I thought someone may have questioned the little orange box in the fridge but no, guess who does all the cooking in our house! 😆

Haha, I hid mine behind the cans of Pepsi max in the fridge which incidentally I can’t seem to drink anymore!

My pen is hidden in a box of 10 cans of cider in the fridge. Hope nobody starts drinking them because I’ll need to find a new hiding place. I have 2 uni aged girls who are back for the summer and I think would be very disapproving. Husband is very supportive, but concerned that the weight appears to have gone from my boobs first 😂

I’ve only told DH and one friend, and only told her as she’s been on her own weight loss journey(s) over the years and last time I saw her we were talking about WLI. Then when I found my online doc/provider (I live abroad) I was a bit over excited and told her. Kind of wish I hadn’t…. I feel some kind of shame about it tbh, weird because everyone else doing I think “good for you” but I think others think it’s a cop out or cheating somehow, dunno.

Not sure what to say if/when the weightless becomes noticeable. Feels disingenuous to not acknowledge it but it’s also no one else’s business.

W1D7 here and scoffed 3 mini donuts today at work (sugar cravings were back though appetite not huge, but then eating sweet stuff never is about appetite us it…) Felt very sluggish afterwards and guilty and disappointed with myself, especially as it’s weigh-in day tomorrow………

Last day W4. Weirdly very suppressed today - struggled to eat lunch.
Just extracted and administered the extra bonus dose! 0.6ml was used after getting rid of bubbles.
May stay on 2.5mg next month…

Yes that’s how I feel. Like I’m embarrassed to be on it and what other people’s reaction to it will be. I know it’s no one else’s business but I live in a small town where people know and want to know everyone’s business!
I tend to find the effects of the jab start to wear off the day before the next one…I could defo eat 3 mini donuts easily 😂. Don’t beat yourself up, this is all new to most of us and tomorrow is another day 😊

W3 D3. Last night went out for a curry and drinks with DP and some friends. Today I have felt awful! Like a terrible hangover. Acid reflux and nausea in and off again.

And I do want to lose weight, but I want to be able to enjoy socialising too.

End of W4 for me today, and only 1 pound down this week. I was another couple of pounds down earlier in the week but think the combination of a couple of larger work lunches, a few drinks, and the hot weather has definitely had an impact on the scales. Still a stone down from when I started which is amazing.
Planning to do 5th dose tonight with insulin needle so anxious about that.
Reassuring to see some other smaller losses from others as you know it’s normal, and over time all those losses add up!

The effect of MJ and on me is that I couldn’t care less whether I ever drink alcohol again!

Just thinking ahead. Is anyone taking it on holiday with them and carrying on as normal? I’ve still 6 weeks to go but thinking ahead. I’m also thinking you potentially need to tell your travel insurance in case you get something like pancreatitis?

W3D1 lost 9lbs so far, happy with that! Just reordered a 2.5mg pen as so far it’s working well. Am I the only one too scared to do the golden dose? I’m such a scaredy-cat….

Yeah I get that. But drinking wine is a thing me a DP do together. And I don’t want him to think he has to give up altogether!

Please don’t think of a 1lb loss as small. That is what you should be losing a week. Anything more than that and you are losing muscle. It’s bad for you to lose much quicker than that, in terms of loose skin, muscle loss, maintaining too. The slower the weight loss the more likely it is to be maintained.

Losing water in first week is to be expected, but after that 0.5lb to 1lb a week is perfect.

I’m not scared, I just can’t be arsed 😂. Ordering the needles and watching the videos feels like too much effort!

We told our travel insurance people.

They weren't particularly bothered or interested, but at least we've logged it.

Know there's advice upthread, but I'm not sure i can be arsed to hunt for it.

But pretty sure I've got a full dose left in my pen (did wk4 jab yesterday)

I thought I wouldn't do the golden dose thing, but then the actual injections were so much more straightforward than I anticipated that it seemed a bit mad not to. Also, I am going on a 12 day UK camping/festival holiday in August where I plan to miss a dose in the middle, and realised if I do the golden dose my pens will line up so I take my last dose as I go and have a new pen to come back to, rather than either starting a new pen (and setting the 30-days ticking before I go away or having the faff of taking a pen camping with me so as not to waste a dose.

I will def be using mine. There’s definitely a dose in there and it’s very simple to do. Over a year that’s 10 extra doses so over 2 pens saved on! Which is anywhere between £200 - £350 for some people.

I'm also too scared to do it! 🙋‍♀️

I think it would be easy enough to take an open pen camping. I’m going on a trek on September to an sourthern African country and I intend on taking an open pen with me.

I'm sure it's doable, but festival camping is significantly below standard camping in terms of both hygiene and comfort, plus my favourite cider bus will be at my second festival at the end of the stretch and I want to be able to want some!

@FoxRedPuppy yes definitely agree. I think I meant small in comparison to the big losses you see at the beginning 🙈 I’m very happy with my 1 pound down. To be able to lose weight consistently over the course of several months is what Mounjaro is giving me the confidence to believe in. (Even with normal fluctuations and even gains that you’ll see along the way with holidays, general life, etc)
