsis and haemorrhages. It’s been pretty shit and I ate my feelings. I have lost weight before if I get in the right mind set.

I feel like I might be able to do it alone without the jab but I’m nervous!

Sometimes yes. I don’t actually get much suppression generally, so am using willpower and eating a healthy diet. So it is a tempting thought, especially this month when I’m v skint! But I do think it has helped my “stickability” to eating better. I often fall off the wagon at around -20lbs, which is where I am now. So I’m going to stay with it for a bit. I’m hoping when the loss is well over 2 stone, and on the way to 3 stone I might be chuffed enough to carry on alone. But probably not!

You're right, it's my first off day in 3 weeks. I haven't eaten anything else all day. I'm not feeling hungry again.

I will have something light in a minute as a cheeseburger isn't enough for the day.

And yes, this is actually a tiny blip compared to my 'bad days' pre jabs!

I’m hoping not to be on it for long. But, I’m not really using it for the appetite suppression as I’m not really getting that and I’m still using willpower and making good choices. But for the past year and a bit I’ve eaten well, had willpower and exercised daily, I’ve not changed that. I’m experimenting to see if it helps with what I believe to be insulin resistance due to PCOS making it near on impossible for me to loads a lb. I’m hoping to stick to 2.5mg and see how it goes.

Yes @Sam187 you're right. I've got a bit of perspective back.

Seeing the 2 lb gain just reminded me of my previous weekend yo yoing habits and frightened me.

SomethingAboutYou · 06/07/2025 21:17

@Midlifecrisis765 yes I've thought the same. But then I remember that this time last year I was in a calorie defecit, exercising and walking lots and still took 4 months to lose a stone and a half despite me being severely overweight. I was yo-yoing in the same place for weeks. And this time, with the help of Mounjaro I've dropped 10lbs in 5 weeks and might be hitting a lower point on the scales soon and it feels achievable to be getting beyond last year's lowest point so I'm going to stick with it.

DH reckons I should go in for a penny in for a pound and up it to 5mg next month. I'm not so sure, I want to remain on the lowest dose as I want to get off it relatively easy and quickly (I think I'm in bit of denial about needing to take something to help me lose weight so am scared if I go up the doses I'll become hooked and not want to get off it. Not sure why that's a bad thing tbh, I'm on asthma meds for life so why is this any different 🤷‍♀️). The mental rollercoaster of it all!

MissMogs · 06/07/2025 21:25

Why oh why do I get back on the scales! How can I be a kilogram heavier tonight than this morning??

Easy - food, fluid, hot weather etc.

Weigh first thing with an empty stomach.

I think I was excited because the other day I was lighter in the evening, and this morning I was .1 over 100kg and was hoping I might have dropped below…my body had other ideas!! Still waiting for that magical moment of seeing 99. something not 100. something!

@Thornrose glad you're back in a good mindset. It's hard to break that relationship with the scales too, but they fluctuate every day. I'm a daily weigher for that reason. To be able to recognise that lack of sleep, fluids, toilet habits, exercise, weather etc all impact it. Realistically, you will not have eaten the 3500+ additional calories it would take to gain 2lbs, it'll be water retention for any of the various reasons above and will likely drop again in the next couple of days. Be kind to yourself and try not to be triggered by the scales 💕
