I hadn’t even thought of that @Catladyof7 but you are right I should check

My friend at work has Covid very recently so it’s defo doing the rounds! Hope you feel better soon.

MissMogs · 02/07/2025 17:30

Has anyone forced the pen/used a syringe to extract extra liquid and used it for their 4th jab, so effectively increased the dose at jab 4 rather than waiting for jab 5?

I wondered that too .

MissMogs · 02/07/2025 18:06

Catladyof7 · 02/07/2025 17:57

I wondered that too .

Would seem like an ideal time to do a partial dose to make the jump to 5 less of a jump? The extra bit might make up a 3.75?

Yes, I've was the same with needing to splint daily and frequently having to remove digitally (sorry for tmi). I worked with a pelvic floor physio to strengthen things up which has really helped. As long as I avoid constipation I rarely need to splint now. I'm hoping that getting down to a healthy weight might also help.
My gynae wanted me to have the repair surgery, but I'm a full time carer for my two autistic teenagers, so no way I'd be able to rest up to recover.
It's great to hear that the surgery has worked so well for you. I'll almost certainly need it in the future.

I think I need a pelvic floor physio and some senna 🤣 Thanks for sharing your experience, it’s great that the physio has had a positive effect for you. It brings hope…

Just of tangent a bit, but have you heard of the app Squeezy? It reminds you to work through pelvic floor exercises daily and helps you do them.

W2 D2
Had lunch with a friend, where we work is close to lots of street food places. We went for our usual curry, I couldn't eat even half of it, first time ever that has happened. Nearly 6hrs later and still not hungry.

healthjourney · 02/07/2025 18:54

I hope you guys don't mind if I share a NSV here, I bought myself a new pair of jeans in a size 14 on vinted a few weeks ago to use as a mini goal..... and they fit! I didn't expect that to happen so quickly but I'm so pleased, I love them ( and they were only £5) 13lbs down and ive dropped a dress size 😊

Congratulations! I literally have had exactly the same today! 13.5 lost and down to a size 14 too!

I had it ages ago and used to use it…… thanks for the reminder!

Evening everyone.

This thread moves so fast. But i love reading about how well most of you are doing. And sympathies to those who are struggling.

W4D1 for me and I've just injected. I actually forgot to weigh this morning, so will do it tomorrow, but I think I've lost 3 - 4 lbs this week.

2.5 is DEFINITELY working for me. Good suppression, no (or v few/mild) SEs, and I'm losing each week. I think it's about 10lbs in the past 3 weeks, so I'm very happy with that.
Definitely going to stay on this dose (and have ordered). I just don't see the point in going up. I'm also going away in less than 3 weeks, and don't want to ruin precious holiday. I'll think about stepping up once I'm back.
It's going to mean week 9 I don't jab, but I think I'll live with that and take the consequence.

I had a nice NSV, which is I have a light bomber jacket which I wear in spring/autumn. I NEVER do it up, because when I do it's so tight, I look like a hot water bottle with legs. It does up easily now and is baggy.

Good luck to everyone as we go through July

RatherTardy · 02/07/2025 21:03

Oh, and i meant to say...

There's quite a lot of liquid left in my pen. I COULD order some needles and take that next week as my "golden dose"? But I'm kind of scared to. I'm worried I'll somehow do it wrong. Is it VERY obvious how you use them?
It would mean I don't miss that week 9 while I'm away, so I'm tempted.

Boxingshibes · 02/07/2025 21:45

I'll be taking w3 on sat of 2.5 . Last week I felt full till the Friday but w2 I had to eat lunch today but could only eat half my supper.
I don't know if I go up to 5mg. I've had constipation but I don't go much normally. I had 1 day of diarrhea but nothing else. My alcohol consumption has halved or more so good.

I'm only 8lbs down (W3D2) but my size 14 jeans now fit & loads of my size 14 work trousers. I'm hoping by the time I go back to work (teacher in Scotland, so been off a week already) in 6 weeks I'll be able to wear lots of nice things I've not been able to for ages.

Well done you, & Booklover

It’s my 2nd 2.5 jab tomorrow, have really found my appetite suppression has dropped today! I could have (but didn’t) eaten everything!

That’s good. A victory in itself. I think it’s good to exercise the willpower now and again, otherwise you will have a shock at the other end.

Same for me. Although it’s never been super high really, but I’ve not really been bothered about snacking. Today though I could have.

I was very on the fence about taking the golden dose but ordered some syringes so I had the option. Then found a video on a guy talking you through it (I’ve posted upthread) and he made the theoretical seem very easy. I still wasn’t sure as I thought I had a big air bubble after priming but went with it in the end and the week has gone fine!

W6D1 for me today. I need to go to the office rather than WFH as usual on a Thursday so switching from an 8am injection to 4pm today before the kids get home. I will be starting my new 2.5mg pen.

BadgerFace · 03/07/2025 07:46

Weigh stats for W6 D1

SW 12 stone 2
CW 11 stone 4
GW 10 stone 7

I am delighted to be 3 pounds down this week after a couple of slow weeks! Real boost despite a couple of nights out and sticking to 2.5mg for the golden dose and new pen for later today.

Bloozie · 03/07/2025 08:40

Nothing much to report on W2D5 - suppression is mostly still very good. I woke up this morning and had 3 minutes of hunger and then it went. Weird.

I'm thinking of moving from an online pharmacy to a real world one in my village - I like the idea of a formal monthly weigh in and measure, and someone keeping an eye on my blood pressure and stuff. I think it will hold me more to task as well as the months pass by. It's all very new now and I'm being really mindful and recording every calorie in a spreadsheet, but I don't know how long I will be able to keep that energy up and having someone to be accountable to as well as myself might be useful.

It costs a bit more but I'm saving on wine and snacks - not just for me, the whole house. They've come on an accidental diet with me...

UglyBastardFace · 03/07/2025 08:46

My weekly losses:

6lb week 1
2lb week 2
2lb week 3
Olb week 4

Disappointed no loss this week especially as I am keeping to 1100 calories most days. Tomorrow upto 5mg!

Hey all ! Glad most are doing well on this journey !
mum on my second week I jagged on Sunday and so far I’ve lost nothing !!
last week it didn’t seems to come off me until the weekend
but has anyone maintained so early on ?
I have been eating a hell of a lot less no chocolate snacks etc !
I also work nights so no late night snacking or second dinner 😂
and advice would be great as it’s so expensive to continue if this is it :(

Gingercar · 03/07/2025 09:13

What was your first week’s loss like? You’ve still a few days until Sunday.. some people sometimes get a little plateau then a bigger loss the next week. It’s not always uniform. Hold your nerve. I bet some comes off nearer the time. It’s always good to do measurements after each couple of weeks too.

healthjourney · 03/07/2025 09:20

@Jenny2020 I know it's hard but you just have to try to be patient. Actual fat loss might be fairly steady but there are some many other factors that influence the weight on the scales (hydration, water retention, food volume and digestion, hormonal cycle etc) especially with the very hot weather recently that we need to all try to not focus on the daily and weekly fluctuations and wait to see the trend over time.
If you are in a calorie deficit you will see progress, just try to focus on what you can control for a while ❤️
